The two full days of practice knocked Isaiah out.
He came home feeling sick. He slept the whole afternoon!
Then this evening he went to the Appreciation Dinner and ate three pieces of meat and had some kind of allergic reaction. His eyes swelled up!
Alan went and picked him up!
Sweet boy... I gave him an allergy pill when he came home... And this afternoon, he took two iboprofens! You know it's serious if I actually gave him medication!
His graduation ceremony is on Friday.
Please pray!
Actually, after icing his eyes, he was already doing much better! So, I know God is going to heal him!

Biking to A New Breakfast Place!
I have been wanting to take Abby to a new breakfast place that I read about in the local 'food' magazine. So, today, we headed out. We got on Ubikes and found this little restaurant. We were so surprised to see quite a line outside... So, we decided to order the omelettes to go... they were pricey but we can see why there was a line at this little restaurant!
We biked back and stopped at a park and had our omelettes.
After returning the Ubikes (it was only 45NT$), Abby walked home, while I went for a run! It was very hot and muggy.
This evening, we had dinner at a nice restaurant with friends who are back from Scotland. Isaiah wasn't feeling well, so Alan dropped him off back home.
When we got home, Isaiah was on the couch... resting! He got up so that I can give him a haircut! I still need to hem his pants... Hopefully I can get that done tomorrow!

A Real Holiday!
After sleeping really late, it was so nice to have such a relaxing 'holiday'.
Yes, we have today and Tuesday off because of Drgaon Boat Festival!
I got up early as Isaiah had to go to practice. Alan dropped him off, but I had to make sure he brought the right uniform that I had washed last night! (That was one of the reasons why I stayed up so late!)
Alan went and played tennis... Abby and I had breakfast together. We then went for a short run. She came back earlier as she went bike riding with her friends.
Alan and I had the afternoon to ourselves!
There was plenty of food in the frig... We hung out at home and watched TV.
This Friday is Isaiah's graduation and we have friends coming to stay with us. So, I do have a lot to get done, not to mention, packing for our trip to the States.
But for today, I decided not to get started with any of that and just take the day to do nothing! A real personal HOLIDAY!
In the evening we had our family devotion time...
Yes, tomorrow... I will be getting to work on several projects, including hemming Isaiah's pants, which he wants to wear for the graduation (and trim his hair tomorrow night after dinner out with friends)!

Double Services!
I had the opportunity to speak again at New Beitou Baptist Church. God is walking with me through this interesting journey as I am now also making ppt in Chinese! The church is also growing. We had FIVE newcomers, so the church had about 25 people. Almost every chair was FILLED! It was a beautiful service.
After coming home, I got things ready and we headed out to HOP.
It was good that we got there early as I had to go and buy rice. We were all OUT! I had ordered Korean food as our dear friends, Audrey and Jack, were going to move down to Toufen. I will miss them very much! Angela, a dear sister, helped to make the dessert as I knew I would have no time!
During the service, I had to step in to be one of the intercessors and it was a wonderful time of praying for the service!
God always sustains me through these Sundays of doing double services!
It's going to be interesting in July as I will be doing double services and be speaking in both services!

Running in the Rain & the Baby Shower
I spent the morning finishing up my talk for tomorrow. Why is it taking so long? I'm starting to do Chinese ppt! That's a very time consuming 'new' thing for me! I sent it off... and the rain had started. YIPPY. I love running in the rain. So, off I went for a run. It was so exhilarating with the rain pelting my face, like kisses from God. I wish I had more time out there... It was just so perfect. Very few people, rain coming down, birds everywhere...
As soon as I got back, I had to take a quick shower and be off again.
I had to drop off containers and pans for the Love Feast tomorrow night and pick up things I had made copies off... and then Alan dropped me off at the MRT station and I was 'running' to get to the shower!
I had three people bringing things for me...
And as soon as I got there, I started setting things up. People were late, so that gave me a bit of extra time.
I had three games set... games I made up... like pin the umbilical cord to the baby and toss the baby and portrait of the baby... the food was great... and the games were fun!
Abby came, so that was super nice. We ended with gifts and prayer... and we caught a ride with our dear friends, Robert and Ariel. We were home by 9:45 and had to put everything away. Alan and Isaiah went to see King Arthur... and Abby and I watched a bit of TV after we cleaned up everything!
What a day filled with God's special blessings...

Still A Busy Day
Good verse for today:
I thought that by going to Costco yesterday, Alan and I would have more time to hang out together...
WRONG!
We still had a lot to do...
I went to buy shower gifts and party favors...
He got the church lap top working in both languages...
We had a quick lunch together before going to reserve things for Isaiah's graduation dinner and our upcoming visit from friends!
By the time we got home, it was 4:40 and we had to head out for the big PTA dinner!
We got there late...
We were in charge of taking pictures... but one of the photographers had already arrived...
Abby went to Danhsui and came home at 10:25.
Isaiah had dinner with one of his teammates and then got home by 8.
We got home by 10:10...
So, at 10:40, we were all sitting around our dining room table for our family devotion time...
Yes, it was a busy day for all of us!

I Needed This Day!
I have not given myself the time to just sit... and read... and rest...
So, even though I had lots to do... dinner to cook a load of laundry to do, bathrooms to clean, etc., I took the morning to sit and read with a nice cup of coffee... (OK, I actually had two cups of coffee... )
It helped to set the pace for the rest of the day!
I biked to my afternoon tutoring...
In the evening, I picked up Isaiah and went to get him a pair of tennis shoes and buy things at Costco for the upcoming shower! Now, Alan and I can have time for our 'date' tomorrow without having to run around and do another 'chore'!
When Alan came home from his usual staff and faculty members Thursday basketball night, we sat and watched TV.
Thank you, Jesus... I needed this day!
