I Tried to Rest, Rest, Rest...

I had to take the time to rest today... this month has been way too busy... So...

After Mom, the kids and Alan took off, I got my books and sat and read. After about an hour, I took a nap! I did not open my eyes until about 90 minutes later... I felt as if I could have slept the whole day! But... as the rain had stopped, I went out for my hour run. I couldn't take the whole day off... I had to turn on the computer and help edit papers and arrange things for church, plus prep for my next talk. But by 4pm, I had to go and buy a few things for my kids as it's the last day of their birthday month!

I got back just a few minutes late. Mom was already home and the driver was wondering where I was. I had set out Mom's dinner before I took off! Every day, I wonder... how did the day go by so fast?

I didn't have tap dancing tonight. And I was so glad as it was pouring out! It's not fun to ride in the pouring rain!

Daily Lovely Insight:

Reading King's Cross and this struck me -- Jesus is saying that he wants more than busyness; he wants the kind of character change that only comes from realizing that you have been ransomed. So true... Does my character reflect the reality that I've been ransomed?

Tim Keller continues -- Do you have the power to wait through Jesus' delays? Is it very clear to people who know you best that your character is undergoing radical regeneration? Or are you just very busy with religious activities?

Another Go-Go-Go Day!

I can't believe how busy this Sunday became!

I did a load of laundry, rushed to get Mom ready and took off to tutor! What was going to be an hour session, turned into 2.5 hours!

I then had to go to Costco to pick up pumpkin pies, but they didn't make any because they didn't have the paper that Alan had filled in back on 11/11! They had the paper for 12/27, but not for today!

So, I rushed around and thought about buying a birthday cake, but I couldn't fit that box on my scooter. I finally found holiday homemade cookies and got to church 7 minutes before the service started!

I shared about the purpose of the prayer walk... which is the last one for 2020! And today is the first Sunday of the Advent and the focus is on HOPE! How perfect!

The Lord held off the rain but there was a slight sprinkle.

A sister used the turkey bones and veggies I dropped off and made the most amazing turkey soup. Everyone had a bowl and more... and just had a great love feast!

I came back and had to tidy up the house, fold the clothes and put everything away!

Now, I sit and write this blog... My feet hurt...

Daily Lovely Insight:

I read several verses and Isaiah 63:7 is one of them... Doesn't it just scream HOPE?!?!?!

Celebration!

We were all up early...

I searched to find a place for Abby to get her hair done... Most places now are so busy that you need to make a reservation ahead of time. I found one near where Mom was going for her massage! Yippy! Alan stayed home with Mom and Abby took off on her scooter! We got an appointment for 11am. She had her hair washed and cut and I just had a wash!

Alan drove Mom over to the massage place and we all met there. Mom and Abby went for a massage, while I went in search of dessert! I rode her scooter and I got home just 10 minutes before we were taking off again!

This afternoon and evening, we went to the Jinshan Camp Site and hung out with church friends. There was so much food! Mom ate and ate and ate!

We celebrated her birthday there and came home... after Mom went to bed, we continued the celebration! We didn't get home until 9pm. Mom was finally in bed by 9:30 and we did gifts and more desserts!

Daily Lovely Insight:

I brought my tap shoes to the camp site and was able to practice a bit... and in the rain! It was so fun to be 'singing (and dancing) in the rain'! And no matter what our circumstances, we can say, "this is the day that the LORD has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it."

"Black Friday" Fun Day!

Alan and I took time to read the two devotional books and pray together before we headed out as we had a list of things to buy! Abby's birthday gifts -- workout pants... and other gift items... Fruit for the day trip tomorrow with our church friends... Veggies for Sunday turkey soup since I have bones from three turkeys! We ventured out towards the Costco area. I sent Alan into Costco to see what that was like. We just needed vitamin C. He couldn't find egg nog, still... and he said, "It's the usual madness!" We didn't drive over to this area because of 'black Friday' sales.

At RT Mart and Carrefour, things were a lot calmer and organized. We had lunch and bought all the food items and some more! We decided to buy pizza at RT Mart so that we didn't have to cook! Our fridge space is very limited at this point because of the turkey bones!

We came back, unpacked... and soon, Mom was home.

My cousin, Mitzi, was up in Taipei from Tainan and visited Mom. She wanted to take us out to lunch, but Alan and I had planned our afternoon already! With Abby's birthday tomorrow, we would not have any other time to shop for her! She and her husband, Tom, had a very nice visit with Mom and bought bread from the Hyatt for us to enjoy!

