The Truth about Truth

We had our Bible study last night and it focused on Samson and how he 'desecrated' his anointing and calling.  It was a reminder that we need to be aware of the 'Samson' in ourselves.  Do we have a spirit of humidity? Or are we showing no reverence towards God's Truth? Thus, people can memorize, or read, or study God's truth and still are never changed or transformed by it. Why?  Because to them, it's only head knowledge. When asked to make a choice of obedience, they decide not to follow. They decide that they know better and since their disobedience brought about no 'lightning' striking them dead, they can continue to live as they please. They take for granted God's mercy, grace and patience. That was Samson's life. His birth was special. His death was special. But what did he do between his birth and his death?

That's the question for each of us.

It was a great reminder.
