These Past Few Days

Isaiah and I arrived safely and the flight was so fast! I guess it's been a while since I've flown DIRECT!

We had two meals served and I watched 43, the story of Jackie Robinson! I tried to sleep and the next thing I knew, we were landing in Los Angeles!

My brothers were already in LA. It was so nice to hang out with my siblings. Isaiah stayed over at my sister's while I started the "usual" over at my mom's. There was a lot to be done! All our helpers also quit as they found better full time jobs! So, I was on duty 24/7. It worked out well as I could clean and organize while helping to keep my mom from continuing her bad habits!

On Saturday, June 10th, we had a big luncheon with about 30 people. That evening many of those from the luncheon went to King's Harbor, the church where Annie and KR attend. At the end of the service, my sister, Annie, got BAPTIZED!!!!!!! I was jumping up and down and hollering 'praise the Lord' like a crazy woman. I know there were angels all around doing the same thing! It was so amazing! That evening my brother, Eddie, headed out to the airport as he was returning to Australia. Two days later, my brother, James, went back to Vietnam.

After the big celebration, what else have I been doing?

I went to watch the movie, Wonder Woman. That was great.

I took Isaiah shopping at Salvation Army's 40% off sale one Saturday.

Other than that, I've just been helping out at my elderly parents' house, which has been great, as I have things so organized now!

I have time to blog now as I'm down in San Diego for a few days! I hope to get more sleep and maybe go for a few runs!  I'm heading back up to LA on June 30th and will have to pack up before I head back on July 6th!

I realize that I won't even be able to wish Alan a Happy Birthday as I'll be in the air, going through the dateline! But at least we'll be able to have a meal together at the airport!

Last Minute Things

I tried to get so many 'last minute things' done today...

Paying all bills and even paying for next month's bills as I won't be back until July 8th.

Since we had so much leftovers from our Love Feast last night, I decided to change it up a bit and made 'new' things from the leftovers. I also cleaned out the frig!

Buying a few more boxes of snacks so that Alan can take them. But I didn't have time to go and shop for my sister's shorts!

Attending Bible study and helping to translate.

Tutoring one more session... hopefully, it helped her to prepare for her final exams which are not for three weeks!

Repacking all the items to shift the weight around. Yes, all boxes and luggage and carry-ons are done!

Handling church matters... to make sure things are ordered and set for the next few weeks...

Renewing library books, dropping donations off, getting the car tuned up (yes, it's true!)...

I'm so ready for bed. I need to take a shower and close my eyes... I had only 3 hours of sleep last night! And I hope to get at least four hours of sleep tonight!

Oh... once I'm in the States, my blogging will be very limited... You all know why!!!!!!!

No Time to Post!

Yes, I didn't post yesterday... It was a great day... packing, packing, packing... BUT... right around 12noon, it started raining and I decided to take a break... IN ORDER TO GO OUT FOR A RUN IN MY FAVORITE WEATHER!

Abby had school all day...

Isaiah had a free day... So, he was a big help as I needed to weigh and reweigh each piece. It's such an art!

We had a relaxing evening...

Now, this morning, I had to go and tutor...

And then church... I had to translate and fix the food. We had ordered a sheet cake to celebrate Isaiah's graduation. The cake was from Costco and it was so delicious!

We had lots of leftover, so Alan and Abby will have plenty of food this week, especially since Isaiah and I will be gone. Alan also went and bought a few essentials at Costco when he went to pick up the cake. Beef bakes, fish sticks... ha, ha, ha...

We got back home at around 8:15 as I had to make sure things were set for when I'm gone! So, it took a bit longer to clean up this evening.

Yes, I have lots to do tomorrow...

Including... having to check that all my bags are properly packed and maxed out at 23 kilos... ha, ha, ha...

A Very Special Day

It was a very special day!  I wish I could just show you a few pictures to help you understand...

The city of Taipei was flooded as we had about three hours of heavy down pour.

We had Isaiah's graduation in the afternoon.

And Isaiah and I had to go early... Alan and Rex and Peilun and their family came later.

What a wonderful afternoon... The graduation was very special. Isaiah got second in his class and went up to receive the award!

We all went to Friday's for dinner!

It was a very special day!

Going, Going, Going...

Those three words would describe my day...

With only a few days left before going to the States, I wanted to meet up with different people. Duncan and Lily are here from Scotland... and the kids I tutor wanted extra sessions.

By God's grace, I got to every place on time and safely.

This evening, our dear friends, Rex and Peilun and their three kids, came to stay overnight in order to attend Isaiah's graduation tomorrow.

What a fun -- going, going, going -- day!
