Alan Is Off...

The weather today was fabulous... Alan got up and went for a run as he will be flying for the next several hours... ha, ha, ha... He loaded up the car while I cared for Mom. After Mom was in the van, we were off to SongShan Airport! The traffic was amazingly good... I dropped him off and we prayed together. He took the bus and arrived at the Taoyuan International Airport before check-in started.

I drove back home and the traffic coming back was more congested than going there.

The soup did come out so good... so so so good... It was like pumpkin soup! I had carrots, sweet potatoes, and squash... Wow... I will have to make that more often. The gals helped me finish all the meat that was in the fridge. We had a bag of buffalo wings! It was the last session for our study on Psalms. We won't start back again until 2/14! Oh... I had gotten so many scarves from our neighbor, and I brought those out and the sisters all took some! YEAH!

After cleaning up, I was out... Yes, my legs were not quick, but the workout at World Gym was! I go in there and less than 20 minutes, I'm out, running towards the park. 

Before popping into the shower, I baked for the MOE. YEAH! 

Tonight after Mom went to bed, I went to the cell phone place. I wanted to add to the plan so that Eddie can have more data... I also tried to book the HSR tickets on line... and Isaiah called!

This Was Not A Slow Day!

Wow... I usually used Monday to catch up, but not today... 

I was getting things done for Alan and then went out for a run and workout... After a quick shower, I was off to pick up games and had to tutor. I was late to pick things up as the apartment was difficult to find. And so I was late to tutor... but then I went long and was late to get home to meet with a dear sister.

Alan was not home as he went to school... he had taken the car for a wash and then bought a part to fix the toilet. He is packed!

Mom was home right on time and there were several phone calls as I'm trying to arrange help for Wednesdays with Alan being gone and no one home to take care of Mom. I think it's settled. I also tried to call about buying tickets for the High Speed Rail! Wow... it's a lot of work as I have to buy three different tickets -- passes for the 'foreigners', discounted tickets for Mom and I, and a regular ticket for Isaiah. I'll have to go to a window to get it done.

Tap dancing was tonight... last class... just rehearsal and since I won't be joining the show on Saturday, I just wanted to run through the steps. I'm terrible!

Then I went and met up with Jon B. and Alan at Chili's for dessert and chips! What fun! 

When I got home, it was already 11:30 and I had to cook for our Bible study tomorrow. I'm making chicken veggie soup. I just needed to cut everything up to put in the electric pressure cooker! Hopefully, it will be delicious when I open the lid tomorrow. It sure smells good!

It's going to be a long day tomorrow... And all week... It's going to be NOT A SLOW WEEK!

Oh... Eddie and Nic have arrived in LA. James and Emma are heading down... And Alan will be there soon... even for just one night. Annie is super happy. She likes the excitement! And it's been a long time since everyone has been together... Well... I'm not there... but Alan will be my representative. He will feast on my behalf!

Bad bosses... Jacob experienced that... BIG TIME! Cheated him, changed his wages 10 times in 20 years, and pretty much treated him as a slave! In my opinion, the Bible tells of every circumstances that we might experience on this side of Heaven. People can gain such insights from the Book...

What A Weekend!

Alan and Isaiah went off to play basketball and tennis this morning.

I was home with Mom, and since someone dropped off a bunch of stuff, I spent the morning shorting through everything. And I got everything into the car! YEAH. Time for another load of donations. 

The boys came home at around 12:30 and we were off at 1:30 to meet up with Angel and her girls. What a feast! She booked this Japanese BBQ place... meat, meat and more meat. WOW... 200US$! Angel again treated us!

We were too stuff for dinner.

Isaiah walked to the meeting place and we drove off to church. Angel and the girls went shopping!

We were late... but it was good to see everyone.

We really didn't eat dinner.

Alan started packing and I got Mom to bed... and then went down to World Gym... getting my steps and weights in!

This weekend was all about connecting with people -- 'old friends & new friends'! It was fantastic to have Isaiah back... and I should share a picture of his new haircut!

