We went and signed the papers this afternoon and put down 10,000NT$. We will transfer the rest on Wednesday morning and go and pick up the car on Wednesday afternoon.
It is the most expensive car we've purchased thus far.
We started with buying a Red Ford Festiva for 50,000NT$ when we first came to Taiwan. We named that car, By Faith.
Our second car was a white Mitshubishi Libero, (which we named Rainbow). We bought it from a car rental place for 270,000NT$.
Our third car was Lightning, a blue Nissan Livina. We bought it NEW for 489,000NT$.
And now we've purchased our 4th car! It's the car that Alan wanted to buy three years ago. It has all the extras -- Push Start, Smart Entry, TCR, GPS, etc. Of course, I'm very sad as the car is in a very plain color -- SILVER.
All our cars have been hatchbacks, which we love. This car seems to be bigger, but Alan assures me that it's the same size as the Libero. It is a 7-seater, so that's going to be great when we have friends or family members here. And the back seats can be put down, if we have to move things. That's the part that I like best as I'm always lugging things for donation.