This evening when the kids got home, we had family time. We had three desserts -- leftover pumpkin pie, Mexican flan and 'round-round' custard pies! Needless to say, it was a fun family time!

Daily Lovely Insight:

Titus 2: 21-22

What a perfect verse to commit to memory! The grace of God has appeared to all men through the coming of Jesus. And this salvation is for all men! The faith we have in Christ should be seen in our actions, lives that are able to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives... in this present age! Like Paul at the time he wrote this letter, like Noah at the time he built the ark, so we too... in this evil and perverse time... Through the presence of Jesus, we can choose to live in a way that testify to the truth that our God is alive! I told Alan, "We should consider this for our next year Family Focus Passage!"

Happy Thanksgiving!

People don't celebrate it here, but some restaurants do serve a special "Thanksgiving Set Meal"... but it's expensive!

I love this holiday as it reminds us to be grateful...

I had tutoring from 1:30 to 5pm... Very busy!

I did go for a run at around 12noon and it was hot! It didn't feel like November!

Mom had some turkey, squash and rice for dinner. After she went to bed, I went and ran errands. I didn't get as much as I had wanted to do this morning!

Alan had his basketball time at Soochow. Abby had her basketball practice and Isaiah had tennis practice.

Daily Lovely Insight:

This morning, I used the time to prep for next week's studies! For Soochow -- Living a Life of Giving. For Tuesday morning -- the Cursing Tongue. For Tuesday evening -- Despair and Drought! I quite enjoy all these studies! So, here is one question for you to consider:

Why do you think the widow was able to give her all (the two copper coins)?

(See the story in Mark 12: 41-44 or Luke 21: 1-4).

Birthday Fun...

Isaiah turned 22 today! In the morning, he had an interview with an ultra-marathoner in Canada! He then worked on transcribing all the notes and then he will translate everything for a 'virtual' conference as the 24hr Ultra had to be cancelled this year! He went to his basketball practice and I took off for my Bible study.

Alan had left earlier as he had the Thanksgiving luncheon. We prayed that the students will come to know Jesus through these special events.

After the Bible study, I rode to find the ice cream cake store! I bought one... what a splurge! 35US$!

We had booked a buffet restaurant, which we went to after Mom was in bed! We made a late reservation! We have found that if we disrupt Mom's schedule, we will pay for it! She gets hyper and we cannot sleep! Saturday is going to be Abby's celebration and we are going out to JinShan. So, she's going to enjoy all the food then. We can't let her eat that much in one week. Plus, this Sunday is going to be another feast at church as I ordered special food.

Daily Lovely Insight:

The other verse that we did not choose is Joel 2: 12-13.

We love this passage, but we felt it's more for a country, not for our family. Nevertheless, it is wonderful to meditate on God's word!

Postponed!

Both Bible studies were postponed... It is a busy week for everyone!

I am actually glad. I feel more relaxed and have a bit of time, instead of feeling so rushed! I got to do my run... but that's about it! I didn't get to sit and read and eat 'bon-bons'. That's a joke! It's like a 'dream' -- to have time to do nothing but lounge around with a book and yummy snacks!

I had to contact restaurants about the church party. I dropped off things for friends. I tutored! I finished my Sunday talk notes and have started on another talk for December. I am also thinking about what to share for January! In December, the HOP topic/theme is Dare to Hope! Paul often began his letters with the idea of hope. And for me, I agree with 1 Corinthians 15:19, If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. But that won't be the verse for my talk on 12/13. Can you guess what will be my text?

Daily Lovely Insight:

You know our verse for 2021 -- Psalm 67:1-2. It took an extra week before we could decide because we had three that we were all drawn to! The other two were: Jeremiah 31:25 and Joel 2: 12-13.

Isn't that a beautiful verse? God will refresh those who are weary and satisfy those who are faint! I need that promise, every day!

Seek Him First!

Planning the HOP Year-end Party & Other Things!

Alan and Isaiah were up early to watch the Chargers' game. They finally won!

After Mom left, and before Isaiah took off, I asked him to help me lift the top of our bed so that I can go through all the blankets and sheets and put together another huge bag of donations! I dropped that off this afternoon!

Then I was on the phone calling to find a place within a budget for our 12/26 White Elephant/Year-end/ HOP Appreciation Party! I am waiting to hear back.

Alan called Mom Bea via Skype and had a nice chat with her. It's always fantastic to catch up with what she is doing. We also get news about Alan's brother and his family!

