First all the kids who were trying out for all the different sports were gathered in the gym.
Everyone had to do some basic stretching exercises and then several timed skills. They had to run around these cones and were scored by their overall time in completing the task.
Then the kids were dismissed to different places based on what sport they were trying out for. Isaiah went upstairs to the outdoor tennis courts. It was a hot day!!
Now, you might be asking, Did he make it?
And the answer is -- YES HE DID.
But he still has to take the big exams to see what are his other options. Why? Because before the tryout, Alan took Isaiah out four times a week for at least two hours each time to do some practice sessions. It was fairly intense. After the tryout, both of his wrists were hurting. So, we're wondering if he can handle the intensity of practicing four hours a day five days a week for the next three years of high school. I think we need to see if there are other options. Thus, he needs to do really well on this weekend's exams.
Please be praying for him!
And yes, I will keep you posted. The results come out the first week of June.
Seek Him First.
