Hotter & Faster!

I was up and moving early...

Doing laundry, tidying up, cooking...

After Mom left, I went and ran errands, paid bills, and bought groceries before I had to tutor!

On the way back, I picked up Abby's scooter, leaving my scooter down by the MRT station and came back home.

Alan and I took her scooter to have lunch and go shop for gifts as there are two young men getting baptized tomorrow!

We went to two different stores before we got all that we wanted!

It was time to head back home.

Alan dropped me off at the MRT station and I picked up my scooter. I had to drop off a book for one of my students and get gas.

When I got back home, there was a message from our scooter repair guy. He has a 100cc for sale -- about 500US$. I will have to head over there this weekend to take a look!

Soon, Mom was back! Alan headed out to help Abby take down and cart back all the stuff from camp. I got busy with dinner prep as Alpha and Alice came over!

Isaiah went out to dinner with some of the interns as only three of them will stay for another month!

It was so hot today... burning, sizzling, hot, hot, hot... Not a cloud in the sky and just blaring heat!

So, yes, I turned on the AC!

Daily Lovely Insight:

Pursue Peace | Daily Scriptures and Good Thoughts
Pursue... to follow or chase, to continue, to proceed... It's an active verb. We are called to purse things which make for peace... What are things that make for peace? A complaining spirit does not make for peace. A discontented spirit does not make for peace. A victim mentality does not make for peace. A haughty spirit does not make for peace.... So, today, what have I pursued? The next part of the verse tells us to pursue things that build up one another! Encouraging words, kind actions... those build up others. It's always good to reflect upon God's words and let His light shine upon our daily actions, thoughts and words...

Double Tutoring Sessions...

The weather was hot... but it was overcast with a slight breeze... So I went for a run... I did go in to the Gym, just to get water and worked on a couple of machines. I didn't have time to do much. And it wasn't crowded! I decided against the Body Balance class after watching a video of what that class is like. Not me! So, I have not tried Body Attack, Body Combat, Body Jam and Body Pump.

In the morning, I had tutoring and we've started the "Chapter Book"... and this afternoon was SAT! In between was the run!

Isaiah was at ORTV and this evening he had tutoring. He was going to play some basketball first, but decided to come home and rest. He's been getting up at 5:45 each morning to head out to driver's ed. He should pass with flying colors!

Abby was in Hsinchu as the kids had a field trip.

Alan had discipleship early this morning and then basketball this evening!

After Mom went to bed, I went and ran a few errands. I bought groceries and made a white sauce as Alpha and Alice will be coming over tomorrow. I also paid a few bills and called our motorcycle repair guy. I wanted him to keep his eyes out for a good reliable second hand scooter. I think it's almost time to retire Yabadaba Do-Something! (That's the name of my 50cc... and it's like Fred Flintstone's car. You have to put your legs down and peddle to get it going!)

Daily Lovely Insight:

A Lock of Hair (2 Chronicles 16:9) | For You
Can you see the Lord searching the whole earth for people he can strengthen? People whose hearts are fully committed to Him? Fully dedicated to Him? Fully... Letting nothing distract them from that single focus... I want the Lord to see me and my heart... and to fill me with the fullness of His strength!

Yes, Speedy Super Fast Day!

Tutoring this morning... and it's a new student... he's only 2-years old! STILL IN A DIAPER!

It was only a 60 minute class, but I ended up being there for 90 minutes!

I rode home and since my body is feeling kind of sore... too much weight lifting... I decided to go to a dance class... but in the afternoon, friends dropped by. So that went out the window. But then I'm glad I didn't go... I was going to try "GROOVE"... and I went on YouTube and checked it out... Uh... NOT ME! It's like hip hop dance moves... I would throw my back out, trying... attempting... one of the moves.

I made dinner... and Mom was home.

We had counseling this evening... It was a very intense session!

Working Out at the Gym!

Today I had morning tutoring.

After coming home and changing clothes, I was out the door to try to catch the 12:10 "Blast" class. I got there at 12:15 and it was a step class... Not bad... Good workout!

I then did a little bit of weights, waiting for the rain. The clouds came, but the rain didn't. So I ended up doing a treadmill run plus a walk on the highest incline. I found that you can watch TV and hit the virtual scenes and the screen has a scenic spot. It looks like you're running there... Very nice!

I got back home and got dinner ready and made some jello drinks for the kids! Of course, I also had some! Very refreshing!

Hopped into the shower... had a power nap and Mom was home!

I'm always amazed how fast the day flies by!

This evening I had my ladies Bible study group and Alan had his overseers meeting!

Isaiah had on line tutoring and Abby was home to prep for her last few days of camp!

Daily Lovely Insight:

Bible: Nehemiah
Sometimes when anxieties try to creep up on me, I love the verses from Nehemiah 9: 5-6. He gave life to everything and He is in control. My life is in His hands... And that includes all my concerns and worries... Praise the name of the LORD!

Disappointing Stretch Class... But A Fun Run In The Rain!

I tutored this morning...

Then I worked on prepping for my evening class.

After lunch, I rested before heading to a stretch class at 1:20. I would not go again. It was very choppy... Not really a stretch class... not really a workout... not really anything... It was pieces of this and that...I am going to try a different class each day... Next Monday I might try the "Fight" class...

I did use a couple of machines... and when the skies turned dark, the rain came, and I went out for my run...

I got home and took a quick shower.

Dinner prep for Mom...

I had NSB this evening... I really am enjoying the class with only five students...

I had to do a load of laundry... This will be the last week as Abby's camp/VBS will be finished by Friday!

Isaiah had tutoring...