The weather was sprinkling, but nice... So I went out for a run. This week's training is -- 4x -- 12 kilometers!

I got back and did a load of laundry and tidied up the house. I never have time on the weekends to do this! I also had to prep for this Sunday's talk and edit things for others!

This evening -- I had tap dancing... It's difficult to improve since I don't have the time to practice! But I do enjoy my sincere attempt to follow along!

Daily Lovely Insight:

Today I was writing up my talk notes for this Sunday as well as typing up our 'thanksgiving list'! As I looked at all the verses that I will be reading, there seemed to be a theme. As giving thanks is a choice, so is the choice we make to see life through the eyes of faith. Too often my eyes get blurry with the reality of a situation and I lose sight of God's presence in that circumstance. For walls to come tumbling down, for seas to be parted, for souls to turn to God, we need to recall what God said to Joshua over and over and over again (Joshua 1:9) --

Seek Him First!

Manager's Special, Tutoring, and Helping Out

The weather has been so strange -- hot and cold and cold and hot... Today was half and half! In the morning it was hot and then in the late afternoon, it rained and the temperature dropped!

I had to tutor and I just love what we work on. Analyzing poetry and writing... The time always goes by so fast! I then headed to church... I always enjoy worshipping with our HOP family!

This evening, I worked on editing the dissertation!

Daily Lovely Insight:

We have many reasons to give thanks even when circumstances don't seem to give us any reasons to be grateful! God loves us. God is sovereign. God works things for good even when we don't see anything good! And there has been a lot of good even in this year of 'bads'... God wants us to give thanks in our difficulties so that we can grow and mature in Christ and be used to comfort others. II Cor. 1:3-4 says,

Seek Him First!

Party Day!

Mom went to her massage early with Abby as we had two events today.

First, it was a party with my ex-colleagues from Ming Chuan University. It's always so great to see them! I need to be praying for them as most of them do not know Jesus!

Then we had the Marriage Builders here for dessert and a Thanksgiving activity! What fun!

We had bought desserts and made dips... YUMMY! We were so stuffed!

Daily Lovely Insight:

As I promised... our family verse for 2020-2021 is:

What a wonderful prayer of focus and blessing... That all nations may know God! Starting tomorrow, this will be the first that I will post at the end instead of Proverbs 19:21! Hope you have that verse memorized already!

New Set of Tires!

Our mechanics noticed that our tires needed changing... So we went to Costco this afternoon. Oh my... they were so bare that they were shredding! So, yes, we got four new ones!

While they were working on our car, we walked over to the other shopping area and had lunch. Then we walked around... I was trying to find a suitable place for our upcoming White Elephant Party!

By 4pm, they called and said our car was ready! We quickly got things at Costco, got gas and our car washed! YIPPY!

Mom was home and after she went to bed, I went for a run!

Family Time tonight... We voted! I will share which verse won tomorrow!

May I ask you to please pray for our complex? Things are so chaotic and crazy! We've lived here for over 17 years and we have never seen such insanity between the members of the board. The chair person of the board, in the name of the complex, wants to sue another board member for taking three pieces of papers from the bulletin board! She gave it back on Wednesday night, but he wants to accuse her of 'stealing public property'! How insane is that! Please pray!

Daily Lovely Insight:

When the Bible says, God is my portion, it means God is my inheritance. God is all I need. The Levi tribe received cities but were not landowners, because God is their inheritance. The idea is that if God is our portion, then we have all we need! He is our all-sufficiency! I need to take a hold of that with all that's happening around me! Perhaps this will also encourage you!

Updating the Computer -- HAZARD!

I had a tremendously busy Wednesday... That evening, I decided to update my computer... When I tried to get into my email or blog, I was locked out of everything! Let me back up and tell you about my day!

The morning was filled with sorting and cleaning... and baking... as I had my Bible study at 1:10 at Soochow University. I thoroughly enjoy this group of students!

After the study, I rushed over to have afternoon tea with Isaiah and Alan and two friends, celebrating Isaiah's birthday! It's the same place we went for Abby! I just love the food! At 4:30, Isaiah had to leave as he had a basketball game at Soochow. I left at 5:10 as I was speaking at the Soochow Fellowship. I also invited four friends... one from Mongolia, one from Germany and one from Pakistan and one from Taiwan. They all came. Isaiah arrived just in time! I shared my testimony. Please pray that God would speak to all who were there!

