It was a holiday, so Alan scheduled a Deacons/Elders Meeting!
I do not enjoy meetings and the previous meetings were pretty poorly run. So, this time, I asked him to let me write out an agenda and an objective of the meeting. After that was done, he filled in the main points and we talked through what he was planning to say.
Needless to say, it was a fantastic meeting. It was two hours well spent!
We usually have an appreciation dinner... but this time we decided to have an appreciation luncheon. It was very well attended...
Mom ate a lot... she wanted 'a little of everything'... Well, there were two different kinds of salad, two different kinds of soup, two different kinds of pasta, two different kinds of meat and two different kinds of desserts... not to mention the variety of drinks.
After we got home, I went for a short run while Mom watched Little House. We were both very happy. Alan and the kids were home, so I didn't have to worry.
We had a very small dinner and watched TV and had time to share and pray... our usual Friday Evening Family Time!
