Laser Tag, Old House, Old School, Tacos, Lanterns & Haircut!

Mom had her Day Care, so that allowed us to roam.

After she took off, I first went and ran errands and then did a quick workout.

Isaiah and Nic came home and we headed out after they finished taking their shower.

We went to Laser Tag as it was a church friend's birthday. Eddie, Nic and Isaiah joined. I walked around, trying to find a new pair of shoes for Mom. I was going to do another run, but it was just too busy. I hit 41.75 kilometers this week, so I'm happy. Four runs! Maybe next week when Eddie and Nic are gone, I can do a 6 run week!

We then headed to see our old house! We found it... still the same!

And we stopped at our old elementary school.

We finally got to the Taco place... and the price was high, the portion small! Oh well... They had vegan stuff!

I sent Isaiah to go with Nic and Eddie while I rushed home after our late lunch. Mom was going to be home. I used the leftover soup from last night and Mom enjoyed her dinner.

Tonight, Eddie had a haircut! And I got to talk to Alan! We also played a few games of mahjong and Nic was the big winner. And we bought some snacks at the Neihu market while Eddie was getting the haircut. What else did we do? Oh... we did a load of wash!

What A Day of Going, Going, Going...

 The day was fast...

Mom went to the Day Care Center and we all took off...

We had shopping on the agenda! After picking up Chinese breakfast!

Then Annie had her facial and she went biking around.

Eddie and Nic went to Costco and other shops and biked down towards the Train Station and then biked back!

I went home and had a run and went to World Gym and came home! After a quick shower, and everyone came home, we headed out to pick up Mom. The Hot Pot place was delicious! And we had the timing just right. God provided parking and safety!

After the dinner, we dropped off Annie and went to pick up Isaiah. We headed back to Miramar. Isaiah had dinner with his other cadets and Eddie and Nic went to look at Uniqlo for pants and suit jacket. Nothing... I picked them up after putting Mom to bed.

We then headed to RT Mart again! We were there this morning and we had picked out frames. After giving them the prescription and paying, we went to RT Mart and found two pairs of pants. They hemmed them for free. Nic and I went to look for a book, while Eddie waited. Then I bought a few food items and we were in the car. Annie was waiting to board and Isaiah had walked back home. Isaiah was in the elevator with us. That's how great the timing was today.

Alan had called while we were out shopping, so I called him back. We had time to pray and talk.

Annie boarded the plane!

Tomorrow will be a lot... I'm trusting God to lead on!

Daily Lovely Insight:

The question Annie asked was: What to do with Mom when she can't go to the Day Care Center? Annie would prefer that we hire someone for Mom. I am trusting the Lord that He knows the answer and has prepared the way!

Scalp Treatment & Oil Massage!

The day always starts early!

I got Mom off and went for a run!

Annie had an oil massage!

Eddie and Nic went to the blind masseuses.

I picked them up and we went to the hair place. That was fantastic!

On the way back, I dropped Eddie and Nic at the shopping mall, but they could not find anything for Eddie.

I then went to the Chinese Dr. and she had her neck adjusted and packets of Chinese herbal medicine!

I came home and Mom was back.

Now she is taking medicine and hopefully her vertigo would go away.

Tomorrow is maybe a hike and a facial treatment for Annie. Mom will be off to the Day Care Center!

I got to talk to Isaiah and I got to talk to Abby and I got to talk to Alan!

Another MOE Day!

I left at 8:15 since Annie was here to walk Mom down... and I got to work by 8:50. It was so fast... what a difference the traffic is in those 15 minutes.

Annie, Eddie and Nic went roaming around on their own... biking to most places and then MRT for Annie and Eddie. I was running around the CKS Memorial or Freedom Square, praying that I'd run into them and I did!

They were going to lunch...

I finished my 10kms and went back to work.

I had one article to edit and another person who came to Office Hour.

Next week, I start my noon time class, so no more running!

I was able to leave at 5pm and stopped at World Gym. I was home by 6:10!

Annie and Eddie did a load of laundry and I did another load later on in the evening. Annie and Eddie were asleep around the same time as Mom.

I had Bible study tonight... and then talked and prayed with Alan. Last night I was so exhausted that we had less than 20 minutes.

And I got to talk to Abby tonight! What a big surprise!

Amazing -- We Got Our Birth Certificates!

Annie walked Mom down to catch the van so that I can take off at 8:10 to the Neihu Housing Office AGAIN!

It was good that I went early as I was trying to get Annie's birth certificate. And while I was there, I thought, "I'll get mine!" Then Eddie texted and said, "Get mine!" and James said, "Get mine, too!" So, the guy was extremely patient and after 2.5 hours, I was in the process of getting all of our birth certificates. James was the tricky one as there were two districts listed. So, I asked him to call me if they locate it.

