Isaiah's University Journey

Today was an interesting day for many high schoolers in Taiwan. The 'call-backs' were released. At 10am, there were so many students on the internet that the system almost crashed.

Isaiah was at school and sent me a message.

Out of six choices, he got called back for only TWO!

Unfortunately, he did not get called back for his dream choices -- ChengChi University. The students who were accepted had to have a perfect score of 15 for English! How disappointing as he did so well on all the practice exams but on the real exam, he scored only 14!

He also did not get called back for Soochow University, German and Political Science. These two departments had a very high standard for Chinese. He missed by ONE point!

We breathed a sigh of relief as he did get called back for Soochow University, English and Philosophy Departments. Of course, you all know that our FIRST choice is Soochow University, English Department. He will be required to take an English exam and go through an interview.

Next step is for him to send in his portfolio by 3/23. The interview and test will be on April 8 and April 9.

I will update you all later on in May when he hears about the final acceptance!
