A Very Long Friday!

I was up early and knew that today and tomorrow will both be very long days...

I did run... Only 8KM...

And then we went out to meet some friends for lunch... After that we went to the travel exhibition and didn't see much but we bought four breakfast buffet coupons for the Renaissance Hotel. That's only because we've passed by it several times and wonder what it was like inside!

We got home and I put things away and checked the recycling while Alan took a Power Nap. At 4:05, we were off to Danhsui. We got there by 5:05 and I started cleaning... I was finished by 5:58 and Alan, who was napping in the car, drove up and we loaded things into the car and headed to church. We went to pick up the keyboards that we are giving away for the church. The lady is coming to pick them up tomorrow.

We got home at 7:40 and Isaiah came down to help us unload!

We sat down to have dinner and then I worked to sort everything and then had prayer time at 8:45!

By 10pm, I was exhausted but took one load of things to give away and another load to our friend's house next door as we're setting it up for a short term stay in May. I will be gone... so I have to get it done now! And I heard from the Ministry of Education. They liked for me to work two days a week there... but I said, "No thanks... I will only help with one day a week." This is going to start in July! Wow... That was a big surprise!

11pm came all too quickly...

Tomorrow... it's going to be another busy day!!!!!!!!

I Ran Again...

I was up early and decided to go out early... but actually, the weather stayed relatively nice throughout the day... cloudy and cooler!

I was home and after a nice shower, I made rice noodles for my meals... and sat myself down on the sofa with a stack of books and read.

Alan and Isaiah had left for work!

I finished the book Living the Resurrection and started on two more! And yes, I ate my delicious rice noodles for breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack! WOW... fabulous!

At 4pm, I prepped for tutoring and headed out at 5pm.

When that was finished, I was home by 7:30! And yes... more rice noodles!

Alan and Isaiah played basketball!

Abby has recovered... and she attended her second online seminary class... We have yet to set up our Family Time...

I Did Run...

It's already Wednesday... and I am feeling much better.

So, after helping with the recycling, I scooter to the park and ran... My legs were like: What are you doing? They seemed to have forgotten how to run... everything felt very foreign... And it was hot... I ran 8K.

I got home and took a quick shower and headed out to tutor.

When that was finished, I rushed home and picked up everything for my Bible study. We had 10 people... Two kids didn't show up but it is the week before midterms. Next week we will just use the time to chat!

I went straight to my tutoring and when that was finished, I stopped at a convenience store before heading home. I was so glad that I didn't have my 6pm tutoring... I was exhausted!

I had a simple dinner and stayed up until prayer time at 8:45 and then went to bed!

It's Tuesday... And It Was A Busy One...

I was up early... but I didn't go for a run... I am still recovering...

I made the food for the morning Bible study and baked... for tomorrow's Soochow Study!

I decided to go to church early... that worked out well...

I slowly set up and sat down and did a blog for church!

We had five people at the study and it was great... the discussion and the sharing!

We didn't finish until 1:40! I scootered home... put things away and was off again. I had an appointment to counsel someone at 3pm.

The time flew by... and I hope the time was helpful for her...

I scootered home and arrived at 6:45 and got the computer turned on and running... and tutored online until 8:05!

The rest of the evening flew by...

I didn't hit publish as I wanted to update you on the flight situation...

Tonight, I finally decided to take the plunge and call the long distance number via my land line to Florida USA, which is where GOTOGATE seems to be located. It was around 8:30pm Taiwan time... and when our church prayer time started, I was still in the cue to talk to someone. Finally, a real person came on. I moved to the bedroom as Alan was still in the online prayer call... After another 45 minutes, a request was put forth for me to be on a flight from Taipei to Beijing and Beijing to Frankfurt on May 3rd and May 4th, arriving in Frankfurt on the morning of the 4th! That's two days earlier... so... I think the Lord has something planned... of what, I do not yet know... What will I do? Where will I stay? Those are all questions... but I'll be in Germany... I am thrilled... I will roam... and see what the Lord has prepared... I will start looking for lodging... but anything will be fine with me!

It's Monday... Already!

I was up and knew I wasn't going to go run today! I was still 'recovering' from the herniated disc!

At 10am, I left to meet up with my once a month Monday morning prayer time... I left early since I knew it would take longer...

Again, she had a huge spread of delicious food and we talked. I had to set the alarm as I had tutoring at 2pm.

I got to tutoring in time by taking the MRT all the way to tutor... And then I rode a bike and walked... It was nice... and it was hot. I was able to shop along the way.

I got home at 4pm and posted things to give away!

It was a nice free evening!

Oh... Abby finished her run! She thinks she made it before the cut off time of six hours!

And still no news about my flight to Germany!

Abby's Run & Sunday Fun/Pain

I was up and had a time with Jesus... I had herniated my back yesterday while doing the recycling for our complex, so moving was difficult. I am praying for healing. I also have a patch on right now.

I rested and then headed out to the Young Adults Fellowship. It was only Isaiah and I. We discussed the Purpose Driven Life, Chapter 13-14.

Then I went for a 90 minute massage. It helped, but the disc is still herniated!

I walked slowly back to church and I had already set up the Love Cafe before going for the massage. YEAH! That was perfect as we had counseling with a gal who is struggling with a sense of love, belongingness and acceptance! The hour flew by!

Church was great... The message was from I Peter 1:1-9! How trials and suffering purify our faith and firm up our relationship with Jesus!

I helped to clean up and started to talk to a sister who is struggling with her relationship with God.

I got home and Isaiah left to pick Fenny up at the train station as she got back from Kaohsiung.

I had prayer time at 9pm and blogged and received a message from Abby. She had finished half of the full... GO ABBY GO!

Happy 39th!

I was up but not early... So... the run was not a pleasant one... but I did it!

After a shower, I decided to work on my talk...

Alan and Isaiah went to play tennis and got back at around 11am. At 11:45, Alan and I left for our luncheon at a new restaurant, Poetry! Our friends took us out for our anniversary and the food was fabulous and expensive! We would not have gone there... I think the tab was well over 6,000NT$! And we didn't even order a lot...  We sat and chatted until 3pm!

When we got home, we were all ready for a nap... but first I made tamale filling and Mexican chicken. Both came out fabulously delicious! I layered the tamale filling and the Mexican chicken and cheese... WOW!

We were all feeling lethargic so we didn't meet up with our friends from the UK until 8pm at NingXia Night Market, one of Alan's favorites as it has fried oysters egg pancakes! Our friends are leaving tomorrow... and it was fun to hang out with them. The night market was crowded as it was a nice evening... a bit warm... but still.

I am still trying to communicate with GOTOGATE... Please pray! God is going to work something out... I am trusting Him to do the impossible. They gave me a new itinerary but I won't be getting to Frankfurt until May 8th!