I had to go to Costco and RTMart: Costco for milk tea packets for Annie to bring back to the States and a cake for the day care center to celebrate Mom's birthday, plus a bag of frozen veggies for Nic as he is a pure vegan. I also went to RTMart to get fruits and more packets of almond milk and sesame paste. My scooter was so packed! I rode very slowly. I dropped off the cake and headed home.

After a quick lunch, I was out for a run and a brief workout. I didn't have time yesterday. And today was so hot!

I got back and the Housing Report called! They found it! Without taking a shower, I headed out. As I was going down the hill, I saw Annie and Eddie walking up! Nic had decided to ride back, while Annie and Eddie took the MRT. They had a fabulous time, except Eddie's knee was hurting! So, we are not sure what they will be able to do tomorrow.

I picked up James' birth certificate and when I got home, the diapers and Annie's Chinese powder had arrived. YEAH! She brought Mom up from the van and we packed up her box. The pineapple cakes have not yet arrived!

And... the news... while I was waiting at the Housing Report this morning, Isaiah called. His next assignment is not out in Matzu or Kinmen! YEAH! It's only in Taoyuan, so he will be able to come home each weekend! Thank you for your prayer support!

I also baked while Mom was eating... I found this very simple cookie recipe! Oatmeal, bananas, chocolate chips, raisins, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix and bake! So, delicious. I will make some for Alan when he is back!

Please pray for our downstair neighbors. They are again complaining: this time to say that we make too much noise! I tried to explain that it can't be us, unless it's just recently, as we have only had Mom and I home. Recently, we have had Annie, Nic and Eddie, as well as Isaiah. But they are mad as hornets as when I tried to ask for further details and explained that no one has been home, she said that we are inconsiderate and putting the burden of the problem on their shoulders. Please pray!

Tonight, I stayed up to talk to and pray with Alan!

Paper WORK Day!

Trying to help Annie get her Taiwan passport was amazing complicated... After calling the Bureau of Consular Affairs, we actually went down there!

There we called someone and a person actually came down. She was tremendously helpful and we were tremendously grateful as we bypassed the four hour line!

We finished there and went to the train station area and that was fun. We had lunch, shopped, and we were planning to bike back. Unfortunately, I only had two Ubikes cards registered. So, I took the MRT home and we all arrived at the same time.

I rushed home, got my ID card, and scootered over to the Neihu Household Registration Office. When I got there, I knew the line was going to be terrible as the scooter and car parking lots were both full! Going up there, I was 509 and there were 132 people in front of me. The announcement was that there were too many people in there. So, if your number is not going to be called for a while, please vacate the premise. I waited for over 90 minutes, and finally got to the window. I got the form, but will have to go back again tomorrow to see about getting Annie's birth certificate from TAICHUNG!

I came home at 5pm, and put Mom's dinner in a bowl and headed to World Gym. I had already bought food for everyone. Nic met me down at a dumpling shop at 5:55 as he did not get enough food! We came home to sing Happy Birthday to Mom! Tomorrow, I will drop off a Costco cake at the Day Care Center after I finish with my attempt to get the birth certificate for Annie. I didn't have time today to even think about celebrating Mom's birthday.

Eddie should be out tomorrow... But I don't know what they will do! I think they should go for a bike ride to Danhsui!

Isaiah called at 7:10 instead of at 6:25 after dinner. His vacation will be starting on Saturday for four days before he has to report to his next 'station'. And he will take the bus home on Saturday morning as I will be getting Mom ready for the Day Care Center. Saturday is a 'make-up work day'. He will call again tomorrow after the 'lottery'.

And for the Chinese New Year "lucky bag", we did not win anything!

I was too tired this evening to stay up to talk to and pray with Alan! Sad... but I needed sleep!

What A Sunday!

Because Isaiah is missing out on gathering as a body of believers for worship, we decided to try another morning service -- THE HOPE. We've heard lots about this church as it has grown so fast. So, we went to the 11:30 service.

After that was finished, we got lunch and came home. Eddie was here... and Nic went for a bike ride! The weather was just perfect. In the morning, I had walked to World Gym and went and bought breakfast for everyone.

At 3:15, we were off again. We dropped Isaiah off at the MRT and headed to House of Praise. It was a smaller congregation, but it was a wonderful service.

We were home by 6:50 and after getting Mom to bed, Nic, Annie and I headed to Shihlin Night Market. Annie was so tired... as she is usually asleep by 7pm, the same time as my Mom. She had a few things to buy and we wanted to try more food. The crowd wasn't too bad.

We were home by 10:15!

I talked and prayed with Alan. And Isaiah had sent a message earlier that he was back at camp by 7:15, and no more cell phone! He will call me tomorrow.

Yes, this week will be interesting. We are still waiting for Eddie to test negative. Nic is free now. My Mom's birthday is tomorrow, but we can't have our birthday dinner. Even if Eddie test negative tomorrow, we have to wait until he gets a second negative on Tuesday. Actually, I think he is free to roam, but not free to see Mom. I should check if the rule has changed.