Isaiah left early as he wanted to go home to take a shower. I got home at 8:30 and had to rush to join the Complex Meeting! What an ordeal! Very intense and very tense! By 10:30, they were still going at it! I came up at 11pm.

So... At 8:30, when I got back, I decided to hit "Update and Restart" on my computer, thinking it would be finished by the time the meeting finished. When I came back, it was still only 25% done! Hence, I didn't blog yesterday.

This morning (Thursday) at around 11am when I turned on our WiFi and tried to download my email or get on to blog... I was 'locked out'. I just figured out how to get back in order to blog. I will have to wait until Alan comes back to get into my email account!

Today was hot... I went for a run in the heat!  And then I tutored all afternoon. At least I won't have to go tutor this evening! I ran errands in the morning... but I didn't have time to drop off more donations! I will have to do that tomorrow when we take the car in to change all the tires!

Daily Lovely Insight:

I've decided -- Lamentations 3:21-25! My focus for 2021! God's mercy, God's compassion, God's faithfulness! I want to know what it means that the LORD is my portion! I hope in Him. I wait for Him. I seek Him.

Seek Him First!

Another Day of Catching Up!

I just never understand how the day can fly by so quickly! I had intended this day to be spent reading 'leisure' books, but I spent the day sorting and helping out others!

Isaiah had a paper for me to edit.

A friend from church had a video that she needed help with the English proofreading.

Alan had the 2021 HOP schedule, which I redid and sent out. We are beginning to look ahead to decide on monthly theme or speakers to invite!

I then went through our bedding cabinets to sort out what we have and donate unused items. We have people in the Philippines who have suffered earthquakes and floods in need to beddings and whatever we can box together and ship off to them! I hope to order and pay for the boxes next week!

Then my editing job had two items in need of my 'expertise'. I enjoy this immensely! I love the challenge of making press releases sound better, more precise!

Alan had his evening Speech class. Isaiah was home and Abby went to a basketball game!

Daily Lovely Insight:

This is another one of the verses that I'm contemplating for 2021!

Interesting God-led Day!

I put a load in this morning and as soon as Mom was off to the Center, I started cleaning house. I didn't have time during the weekend! It felt good to get things sorted! After lunch, I went and ran errands -- dropped off clothing donation items, met up with Stephanie, withdrew money and made several monetary donations. I then went straight to my tutoring job! We finished early and I headed back home. It was good to get home as I had to treat Mom's clothes.

After I finished that up, I headed to my tap dancing class, which I always enjoyed!

Two interesting things happened today.

I went for a run around lunch time and on the way back, one of the usual runners that I've seen several times, stopped me and said, "There is a girl over there, crying pretty badly. I didn't want to approach her since I'm a guy. Could you stop to see if she's ok?" Of course, I would! So, I went up to her and her eyes were red from crying. I asked her if she was ok and if she would let me pray with her. She looked at me and said, "I'm a Christian." And so, we sat there and prayed. It was a God-led appointment. I gave her my LINE and we are now in touch with each other.

Another thing that happened was the editing company needed my help! It worked out just as I got back. So, I was able to make a little bit of money before I went to run errands!

Daily Lovely Insight:

I'm asking the LORD to give me the passage of focus for next year and this is one of them... I will decide by tomorrow... so I will share the other two in these next two days and let you know which one is the one that I have chosen!

Seek Him First!

Gorgeous Weather!

It was a perfect fall day in terms of weather!

I went and bought lots of Manager's Special and got back to help with Mom. While she ate, Abby and I went through her closets. It was a major productive task! We had to do a major switch with her winter and summer clothes! Plus, we wanted to donate things as we are getting lots of requests for donations to the Philippines!

Abby led worship today and she did a fantastic job!

When we got back, Mom went to bed and I started sorting through our study. It's time for me to switch Bible and look for another devotional and reading schedule!

Isaiah tutored and Alan watched TV. Abby had to finish an assignment!

Daily Lovely Insight:

We continued our series on Dare to See and tonight the speaker talked about having visions to see like Ezekiel! And God gives visions to those who are humble. God speaks to let His people know what He is doing or about to do in order for us to join Him in his works. We need to be aware and in tune! The hand of the LORD wants to be upon His people now as He was in the days of Ezekiel!

A Smooth Day...

Alan was up early to join a clay tennis competition. Isaiah was up to go to his basketball practice and then he went to spend the day with Vikki with a scrumptious afternoon tea plus going to see the Christmas display! Abby served at the Children's English Camp. She led one of the games! She was back by 1pm.

