Sunday = Rest Day

Well... I chose to sleep in after getting up to pray with Alan and having my quiet time.

I did not wake Mom up as she was up quite a bit... for bathroom reasons...

When Mom did get up, we had a battle of the 'mind'. She insisted that she had already taken a shower and would not take another one... Finally, after going back and forth and trying to reason with her, she was convinced that she didn't take a shower and relented! With the weather being so hot and muggy and her 'bathroom habits', she HAS TO take a shower on a DAILY basis!

We had HOP this afternoon... I shared "Dare to Serve" with a Family Focus. Two new friends came from Soochow Bible study group... It was fantastic to have them there...And we started our Love Feast again... Fantastic...

We had our Family Time this evening instead of last night because Alan and I started watching the movie, Just Mercy while waiting for Isaiah to come back from dinner with Vikki. We enjoy movies that are based on true stories...

Oh as for the weather, we had quite a bit of a down pour, which cooled the day down! I wanted to go for a run... but no run on Sunday!

Daily Lovely Insight:

II Corinthians 7:10
10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

See that "BUT"... there is a worldly sorrow... and a godly sorrow... one leads to salvation, BUT the other leads to death. So... what's the difference? I think the difference is repentance. Repentance means a turning away from the life choices that hindered ones relationship with God. Repentance means to 'go and sin no more'. You can't live in the old when you have godly sorrow... You come to realize how your life apart from Jesus was so 'off'... Worldly sorrow is only a regret that you got caught... but it carries no weight for change!

I think people need to have a godly sorrow that brings repentance and change!
