Still Feeling Sick

We did go out for a bike ride! And then I convinced them to go to Costco.

What a circus it was over there!

KR couldn't believe that they gave out sample of scotch and whiskey.

Annie was fascinated by the seafood collection, including sea cucumber being sold.

It was good that we did not drive. Yes, getting into the parking lot was a hurdle.

In the afternoon, I was going to take them for a hair wash and hair cut, but the salons doubled their prices for Chinese New Year.  Instead, they came home and took a nap.

In the evening, we went out to Amart (a local shopping mall) and had dinner. After dinner, I got them to go and shop around, very briefly, as their energy faded very fast.

We were home before 8 and they were in bed by 9p.m.

I'm praying that the Lord will bring complete healing as we've done so little of what I've had on my list of places to go, things to do, items to eat!

They Are Here!

I've been waiting for the arrival of my sister, Annie and her husband, KR.

They are here!

Arrived this morning... at 5:58 and they were out of immigration and customs by 6:58. I got there at 7:05 and they were already out waiting at the sidewalk.

Annie was not feeling well.

Upon arriving at our house, she went to bed.

KR went with us on a walk and a MRT ride to Nanhu Senior High School.

Isaiah and Abby took KR straight to the restaurant for lunch, while I went to pick up Annie.

I had to take her on the scooter. She was so scared...

We ate lunch at DingTaiFung and then went for a full body massage.

While they were getting the massage, I went and ran a few errands.

We had dinner at home -- pot stickers and friend rice!

Off they went to bed at 6pm -- BOTH COUGHING!!!!!!!! I had to give them Ny Quil plus an assortment of natural remedies, such as ginger tea and Vick's Vapor Rub.

I don't know what we'll be doing tomorrow. It all depends on how they are feeling when they get up at who knows what time!!!!!!!!!

Getting the House Set-up

Today was such an interesting day.

Abby had an outing with her classmates, bike riding near Fulong. It was a part of her winter assignment.

Isaiah had practice all day.

So, I had the day to run errands and set up the house for Annie and KR's visit. I even had a quick one hour run!

They are on their way!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice Long Walk with Abby

Abby has been wanting to get a massage. So, since I have been looking at buying coupons for when my sister will be here, I found a spa that was somewhat reasonable. A 40 minute oil massage for about 15US$. So, Abby and I went there this afternoon.

Then we decided to walk home. It was a very long walk, but very enjoyable -- for me, at least. We bought fun snacks on the way, went window shopping and got home in about 3 hours.

What a fun day! Abby would describe it a bit differently. She said her feet felt sore. She needed another massage!

It's Already February!

I had wanted to blog yesterday, but I don't know what happened. It's already February 2nd.

With Abby home, the time seems to fly by so much faster.

She worked on her school assignment and I worked on test writing as well as planning for my sister and KR's arrival. I wanted to set up a full body massage for them. I wanted to buy the high speed train tickets for them so that we can go down to Kaohsuing.

And instead of going running, (Abby doesn't like running!), we went out walking. We walked to get her glasses fixed. We walked to pay bills and drop things off. We hiked up the mountain near our house and there we found a butterfly park, which we will have to take Annie and KR to see. When we were there, we didn't see any butterflies... but then it was quite dark.

Today, we also received sad news. My brother, Eddie, who lives in Australia, has a daughter who loves horses. They have one horse, Solly. Their beloved horse passed away tonight at sunset.  Jesus called her name and led her home. Although I have never met this beloved horse, I know how sad they all must be feeling.  Good-bye, Solly!