I spent the morning with Mom. She showered and had breakfast. Then I got her to cut her nails and I had to clean her ears. What a major task that was! We both took a nap before her massage, which she always enjoys! Alan picked her up and went to check our tires. We have to get them changed. I went for a run -- my usual 10kms.

When I got back, Mom was watching Little House! She had dinner and then went to bed!

Alan and I had a nice evening!

Daily Lovely Insight:

Ephesians 1:3 & James 1:2 -- two more that didn't make the short list for our family 2021 verse!

New Goals & New Verses

This morning after Mom left, Alan and I had our 'date' and we started looking at last year and this year. We try to do this every November... always around the middle of the month! Last year was 11/15. We set about 7 goals and as we looked back, we were quite surprised to recount all that the LORD did earlier this year! Our ski trip, Annie and KR's visit plus my quick trip to the States for Kayla's wedding and Annie's birthday. In fact, Alan said, "You've been to the States more than I did this year." Three days more!

We then went out to lunch... what a splendid lunch we had. First we went and bought bubble milk tea. Then we went and bought dumplings for dinner and had sandwiches for lunch! We got back home and I took a quick nap. Abby was home, and I took off for a short run... just 10kms... but it took 70 minutes!

We had our family time tonight and it's our annual review! We decide on the new verses and talk about any issues and look ahead as well as look back! I will take next Tuesday and Wednesday to go over my goals and decide on my new verse and focus!

Daily Lovely Insight:

We had so many excellent verses to choose from after each of us gave our suggestions. I'll share the two that we did not choose! Psalm 86:11 & I Cor. 16: 13-14... I pray that you will meditate on these verses!

Another Productive Day!

I always have a daily to-do list next to my lap top. After the kids left for school, I went to the local traditional market in search of fruit and vegetarian tofu items. I found both... YUMMY!

I came home and put everything away and had a splendid lunch! I fixed Mom's dinner and took a quick nap as tutoring started at 1:30, going straight to 5pm! Isaiah was back by 5pm and Mom was home by 5:10!

I made mashed potatoes, veggies and fish sticks for her! She always enjoys her meals. And I am happy to report that she did not do the flushing the toilet and turning on and off the lights for two nights now! Praise the LORD! After dinner, I made her take another shower! It really seems to help her stay asleep, even though she got up at least five times to go to the bathroom!

I worked on catching up on my reading this evening. I would just love a day when I can sit and read uninterrupted!

Daily Lovely Insight:

I continue to pray for America and this verse just spoke to me.
God is gracious.
God is righteous.
God is full of compassion.
He indeed is merciful!

Seek Him First!

11/11 Shopping Day

Isaiah and Abby were trying to 'grab' an iPhone 12 for about 370US$. NO WAY! I don't think it was possible. In less than 30 seconds, it said, "Sold Out". I truly wondered if it was a scam!

Anyhow, we tried!

I then went on line to see all the products that they had for sale... Very alluring!

I did buy some household products from Carrefour!

And then at around 2:30, I messaged my tutee and she said no need for tutoring tonight! Since the weather was great, I decided to go for a long run -- 3 hours! I had not gone for such a long run in such a long time. It was a good run, but I didn't hit my goal. I did a little over 15 miles but I was aiming for 17 miles! When I came back, I had messages from different people. My tutee asked me to help her and my editing job had something that also needed my help. So, I sat down and edited. Then I took a quick shower and went to tutor! We worked on Poetry and it was so much fun!

I came back and Alan was watching TV. The house needed tidying up! And Isaiah had a paper that he wanted me to help him with!

What a busy night!

Daily Lovely Insight:

I spent an hour this morning reading. One quote was really insightful: real humility means to rest! This is what the author explained: Do you know where constant worry comes from? It's rooted in an arrogance that assumes, I know the way my life has to go, and God's not getting it right. I must agree. I need more humility!

Two Bible Studies... and Tutoring... Kids at Home!

The morning started early... Mom has started two more bad habits -- flushing toilets and washing hands and playing with the light switch! When she left, Alan and I tried to fix up a way to keep her from playing with the lights. We finally decided we will just have to remove the lightbulbs. She has her night light and the small lamp in her room. So, this is just a new 'phrase' which might be gone in a week. We will see!

I had Bible study this morning. We talked about the Self-Absorbed Tongue. I returned home and both kids were around. Isaiah finished his midterm in the morning and Abby didn't have class this morning. She only needed to go at 3pm. And no practice tonight!

I rushed off to tutor and this child is improving nicely!

