Tuesday -- Bible Study & Tutoring...

I was up and it was hot... 

I sent Isaiah off and took off... I wanted to go early plus I had a few errands to run... Dropping off books that I've finished reading... and getting things copied for the study tomorrow.

It was nice to sit and do a bit of work before the gals arrived.

The discussion was again thought provoking... and we ended late... but I had to go... I had tutoring at 3:30 and I needed to prep.

I got another request to tutor: AP English... I don't think I will accept it because the stuff that kids are reading these days... Not my kind of reading... 

I decided to go out for a trial run... 5km... very slow... knee is not completely healed... SAD...

Prayer time at 8:45...

And the day was done!

Teacher's Day... Rest Day!

I was not up early... and the heat was blaring by 7am... So no run... 

We didn't do much at all... 

I cut Alan's hair and stayed home.

And we did absolutely nothing... I can't believe it...

I had Bible study at 6:30... it was a potluck as we are finishing the book Heaven and will be moving forward with a study based on the Chosen, Season 1. I made a big veggie dish... 

I joined the Prayer time at 8:45, but on mute as we were still in our in person study... 

I was home by 10 and made Isaiah's lunch for the week... more veggies in the rice cooker... and I'm set for the week for all of us... 

I will have to cook for my Bible study tomorrow and then bake for my Soochow study. 

It's going to be a busy week.. .And looking at the weather... next Tuesday... a week from now... the temperature should be much better. Today, it hit 35! BLARING... so... maybe in another week, I'll be out running... 

Yes, this week will be above 30... low will be 25... that's just crazy.

Restful Sunday... But Very HOT!

I was up early... and enjoyed the morning... lazy morning... reading... ate German bread (gifted) with cream cheese... and butter!

I had tons of plates and bowls and dishes to give away. One gal came and picked up some... Hopefully, more people will come tomorrow.

I went to church early and helped set up... 

I was the speaker and Isaiah translated.

The service went well... and dumplings and potstickers for dinner.. .yummy!

Tomorrow is a holiday... 

Isaiah and Alan will be up at 1am to watch the Chargers game...

I might go for a run... My knee is feeling quite good... amazing. But then... what is the weather going to be like??? Maybe if the boys are up that early... I might get up early too... not at 1am, but maybe at 4am...

A Different Saturday

I was up early and had to rush out to tutor at 9am... then I went long and rushed over for the church fun event... Water polo matches and lunch... One of our church members was playing on one of the teams... It sure was fun!

Lunch went long because the owner and chef of the place didn't want to prepare the meals a bit ahead of the time... so we all sat around waiting for our order... 

Alan and I then went to pick up more stuff from that sweet gal... wow... and I finally got home at around 4pm.

Isaiah went to watch a baseball game and Alan had a massage with Ms. Hsieh. I was able to relax at home and read... 

We had plenty of food in the fridge... and I wasn't even hungry...

Taiping Mountain & LuoDong Night Market...

What a fun day we've had...

I was up early... and sat and read Theo of Golden until the boys returned from tennis... and we were off... to Taiping Mountain.

First... we had to get gas... and GPS said 3.33 hours... YIKES... we stopped for drinks and lunch and then headed towards the long & windy road... but it was worth it.

We hiked the circular trail of CueiFong Lake... Wow... it's known as an INTERNATIONAL SILENT TRAIL... it was so wonderful... very cool... very quiet... and the woods... the trail... like a fairy land... 

We got back to our car by 6pm and driving back down the mountain was very hairy... foggy... and dark... Alan did a spectacular job... 

We headed to Luodong Night Market and it was so crowded... Alan had his usual: oyster pancakes and giant fried chicken and of course... COCO drinks... we had so much fun! The place we sat outdoors had a violinist... He has his own instagram... he's from Korea... it was a nice evening out...

We finally got home at 11:33... and that's why I'm posting this late... I still want to stay up to read more.

I have tutoring tomorrow at 9am... and another full day of activities...

A Different PR Day!

I was up early... thinking maybe I'd go for a run... but... instead, I went to the Metropolitan and had their buffet breakfast and went up to the 9th floor to their gym. Yes...

At breakfast, I brought the book, Theo of Golden... very captivating read... quite a well-weaved story... great plot... engaging...

While there, a lady messaged me... she had more food items for me to pick up... Every time she travels, she brings back tons of snacks... They can never finish everything... Unfortunately, my scooter could not take everything. That's how much she had... so I will have to go back again... 

I got home and before leaving this morning, I had called the plumber to go over to fix the toilet problem... after another 40US$... it still seems to have a problem. Someone threw something down there... and it is not getting fully unplugged... So, I went online to see what other contraptions I can buy... I can buy three contraptions for the price of one visit from a plumber... he just used a longer electrical snake, but still to no avail... 

My student messaged me... He wanted to change tutoring to Saturday... so I said OK... I was more than happy to stay home... 

Alan and Isaiah had basketball at Soochow...

Prayer time at 8:45. 

The four day weekend has started!

More Books...

These days when I say I'm up... it's not at 5:30... sad to say... I'm usually up by 6:33 and spend time with Jesus... 

And without my usual morning run, I don't even hit 7,000 steps a day! But my knee is feeling much better... and if the weather turns a bit cooler, I might be out there for a run this Saturday... We shall see.

So... Alan went to play tennis and then breakfast at the Metropolitan... He loves it... Tomorrow is the last day of this treat.

I spent the morning reading CS Lewis and two more books have arrived... Theo the Golden... and I reserved one more, Everything Sad Is Untrue... It sounds absolutely interesting just like Theo the Golden. So... I've replaced running with reading... But I have looked at a possible trip next year... I'd love to do a five day hike in the Black Forest from Freiburg to... You can actually have a choice as to how long you'd like to hike. It just sounds tremendously nice to hike and be in a lodge and hike some more the next day. The total hike is only about 140KM... or less... 

I had tutoring in the afternoon, starting at 3:40... and then again at 6pm.

Prayer time at 8:45... 

What a joyous day... Oh... yes, I went to pick up the books before my tutoring at 3:40. With this four day weekend coming up... I am looking forward to staying up late and reading... I am the speaker on Sunday... so... ha, ha, ha...
