The Continuation from Yesterday

I must update you on the royal mess...

First of all... the cell phone was weird because the old phone still had our friend's sim card in it. That's why it was showing as Chung Hwa Telecom!

Secondly, Alan is getting back his contact on LINE app and had to ask all his 'people' to invite him back into the different chat groups.

Thirdly, one group that was quite concerned and called was Nanhu PTA chairperson... she was like, What's going on? You have to be a part of this year's PTA... we need you to help get people to donate money... ha, ha, ha... That was one group I was glad to 'lose' when Alan's LINE app went berserk. But since they called, I now have to go on two Saturday mornings in September for MEETINGS!

Abby was so upset with herself... but she really did such a great job. I love my 'new' phone. The battery works... I get all the messages... Alan wrote Abby a message to encourage her! She was really beating herself up because Alan sounded so disappointed on the phone last night when we talked to him! She really loves her daddy... and would never do anything to upset him! Such a sweet daughter! Indeed her name is Abigail!

What A Royal Mess!

I use other people's discarded old phones...

The one I was using, Abby's cracked one, was dying... the battery would go berserk in less than 2 hours... So... I had to ask my kids to help me.

Isaiah was too busy using his cell phone to give me any assistance.

Abby, as sweet and helpful as she is, spent the entire evening trying to set up my 'new' cell phone. When she was finished, she handed it to me... WECHAT seemed fine. But when I looked at the LINE app... oh no... I noticed that it said, Alan A. has left the chat... what?  It appears that when she transferred everything and they asked for a cell phone number and Abby put in Alan's cell number... SUPER MESS! It registered my phone as Alan and kicked Alan out... Poor Alan... He's in the States and he is going to be in ROYAL trouble... He won't be able to use his LINE app until he gets back to Taiwan...

He never reads this blog... but his mom and aunt Ethel do... so... they are going to inform him very soon about this problem... if he hasn't discovered this already...

Furthermore, when his SIM card was in, the phone showed that it was ChangHwa Telecom, not Taiwan Mobile... HUH????

What a royal mess!

High tech is not high tech when a low tech person is using the high tech stuff!

Dining with My Brother, James

It was another exhausting day...

I had NSB class this afternoon and I had to prep for that!

Then, we were off to dinner with James at another exquisite restaurant! It was very expensive -- 100US$ per person!

We ordered quite a bit... including lamb chops. Those were fabulous...

In other news... Isaiah got an 87 in his summer class.

Abby will be starting school tomorrow.

I set up my tutoring schedule for this semester and I'll be tutoring almost every evening -- Monday to Friday!

I must head off to bed... I need to sleep! I need to get up early to take Abby to the MRT station and then head to my morning tutoring session!

Double Duty Day

Yesterday was a double duty preaching day and today was a double duty tutoring day!

Again, God sustained me...

I had several projects spread out on my dining room table -- tutoring prep, sorting of charging wires and components...

Plus, I wanted to get some housework done.

At least I didn't have to cook as we still had plenty in the refrigerator.

Abby had cram school starting at 3:30.

Isaiah had a completely free day to do nothing!

And yes, the weather is still super super hot. I didn't even go for my usual morning walk as it was so hot by 7am!

I hope this weather will cool down when we head into the month of September... It would be so nice to start running again!

Thank You Jesus!

The Lord again fulfilled His promise to never leave or forsake me!

Two services... two different messages... He did it all!

He even blessed me with red dragon fruits on sale -- 7 for 100NT$. And for Love Feast tonight, we had Greek food, which is one of my favorites!

What A Day!

The day started early... as usual...

I tutored in the morning after dropping off Abby at the cram school.

Then I went to see another apartment. It needs a lot of work but at least it doesn't have a narrow stairway!

On the way back home, I picked up Abby. Isaiah was serving as a counselor for the junior/high school one night retreat.

Abby and I went for a treadmill workout! And then to the night market and bought several delicious snacks...

I had housework to do plus I baked two loaves of bread! I also had to prep for my messages tomorrow!

When my head hits the pillow tonight, it's going to feel nice!

It Happened Again!

Yes, I went out to tutor and within 5 minutes, the rain came again... I had to scooter back and take the car... I couldn't let all my teaching materials get wet!  Somehow God worked it out that I got to my tutoring place, being only 5 minutes late! What a miracle!

I used the day to catch up on housework... I'm still not finished with all the cleaning! My big task for this morning was getting the refrigerator cleaned out... I'm trying to finish up as much stuff as possible... but since it's been too hot to eat, I have not been cooking much! But today, I took out pork chops and baked breaded pork chops... and made another noodle dish... plus I bought lots of fruit...

The kids were off, doing their own thing. Isaiah went out to lunch with a friend and then went to watch the Universidad basketball games. A friend had an extra ticket!

Abby had cram school starting at 2:30.  I picked her up at 9:20.

Our neighbors came over for dinner... as I needed help to finish up all that I had made.

I ran a few errands this morning, but I still have a few more that I did not get to do... One of them is to go and see more apartments... I hope to do that tomorrow...