I rushed home and it was so cold... I decided not to stop off to clean our neighborhood!

This evening, I had my Bible study as we cancelled last week!

Daily Lovely Insight:

In times like 2021, Col. 3:2 speaks to my heart:

Seek Him First!

Monday, November 9, 2020

Very Cool Day!

The temperature dropped...

I cleaned both bathroom cabinets and wiped everything down! That was a major tasks... I also cleaned out Abby's make up cabinet as she was trying to find a couple of things. She thought she ran out of deodorant but we had bought some. They were in the back of her cabinets!

I then went for a run before a friend came over. It was nice to hang out and talk.

Mom was back and so was Isaiah. He finished his midterm early!

Alan was home just around 6pm. After Mom went to bed, I headed out for my tap dancing! I haven't improved too much as I have not had time to practice. Perhaps I should also look at some YouTube tap dancing videos.

I did not have time to help clean the neighborhood... I will do that hopefully on Wednesday!

Daily Lovely Insight:

Ezekiel 18:32 spoke to me today:

Seek Him First!

Nice Hair Conditioning!

Mom was up... and while she was having breakfast, I did another load of clothes and went through the bathroom cabinets!

Then Abby and I took off for our hair conditioning appointment. What a difference!

I stopped at Carrefour and bought tons of manager's special items. My arms felt as if they were going to fall off carrying all that I bought!

I barely had time to put things away and we were out the door for church. It started sprinkling!

This week's speaker: Dare to Thrive, Not Just Survive! Scriptural Passage: Eph. 6: 10-23!

Daily Lovely Special:

I can't describe how heavy my heart is regarding this recent election in the US. I must hold on to the truth that God is in control and He transforms all things according to His perfect will, even when things look bad! And when I don't understand, I will press on in prayer! I must see life through His eyes and praise Him. It just saddens me to see the moral decline not only in the States, but here in Taiwan and globally!

Seek Him First!

A Nice Saturday!

First of all, I am still praying for the election. If there is fraud and corruption already, I do not want to see what happens if the party gets elected as president!

On to better news... I reached my running goal for this week -- I wanted to hit 36 miles, running 6 miles a day, for 6 consecutive days! And I hit 37.03 miles! YIPPY! It wasn't easy... but I'm thrilled. Next week's goal -- a three hour run! And those are my goals for this month! Next month... One 4-hr run!

Mom enjoyed her massage!

Isaiah had a friendship match with the Taipei American School team and then went out to lunch with everyone.

Abby went to a basketball game, which was pretty much sold out!

Daily Lovely Insight:

I've been praying for the theme verse for 2021 and this was even before the 2020 US Election. All the verses had to do with righteousness, justice and hope. Now I see why! I will decide by 11/17, and until then, I continue to pray and set my eyes on Jesus!

Seek Him First!

Time with Abby

Today was very calm... even in the midst of all the chaos in the States.

I did a load of laundry and prayed with a sister in the States. Then I went to run errands and for a run... After a quick shower, I rested as we were heading out afternoon tea with Abby at 2:30.

I bought coupons for Okura Prestige Hotel. It was fabulous. Very beautifully prepared and displayed and tasty!

Alan and Abby went home to care for Mom and I headed off to tutor!

On the way back, I noticed that my scooter needed a tune up, so I headed to our mechanics. Got that done and headed home.

Tonight we had family time!

Daily Lovely Insight:

I listened to a couple of interesting 'prophetic messages' about the current situation in the States. One was liken it to Esther and the need to fast and pray so that "Haman's Plot" will be revealed and overturned. Another was about how there is a need for continual prayer as God's people focus on trusting God through this time. A friend sent these to me. No matter what is happening around us, I think we always should be in prayer and setting our eyes on Jesus! He indeed is King of kings and Lord of lords!

Three Tutoring Sessions in One Day!

I started tutoring at 9:00 and had my last tutoring session from 7:30-9pm! Two tutoring sessions were at home. And then at 6:45, I had to ride out to Beitou! In between the tutoring, I went for a run, made dinner, cleaned house and and prepped my Bible study! Very productive.

I continue to pray for the United States as election results are not out and there are too many irregularities! Michigan web site said Trump won that state but the announcement said Biden won! I think this is going to drag on. Hence, I will continue to pray!

Daily Lovely Insight:

May this verse bring HOPE in the midst of all your circumstances!

This is the month of November and instead of focusing on things of despair and discouragement, God calls us to pray and to give thanks!
