I slept very late last night, getting things packed and organized for Kurtis...
And it was an early start...
Kurtis had to sort through his stuff and we were able to get everything packed! So, I had nothing to mail for him... I then scootered out to buy a few surprises for Annie...
We left for the airport at 1:15...
When we got to the airport, it was so empty. We were kind of shocked.
We went to the counter... and they wouldn't let Kurtis check in.
It turned out the Japan is not letting anyone land and stay in the airport overnight. And there is no other flight. He had to get a full refund and we tried to get another flight... As we looked, it seemed as if he had to go for a direct flight... and they don't even go but once a week and they are SUPER EXPENSIVE...
We decided to stop at Costco on the way home and bought two pizzas.
It looks like he will be with us for the week... and he will have to no money when he gets home as he will be spending all of it for the return flight...
We enjoyed pizzas for dinner... Mom got to watch two Little House while I fell asleep after dinner...
I felt so much better with a power nap... I went and paid a few bills... and picked up books from the library and bought fruits... Alan went to play tennis...
Family Time...
I could have gone for a run, but I ran last night... Tonight it was not raining and it would have been delightful to go and run... Oh well...
Daily Lovely Insight:
Simply... Judas experienced the washing of his feet by Jesus, but did not stay to hear the truth, the powerful chapters from John 14-17. And that struck me... Many times we experience God's acts of service, but we don't stay to hear the power of John 14:6 or how He prays for us. God is the way, the truth and the life. Let's not just stay for the service. Let's live a life for the glory of God. Yes, there are many who experience God and turn around and betray Him. This week, two wonderful men of God have gone home -- Ravi Zacharias and David Pawson. They lived for the glory of God. I could only imagine what they are experiencing now as they gaze at their Master's face!
Seek Him First!