Reading Genesis, I'm again reminded of the heritage that God wants us to pass on to our children... For them to stand on the solid Rock of Jesus and make choices that glorify and honor God... It's a walk of faith much like those who are described in the Word of God... Through it all, God's faithfulness and steadfast love shine through!

A Work Day!

For most people, today was a work day... For us, it was a fun day! 

Isaiah is back for the weekend! YIPPY.

And since Angel and her girls are here, we met up for lunch and it was so delicious. Angel always treats us to the nicest place. We ate so much that I was not hungry for dinner... even though we went out to meet another family at their house... and they prepared a feast.

Back to our day... Lunch was fun as we ended up chatting. And after getting back, I went for a quick run and workout. I hop in and out of World Gym, quite literally... like Flash!

Isaiah helped with Mom and I had her dinner ready.

Isaiah and Alan worked on fixing the toilet as it has a drip, drip, drip into the toilet bowl. 

After Mom went to bed, we rushed off to Amy's house... What a feast!

Amy and Darwin's daughter, Maxine and her husband and baby are back... Plus, Austin, the husband's family, so we had a huge get together. The house was filled with the warmth of friendship!

One More Date Before Alan Takes Off!

I had Bible study this morning and then went for a quick run and workout. Without taking a shower, as I'm trying not to rush, Alan and I went to lunch! I bought coupons and the food was delicious!

We then walked around the area, stopping at CoCo for Alan's drinks -- QQ Milk Tea and Bubble Milk Tea. We had planned the day as there was much to do... We headed to Carrefour and bought the coffee & tea packets! YEAH! Onward to Yang Ming Hospital for Mom's meds, but we couldn't get the prescription as it was still too early. I will have to wait until after Chinese New Year!

We had one more stop as I wanted to check out the Martial Arts Studio by our house for Eddie. It looks really nice and the 'trial class' is 829NT$. I found out all the information and we headed home. It was already 4pm. By the time we put everything away, Mom was due home. I got her dinner into the microwave and Alan went downstairs. I then opened up the closet to figure out which suitcase Alan wants to take and which one we'd be giving away to our friends, who needs a suitcase. Wow... what a task that was!

We were going to go out with friends for dinner, but decided to stay home instead! I was still so full from lunch that I just had a salad!

A Busier Than Usual Thursday!

I am trying to slow down... trying NOT to rush, rush, rush... But to fit in a run and a quick workout... and a shower??? 

I had tutoring at 2pm then went and ran errands. 

I was back by 4:45 and fixed Mom's dinner and ate my late lunch! So delicious!

Oh... this morning, I got to talk to Abby. They are planning to go to the coast as they went around the city yesterday.

I didn't hear from Isaiah until tonight. But he is heading back this weekend! YIPPY! Angel Lin and her daughters will be here, so we plan on hanging out! Plus we have friends who invited us to their house for dinner on Saturday night!

Alan went to play basketball this evening and I had a quiet evening at home!

Another MOE Day!

I am trying conscientiously NOT be in a rush... but Alan had to be at school this morning at 8am, so I had to get Mom downstairs and wait for the van! And the van was late! I had to RUSH! I got to my desk at 9:14! YEAH!

Abby called and I could only chat with her very briefly and very quietly as I was in the office. For lunch, I went out for a walk around. This time, I didn't shop. I just walked! Such a fun area.

I stayed until 5:25 since I was late coming in. I stopped at World Gym and was home by 6:30. Yes, it was a very quick stop! I had to get back to get Mom to bed... 

I had tutoring at 8pm and before that, I got to talk to Isaiah and he had his cell phone. So, we were able to message each other for a bit.

I also got to talk to Abby again. Yippy! She's doing well... It's summer there and the base has a pool!

At the MOE, I am reading about Worship and seeking God about keeping the Sabbath. Here are a few things I learned today:

Three Questions to Ask

1. Am I coming to God in humility?
2. Am I willing to obey anything God asks me to do?
3. Am I willing to physically kneel or bow down before God as I worship and pray?
