A Different PR Day!

I was up and I knew it would be a different kind of Personal Retreat Day as Abby is here...

We went out for a run after she went through the last of the clothing items that I had gotten for her! And her first suitcase is completely filled! We might be able to put a few books in there to get the weight up to 23kilos.

I had made a massage appointment, so she went off to that after our lunch. I took a nap... and then packed things that we were going to sell to the second hand store... But she got back and went for a nap... I scootered over to the library and picked up Isaiah's book and bought more coffee packets. I then made a few more videos for people who wanted to go see our friend's house next door.

Abby napped until 6:30 when she went to play basketball at Soochow University with Alan and Isaiah. I had the house to myself...

I packed my stuff for our overnight family trip... and organized the room, posting things that Abby did not want and the box for the Philippines arrives tomorrow and we will pack that up next week!

Prayer time at 8:45!

And everyone came home for dinner!

Fun Wednesday

I went out for my run and Abby joined me...

I got home and she went to play tennis with Alan.

I got out more stuff for her to look at and tried to sort through what else she might want to take to Brazil! We had Bible study at 1:10 and I made a lunch for one of the students... and then brought panna cota that I bought from Costco! And we had another fabulous study... Please keep these students in your prayers.

Alan came to pick us up as we headed over to Isaiah's place. Abby had a nice look around and then we headed back after securing the L-shaped shower rod and curtain!

We got home at 5:30 and I had to leave again at 5:45! WOW...

Tutoring went well and I came home at 7:30 and made myself a salad... YUMMY!

Prayer time at 8:45! And it was bedtime! YIPPY!

Low Energy Tuesday!

The weather was so perfect... cold and chilly... but I had absolutely no energy... I think I was up several times to check on messages to see what was happening with Abby... so my sleep was quite interrupted. Read on to know more...

I had my time with Jesus and then did a load of laundry! The hampers were overflowing! Then I went to Costco as I wanted to start the beef stew... I ate breakfast first... Sourdough cheese bread with butter and a mug of coffee...

I bought quite a bit of stuff... and came home at around 11:30 and started the crock pot beef stew. (I just had a bowl of the soup and it's fabulous!) After a short nap, I went out for my run! Wow... slow but invigorating!

Alan was home when I got back! I took a shower and put more things down for people to pick up! And my shoes arrived! YIPPY!

I revised the Sunday talk into another post and I'll be doing that for the rest of the week!

I had planned to do several other things, but I did not get to them... I did order a box for the Philippines as I've got a lot of stuff gathered already!

We went to see a possible place to purchase for the church, but it was way above our budget. We will pray!

We then headed to the airport and arrived before Abby landed. She got out of customs and immigration quite quickly and we were home by 8:15. Prayer time at 8:45 and then we had Family Time at 9pm.

How wonderful to have Family Time in person!

We headed to bed quite late...

Run Around Monday!

I was up early and again, felt as if I could sleep all day, especially with the full day I had yesterday... and I forgot to mention that it was my sister's 67th birthday. I set my alarm to wish her happy birthday and then at around 4:25, I looked in our family group chat and no one had written anything... And I thought... I need to wish her a happy birthday again... and that was GOD... as I had forgot daylight savings time... so the first time I wrote happy birthday, it was still March 7th... at 4:25, it was 12:25... and it was March 8th!

OK... about today... Alan and I were writing to Abby to figure out if she was at the airport... and she finally messaged us... yes, a group of Young Adults all went together to send her off... so very sweet! They even had dinner together!

After knowing she was going to board, I finally went for my run, which got me a bit late to my 11am appointment! I got there by 11:22! THANK YOU JESUS!

We hung out and prayed and took off on the MRT at 1:55... so I was again about 20 minutes late for my 2pm appointment. That time of prayer was divine... God stirred her heart and helped her to experience the presence and love of Jesus!

I headed back home at 5:45 and got home at around 6:15 and a neighbor again left things by my scooter... I even got another Kaiser Oven... I will test it and perhaps use it and give my current one away. We will see...

Alan came back and I had the dining room table filled with things to give away.

Tomorrow should be more relaxing...

Women's Day

What a full day of activities!

I was up and glad I took the time to rest... as the day was very long!

I went to church early, stopping to do several errands: withdrawing cash to pay our credit card bill, which I did, looking for fun gifts for Women's Day, setting up as Isaiah was late in coming to the Young Adults Fellowship and we had two newcomers!

After that was done, I went out again to look for more fun things to give away... face masks, eye masks, feet soothing pads... WOW!

I was back and I had set up the Love Cafe before going in search of things, so that was great!

I worked with another sister to share the message: Wait Upon God's Timing! And the message was so spot-on! After the message, during dinner time, I had two prayer appointments! And of course, when I got home, I had to take care of the recycling and there were more things to give away!

I made a mess while trying to put things away and that took a while to clean up! Well... at least the floor is cleaned!

After blogging, I was exhausted. I had one more prayer time with another sister and by 10pm, I was so ready for bed!

I put the chicken in the crock pot and went to bed!

Reflection Day

I was up early and had my time with Jesus... and that's when I came up with the idea of visiting the old homes that we lived in when we were in Taipei!

Alan and Isaiah went to play tennis and then wanted to stay home to watch baseball and basketball. The World Classic Baseball and Collegiate Basketball...

I went for a run and when I got back, after a quick shower, I took off... First to 118-1 JinHwa Street 4F. Of course, I didn't go up to the 4th floor... I did before, but not today. Then I went to ShiaMen Street, Lane 130, Alley 1. But I couldn't find number 6! (Look at the pictures below!) I think that blue door was number 6!

I scootered home and the games were over. Taiwan won. San Diego State won.

We then went to pick up Fenny and headed to Gloria Mall. Unfortunately, Brooks had shut down their store because their lease was up! Alan bought a pair of shoes. Fenny bought two pairs of shoes. Isaiah bought one pair of sweats. We then went to TaiMall. They had a Brooks Store. And the lady was very kind. She called Taichung outlet and I bought six pairs for 9,618NT$, which averaged 1603NT$ per pair! Unbelievable!

The gang was hungry so we went to a nearby Shabu Shabu place! And that was a deal... four of us for 765NT$ with a drink and dessert bar!

We didn't get home until past 10pm!

What a reflection day!

A Date!

I was up early and did my run... not early... but in the morning... and the wind was strong and I ran slow.

Alan and I had a day planned... first we went to Isaiah's new house... I went to cruise around the traditional market and the prices were so much better than Neihu. Alan went and bought Coco and then started on the shower rod. When I got there, I put things in order and tried to stabilize the fan head... we will see next week if it worked. Then I made lots of videos for the gal who will be staying there for three months. We left at 3:30 and drove around to get to our dinner restaurant... We made reservations at a buffet dinner place... it was very nice!

We got home at 8pm and prayer time at 8:45.

I went to bed early as it was a long day...

Tomorrow... it's the 7th of the month...

In fact, several things happened in this past month... I saw an older woman walking in our neighborhood, wearing brown stretch pants and black Skechers like what Mom used to wear... When I saw her, there was a similar blank stare... I went to drop off the two packets of adult pull-ups at the Day Care Center. Even though it was closed, just going up the elevator brought such vivid memories of Mom...As I ran the other day, I saw several elderly ladies. They all looked so lonely.
