Another Delightful Sabbath!

I was up early and the weather was cool... which meant I didn't have to go out right after my time with Jesus.

I went for a run after Mom left for the Day Care Center. 9km in less than an hour... the weather was nice!

I decided to trim my hair and took a shower at home, then I went to RT Mart... The 14th floor is remodeling their bathrooms and the noise was a bit disturbing. So, I scootered over and had lunch there and bought a few items. I even stopped at Costco and bought milk. We were running low. So, I won't have to go this weekend! YEAH!

I was home and took a nap. I was going to go to WGE but decided just to sit and read. The pounding had stopped. So, I guess they have finished taking off the tiles and the toilet.

Alan came home to pick up basketball clothes for Isaiah. They will be at SooChow University.

Mom came home right on time. I had dinner ready!

I had to put her to bed before 7pm as we had our complex meeting at 7:30! I'm counting down the months...

I made muffins for the board members with fresh whipped cream!

Bible Studying and Tutoring

I went out at around 9:15 for my 9k run and it was hot... but tomorrow is going to be great! And it's my PR Day!

I again helped with the recycling. I also baked, using the peels of the bananas and the muffins turned out very nicely! I also packed a suitcase full of stuff that I had accumulated for Abby!

I left for my Bible study at 12:40 and we made s'mores... the students loved them! But they all said they were too sweet!

I came home to drop off things and to buy soy bean milk before going to tutor! The hour went by fast!

On the way home, I stopped at WGE for a quick workout! Alan was home to sign the paper for the helper. I came home at 6:45! I had such a nice dinner before putting Mom to bed. Then it was Bible study at 9pm.

Failed Mission!

I thought I could donate blood this afternoon. I found a blood mobile in Neihu and went there... but the staff said I had to wait two more weeks! I can't donate until May 27th! Darn it!

I was up early and did not go for a run until 8:45, after Mom took off. I had only an hour! When I got home, the sisters were early! I took my usual quick shower while everyone got something to drink! One sister brought papaya. Another sister brought scones with fresh whipped cream and jam! I had grilled ham and cheese, apple slices and chips!

I had cancelled my after tutoring, thinking I'd be out donating blood. Instead, I spent the time finishing up the new study that we are going to start in September!

Mom was home and after she went to bed, I rushed off to my evening Bible study. We had a potluck as we finished another book after two and a half years!

We had such a feast!

I came home and baked a loaf of banana bread. I had watched this video about making banana bread with the banana peel...

Tomorrow I will tell you how it tastes!

Rainy Mondays... DO NOT MAKE ME CRY!

I was so thrilled as the temperature dropped...

I went out running with wings on my shoes.

I ran 9km... and would have gone longer, but there was way too much to do!

I went to WGE for a shower and a quick workout and then there was tutoring.

This morning I did a load of laundry and sent the iRobot out to sweep, took down the trash and recycling. I also worked on my ppt for my talk on 5/26!

So... when I came home, the socks were all on the dining room table as I didn't want to waste electricity! I had prayer time with a sister at 3:45 and she stayed until 7pm when other friends dropped by.

I got Mom to bed and we had Family Time!

I hope it rains again tomorrow...

Oh... here's a picture from yesterday!

A Blessed Sunday!

Mother's Day Wishes

I was up early and went out to pick trash, while working on getting my steps in! I stopped at WGE and did a quick workout and took a shower, before heading back home!

Mom care... and I rested while she ate. I also did some housework, such as putting away the clothes and bringing things down to give away!

I also had a very nice salad for lunch... delightful!

We left at 2:15 for church! And we had a lot of snacks...

It was such a blessed service! Her topic was: Three Women and A Baby. How the pharaoh's daughter, the mother, and the sister all helped Moses to become a world changer. The mother saw his destiny. Pharaoh's daughter brought deliverance. And the sister gave direction.

Love Feast was delicious and we were home by 8pm.

After Mom went to bed, I tidied up things and blogged and checked the emails and went to bed. The rain had started and it promises to be a cooler day tomorrow!

A Different Saturday!

I was up early and did a load of wash... and then headed out for my run at 7:37. I wanted to cheer on friends who are just getting into running and this was their first race!

I made it over there and ran the last km with the one who was running the half! He did a marvelous job! We then found his wife who ran the 10k.

After taking a few pictures of them, I ran home!

Mom care... and then I had asked Alan to stay with Mom so that I can go over to help a friend. She had bought a place and had a meeting with the designers. She needed my help with looking at how to best set up the apartment! I rode over there and made it there without getting lost. What a miracle!

The meeting took a long time... and then I scootered back. I will meet the developer with her next Sunday at 8am. I told Alan, maybe I'll ask about the last three units that are still for sale. The units are small, but sufficient. They are like the size of a 5-star hotel room with a kitchen unit!

I also made some appointments for Abby... the dentist, the hair...and I also made my teeth cleaning appointment. Oh... I cancelled Mom's appointment for 5/25 and made it for 6/1. She doesn't have to go. I just need to go and get her prescription for the next three months!

Isaiah went to the church event for young adults.

I was so glad to head to bed...

Not Our Normal Date!

Alan had to go by school to see how the ICEE final event was doing. It's the big translation event! I didn't have time to run early, so I went out at 9:20... and was it ever so so hot??? As I wrote earlier, I'm not training, so I just ran 9k.

I then went to WGE for a shower and a very quick workout! Alan and I met back at home at 11:30.

Isaiah had a company basketball tournament and his first game was at 11am, which he won. He had another game at 12noon. We missed it, but we caught his next three. He lost the 14:10 game, so we left! The team that beat his team went on to win the Championship!

We found a small Cantonese restaurant nearby that was still opened and had a nice simple lunch. It was so blaring hot. We rode home, making a stop at Costco for milk!

Then I took a nap... The heat exhausted me. I had a helper come to watch Mom... that's so nice!

This evening we had dinner at the Teppanyaki place with our friends from the States.
