Cleaning Day!

I would have liked to rest today... but we woke up to some very 'delightful' smell... The kids, Alan and I all knew...

So, the day was spent cleaning... two loads of laundry as everything was stripped again! And steam cleaned the floor, wiped everything down, disinfected and sprayed!

I did sit down and worked a bit on my next talk for HOP. I am researching Psalm 63! O God, You are my God... that's how it starts and I really used it to cry out to God...

I did have a run at 4:15... I didn't go long... but it was invigorating as the rain was so refreshing. I was completely soaked.

In the morning, Isaiah's scooter didn't start, so he rode my scooter to work. Alan kick-started it and I took it down. The starter was whacky because of the rain. The guy fixed it for free. So, on the way back from my run, I picked it up!

Abby and Alan had classes at home.

I made meatballs to go with the risotto rice. This evening, I also made Chinese tang-yuan! Delicious!

Mom was better as she was not asking to go to the bathroom every five minutes, like she was doing for the past two days! I guess I should weigh her again after today! I will do that tomorrow morning!

Another Online Service!

The rain came... And it was nice and strong...

Abby and I went for a walk... it was nice... We didn't find anything on the Manager's Special racks, but the walk was great. I'm still trying to reach 12,000 steps.

Today the streets were really empty because the government was running a simulation of what Level 4 would be like! We are praying that we won't go there...

Today, the service was at our house... You can get on YouTube and search for House of Praise. I shared from Psalm 37!

We had another busy day. Mom wanted to go to the bathroom every five minutes. We all were getting a bit impatient, especially me, because I have to do the cleaning up!

Psalm 37:40 GW - Verse of the day

First of all, people only remember Psalm 37:1-6 and forget that this psalm actually is quite long. So, I thought you might be interesting in reading the last verse of Psalm 37!

A Relaxing Day...

We got a little bit of rain...

And Isaiah and I got to talk to one homestay "aunty". It's about a 30 minute bike ride from U of Warwick. 600pounds a month, including breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and he can do his laundry. No bathroom in the room, but all blankets and pillows and towels will be included. We are praying. It might be a perfect option!

I went for a run this afternoon when it was sprinkling. So nice! Even though I only ran five times this week I was able to go a little over 48kilometers! YIPPY!

Mom was a bit more active today... but we didn't go out as it was a bit wet outside. I didn't want to push the wheelchair on that wet ground!

Tonight we had a Skype Marriage Builders Session! It was only an hour but so nice to meet up on line and pray together!

Another Sizzling Hot Day!

Alan and I had kind of a date!

We went and bought lunch at a buffet place and brought it home to eat.

Then we went to Costco. He went in while I waited outside!

I wanted to take a nap but I had things to give away and I found a free duvet cover and pillowcases and went to pick them up. I also found a new Ergo suitcase. Alan brought it over to his office as we don't have any storage space at home. It's kind of heavy and I didn't want it. But Abby said she wanted it...

In the evening when it finally cooled down, I went for a run! My tummy wasn't feeling too well... I think it's the heat. I didn't feel like eating as my stomach was gurgling! I'm staying hydrated!

We had Family Time this evening!

Your Daily Verse- Psalm 113:3 - Your Daily Verse

Things are not looking good here... Level 3 continues. People adhere to the rules... and with the heat and no rain, most people have their AC units on full blast. We are trying to keep cool with just the fans!

We are focusing on praising God... not complaining! From the rising of the sun until the day is done...

A Record High for May!

By 10am, we all knew it was going to be sizzling...

We stayed indoors... The kids and Alan had their online classes...

Mom was up and after her shower, she ate and went back to rest! That's the usual these past few days... In the afternoon, she watches Little House. With the heat, I didn't take her outside for her usual walk. At night she still bangs, not as often, but we can still hear her. I am thinking of redoing the bunk beds so that she can't bang on the upper bunk or the wall. I'm thinking of putting the mattress from the top bun against the wall. I might have time to work on it tomorrow.

I had tutoring from 4-7:30! School will be finished, so I might not be tutoring for three weeks, which is perfect for me as I am looking forward to the break! Alan served Mom her dinner!

I made mini-cheeseburgers!

In the evening, we all did for our 'workout'. Alan and I went for a run. Abby rode the bike! Isaiah did weights inside the house. Even at 8:30, it was still hot!

1 Chronicles 29:19 ASV - and give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to

I read this verse this morning and prayed it for both Isaiah and Abby. Give unto Isaiah my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things... Give unto Abby my daughter a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things...

That's my greatest hope for my kids... that they would have a perfect heart to follow after God!

If you have kids, I'd encourage you to pray this for your kids as well!

Quite A Lot Happening Here...

Because of online learning, Alan made a wonderful rule: two hours electronic fast a day! This must be consecutive two hours and sleeping does not count as a fast! It has been so good for us as a family! In those two hours, we are encouraged to spend time with God, exercise, do housework or read a book. In light of Level 3 being extended, I think more families should do this.

We started with online counseling... then I had my last Soochow Bible study, via a zoom meeting. Then I had two hours of tutoring. I had fixed Mom's food... and she was sitting in the living room. Alan noticed that she is becoming more like "Daddy George", which means 'easier to take care of' as she is not hyper!

This evening I met up with my tap dancing teacher as he ordered real honey and some of us bought a gallon jug from him. I also took the time to go and buy a few other items.

In the news, an increase in confirmed cases... one student from the downtown campus was a confirmed case, one worker at the Jiannanroad MRT station was a confirmed case! All these contracted Covid from being in the Wanhua area! And the Wanhua area had a huge outbreak because of the pilot at the 'tea parlor'. Absolutely terrible!

As for the weather, it was forecast to rain, but it never did! Bummer... In the evening, I went for a quick run!

Daily Lovely Insight:

We had our final study for this semester and looked at Daniel, examining the topic: living above our circumstances. It was a perfect study for such a time as this. Because of Daniel's trust in God, he was able to remain calm and pray as he had always done, even though he knew about the edict signed by the king. Daniel served the King of kings! Sometimes, the LORD works, not in ways we expect, nor according to our timing. But the result is that King Darius wrote a letter to all nations and race and language, calling everyone to respect Daniel's God, the living God, the powerful God, the God who saves and rescues!

Cooler At Night... Cooler This Morning!

After time with Jesus, I noticed that it was nice and cool outside. So, I went off and had a fast run... It was cooler!

I came home and got Mom up and showered and she ate breakfast. She has not been very active these days. I think you are praying for me. She is a lot more manageable as she's not walking around and asking me to take her out.

In the afternoon, we heard the news -- Level 3 rules and regulations will be extended to June 14th. That means Mom won't have her program for another three weeks! And of course, we won't be going out to eat for Isaiah's graduation.

I worked on my talk notes for May 30th and June 13th. Because with the announcement, we will definitely have online church on June 6th and the 13th. We might be online for the whole month of June. We will wait and see.

I forced Mom to go out for a walk and then she watched Little House. After dinner, she went to bed!

I had my Bible study this evening on line! And I think my morning study will have to go online as well!

One of my students contacted me and we will have class tomorrow afternoon -- ONLINE!

Daily Lovely Insight:

Patsy Clairmont, Under His Wings --

It's easy in the dailiness of life to buy into the madness of the world. It's in the quiet, as we meet with the Gardener, that He pulls the brambles off our brains. This allows Sonlight in and moves us from being uninformed and misinformed to being transformed and conformed -- transformed in our thinking and conformed to the image of Christ.

Read that this morning and thought I'd share it with you... It struck a cord in me! I don't ever want the madness of the world to entangle or entrap me... How about you?
