My Last Post!

Well... we have had a busy day and I have had very little sleep!

Alan said he wasn't going to watch the game but we stayed home until they started the overtime... This was the New England and Kansas City game... So, that meant we had a late start...

We decided to take Annie and Kart to the Cat Village and then off to ShrFen where Wish Lanterns are flown off... We had our lunch there and headed back to Taipei... but not in time for the kids' dental appointment.

We had many errands to run... so off we went to get a few things done before we let Annie and KR take a quick nap.

Abby went off to teach and we went to the Shihlin Night Market! We did not have a sit down dinner but went from stall to stall... Fabulous!

The new thing -- stinky tofu served as French Fries... I bought a cup for Abby!

Annie and KR went to meet Abby's students and we drove Vikki home.

We did not get home until 10pm.

Annie and KR were exhausted and went over to Ariel's while we stayed up to watch another Mission Impossible movie and pack, print out luggage tags... I have a lot to do today... But I think I only had three hours of sleep...

We plan another full day of activities... Plus we need to go shopping for a few things!

The van will pick us up at 6:30 to take us to the Taoyuan International Airport!  We will arrive in Singapore at 3am... Hopefully two people will get lounge privilege... and the rest will find a place to sleep until we head out at around 9am for the dock. Boarding for the cruise starts at 12:30!

I'm not sure about Singapore... maybe there will be free wifi access... But for sure, we won't have wifi on the cruise...

So... until our return...

Did I Really Miss A Day?

I don't know how that happened...

It was supposed to be a relaxing day... but Saturday turned out to be quite busy. I wasn't packing for our cruise... We decided to go out to a friend's restaurant... and next to the restaurant was a temporary outlet for running shoes... So... I actually bought two pairs of running shoes... they were only 40US$ each... regularly these would be 120US$ each!

Then this morning, Alan and I were up at 4:30am and we went to bed at 1am... He drove to pick up KR and Annie... and I had my time with Jesus...

They were feeling pretty energetic so they went on a hike... and visited Abby's cram school... and biked back to our place...

We went out to lunch and I had booked a massage for them... NICE...

Church was at 4pm and by 6:30, they were fading fast... So, we were home by 7pm. They took a shower and went over to Ariel's house... Hopefully they won't get up at 4am...

We spent the rest of the evening packing... as we are very limited on what we can carry. I only paid for two - 25 kilos luggage for the five of us... We each will get one carry one -- 7kilos! I thought that would be more than enough.

We are planning to be out all day tomorrow... and once the cruise starts, I won't be blogging... I might not even have time tomorrow to blog...

Spa Time with Abby

Finally, Abby made it for spa time...

I've been trying to get her to have a relaxing massage for months...

She couldn't really enjoy it as she was in a rush to meet up with friends for lunch and then she had work...

I enjoyed it... It was way too short... even though it was 90 minutes!

Mom was at her church program and Alan picked her up!

We are counting down to Annie and KR's arrival...

A Busy Thursday!

The day turned into a much busier day that I expected...

Alan and Abby went out for basketball practice...

Because of the complex meeting this evening, I had to make a few phone calls about other management companies...

Then we met up with old friends who are here from Canada!

Mom had her massage appointment at 2pm. Abby had her work at 1pm. Isaiah was meeting up with Vikki again!

We dropped Mom off and stopped at a place that does engraving for Chinese chops. I needed to get one done for a dear friend... Her daughter's birthday is coming up and she wanted to give her a Chinese chop!

We came home and Alan took a nap while I went for a quick run. He was nice enough to go and pick Mom up while I got ready for tutoring. He had basketball at 5pm.

Tonight was the complex meeting and it was a LONG one...

One other tidbit of information... Isaiah got an 80 for Calculus! That was one of the most difficult classes this semester!

Temperature Dropped!

Oh no... it rained and the temperature dropped... I am hoping for nicer weather as Annie and KR are arriving on Sunday!

It really was quite chilly today...

I took Mom to the supermarket today as I decided NOT to go to the Wednesday program that's difficult to find parking... especially with the rain...

In the evening, after counseling, Isaiah asked me to cut his hair... so I did... I like how it turned out!

Father - Daughter Date

Alan decided to take Abby out on a date...

They went to the batting cage... the arcade... the bowling alley... and then to eat at the giant burger place.

Mom had her program this morning... and she really enjoyed it.

I had my Bible study group.

Isaiah was out with Vikki all day.

The weather turned cold this evening...

Alan's Preaching...

It was a busy Sunday... as usual!

In the morning, I changed Mom's bedding and did a load of clothes and put away what was already on the line... and then Abby started cleaning her room and I got started on the living room magazines! I also cut Alan and Mom's hair and had to sweep and mop after I was done! Both hair cuts turned out nicely... I still need to cut Isaiah's... We were going to do it tonight... but read on!

I had to tutor at 2:30 and Alan preached at HOP on Equipped! I read through his talk and edited it for him... Abby said it was one of his best talks!

We had Love Feast at church and the food was fabulous!

After we got back, we watched the movie, Venom! The creature looked so weird and scary... but I actually liked how it bonded with Eddie... Oh... Last night we watched Mission Impossible, Fallout. That was really interesting, too! I told the kids they should watch one of the old Mission Impossible TV shows! After the movie was finished, I was too tired to cut Isaiah's hair... We will have to do that later on this week!

Alan and the kids are going to get up at 2am to watch the Chargers' game... I might have to drive out to the airport to hand off a bag of things for a friend... Still praying! I don't like to drive!

Home of God's Love

This morning we left to drive to Ilan to attend the 50th Anniversary of the ministry that Ted and Bev Skiles have had in Taiwan. In fact, the Taiwan government granted them 'citizenship' for their service to the orphans on this island.

They arrived on January 14th... 1969... sailing across the Pacific Ocean!

I just cried during the whole service... The kids from the orphanage performed songs and dances... They have helped over 1000 kids... many of them were back to celebrate this special occasion.

We have supported their ministry for many years... even before Isaiah and Abby's younger sister was at Home of God's Love before being adopted to an American family... We used to go and drop off donations of clothing items and toys...

It was just a very special time to be there!
