The School System

Some of you have been asking about Isaiah's senior high school life. This is what it is looking like.

He will go to Nanhu Senior High School Monday to Saturday because he is in the PE class.  At least he will not have to board at school. The basketball team requires all students to board at school going home only Saturday night and Sunday.

He will attend class from 7:30-12 noon. Have lunch and practice starts at 2 and goes until 6p.m.

Two nights a week, he will have to take the MRT to his cram school which will go from 6:30 to 10p.m. Yes, he will have to be at a cram school two nights a week plus Saturday afternoon from 1:30-5p.m.

On Saturday morning, he has practice at school from 8-11:30.

He will most likely go to a youth group on Saturday night from 7-9:30.

Sunday we have our service from 2:30-6p.m. and on two Sundays a month, we stay for dinner at church.

When will he even have time to eat or do his homework?  He will have breakfast at home, lunch at school and dinner out for those two nights of cram school.  He will do his homework from 10:30 to 12 and hit the sack in exhaustion.  He has to be up by 6:00, have his devotion, and leave at 6:30 to take the MRT to school.

Now, in case, you think we are really pushing him with this kind of schedule, I just want to say that most other students go to cram school EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK as the students take extra classes in ALL subjects. We want to have time with Isaiah so we're only asking him to take classes in three subjects. Yes, this is Asia. And this is the typical life of students in high school.

This might express Isaiah's feeling after he starts his high school life --

Seek Him First!
