Time to Read, Time to Worship

This morning Abby and I worked on Science, then I dropped her off at school and went for a quick run. The weather was cool but it wasn't raining!

I came home and took a quick shower and scootered over to a friend's house, hoping to help her de-clutter, but she decided not to show up. So, I sat in front of her apartment and read.  While I was reading, people from a local supermarket came to stuff the mailbox with junk mail. I found out where the supermarket was located and went over to have a look. I was able to get some nice stuff -- all on sale!

I came back home, cooked what I bought and went off to a night of worship.  I saw some old friends who are from different churches in the area.

The day wasn't exactly what I had planned, but I felt very surrounded by God's presence.  I'm so blessed to be a child of God!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

I hope that's true as the rain started this evening.

I opened the window in our back balcony and the nicest breeze just came floating through.

Taiwan started water rationing so this rain is so good.

Abby and I went for a quick bike/run this afternoon. She biked and I ran. We only had 30 minutes as we were home all day trying to get a lot done.  I helped her with her Science.  Then in the afternoon, she started on test prep while I worked on household things, such as cooking and cleaning. At 4:30, we finally took off, just to be outdoors! It was very nice.

I dropped her off at her cram school and went to Bible study.

During the Bible study, we felt two earthquakes and the sound of the rain started.

It was a very interesting ride home on the scooter.

(Kind of like this except at night and with Abby behind me!)

A Day of Prayer

This morning, I felt as if I didn't have enough time in prayer... so the Lord gifted me with three more opportunities for prayer time.

I walked to Costco and it was 3 kilometers one way... so that was a great time of prayer.

Then I got to church and had to do a prayer walk to our old house as they were having an 'idol moving party' at the park right in front of the house.  That was another great 40 minute prayer walk.

I was also the intercessor and the other person didn't make it. So, God gave me another hour of prayer by myself.

I felt so blessed that the Lord heard my heart desire for more prayer time.

During the time of being the HOP Intercessor, the rain started to pour. For me it was an answer to the prayer I uttered when I was prayer walking to our old house. I asked the Lord to send rain to wash and cleanse the land.  As I sat there in prayer, the thunder sounded and the sound of a downpour started.

Thank you, Jesus!

Interesting Day

I just don't like meetings.  It doesn't seem to matter what the meeting might be for.  Meetings bore me... I feel sleepy when I am in a meeting.

Case in point, today I went all the way to Danhsui to attend a meeting about the possibility of buying a parking space via an auction.  After an hour, I left.  It was pointless.  I think I will just call the man in charge and ask for the main points, which I think can be summarized in less than 5 minutes.

Upon coming back home, I worked at getting concert tickets for my kids.  Again, it was of no use. The ticket master opened at 5p.m. The computer around the island crashed at 5:20 and was rebooted by 6:30.  Tickets were sold out by 9:32 and we never even got into the system.  Scalpers  must have bought out the tickets as I saw a 60US$ ticket for sale for 200US$ even BEFORE tickets went on sale. Again, it was of no use!

Interesting day... No ticket, No parking space.

Another Great Day

Today was filled with prayer time and catch up time.

This morning I had a chance to prayer walk with a dear sister around this beautiful park.

Then I had a chance to go to the traditional market with a sweet baby. I haven't had such a small baby in a front pack for 15 years!

I had lunch with Alan for our date at a new restaurant.

This evening we got together with a dear family who lives in Australia. I finally had the chance to meet two of their four kids as the last time they were here, only two of four kids were able to come.  It's been 18 years since they left Taiwan.  When I got home this evening, I realized that we didn't get a group picture!

It's a wonderful feeling to be together and to have time to catch up. The evening came to an end too fast.

Getting Lots Done

It was a very productive day.  Since I took yesterday to relax, today was a WORK day!

I cleaned the ceiling fan blades, scrubbed the kitchen and study floor, thoroughly wiped down the desk tops with magic erasers, washed a load of clothes, and emailed people.  I also baked a loaf of bread.  (Very yummy!) In the evening, I had to attend the PTA meeting at Isaiah's school.

I even had time for a short run!  And it was HOT outside.

It felt great to get so much done... but there is always more to do.

Taking Time To Relax

Today I was able to just sit and read and relax. I made no appointments in the morning, so I actually went back to bed after dropping off Abby.  Then I took time to read instead of scrubbing the floor! Yes, it's true.

By 3p.m., I had to get some work done.  I think I would have enjoyed taking the entire day to read and read some more. I picked out three books to read. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to even finish one book!  I think I was overly ambitious thinking I might have time to read three books!

What a beautifully relaxing day I had!
