Ministry of Touch

Tonight we had our monthly Couples Only Core and the focus was how Jesus ministered as He healed others through touching them. He could have chosen NOT to touch, but with these individuals, He touched them.  How beautiful the thought of Jesus touching these people. His touch not only healed them physically, but healed them and made them whole.

Here are some of the verses and I hope you'll take the time to read through them and let the Holy Spirit speak --
A man with leprosy in a city in Galilee
Mat 8:2  And a leper came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."
Mat 8:3  Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Peter’s mother in law in Capernaum
Mat 8:14  When Jesus came into Peter's home, He saw his mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever.
Mat 8:15  He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she got up and waited on Him.
Many people in a crowd in Capernaum
Luk 4:40  While the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them.
A 12 year old girl in Capernaum

Mar 6:5  And He could do no miracle there except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.
A man who was deaf and could hardly talk in the Decapolis
Mar 7:32  They *brought to Him one who was deaf and spoke with difficulty, and they *implored Him to lay His hand on him.
Mar 7:33  Jesus took him aside from the crowd, by himself, and put His fingers into his ears, and after spitting, He touched his tongue with the saliva;
Mar 7:34  and looking up to heaven with a deep sigh, He *said to him, "Ephphatha!" that is, "Be opened!"
Mar 7:35  And his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was removed, and he began speaking plainly.
A blind man just outside Bethsaida
Mar 8:22  And they *came to Bethsaida. And they *brought a blind man to Jesus and *implored Him to touch him.
Mar 8:23  Taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting on his eyes and laying His hands on him, He asked him, "Do you see anything?"
Mar 8:24  And he looked up and said, "I see men, for I see them like trees, walking around."
Mar 8:25  Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly.
In a synagogue, a woman who could not stand straight
Luk 13:11  And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent double, and could not straighten up at all.
Luk 13:12  When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, "Woman, you are freed from your sickness."
Luk 13:13  And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she was made erect again and began glorifying God.
