He will be in the States from January 24th to Feb. 19th. I know that might seem like a long way off, but we buy early hoping to get the least expensive ticket. So, the ticket turned out to be around 770US$ with one short stopover in Korea and he gets to accumulate miles on this ticket. We try to always accumulate miles so that we can get a free ticket once every two years.
As for next year, I won't know when I'll be in the States as we have to wait until we receive Isaiah's Joint College Entrance Exam scores to make that decision. As I've mentioned in another post, those tests will be on January 21-22, 2017. Then the scores will be out by Feb. 10th. Around the middle of March, each university will announce the lowest score accepted for each of their departments. If Isaiah's score doesn't reach any of those standards, then he will have to go through individual application and that will involve more tests as given by each school.
But then if things go well... and Isaiah knows early on, then he and I can leave in early June after his graduation! Yes, lots of unknown... but at least Alan is set for his Chinese New Year (winter) vacation of 2017.
