Another Busy Weekend!

I was up and out... I went for only 2 hours. I was hoping for a 4 hour run, but I just didn't have the time! I rode to WGE and dropped off my bag and started my run. I ran a loop and went to WGE for a shower and headed home. Mom care!

I did a load of laundry... actually, I did two loads. One for Mom's stuff and one for the boys!

Then since Alan was home, I went out to run errands. I wanted to find some gifts for the luncheon and pick up my Brooks Divide 2. Yes, I bought another pair for about 70US$. That's what I will use for January 6th. I didn't find all the gifts, but I got the game copied off!

I was home and had counseling with a dear friend who is struggling. We finished at 4:45! 

Isaiah went to get a haircut and then both he and Alan went for a massage. I had mine on Thursday!

It was a free night after Mom went to bed! YEAH!

We watched Disney+ as it has NCIS!

WHAT A DATE!

I went out and ran my 12k around the river park... after Mom took off. The weather was warmer than I had expected!

Alan and I were back at around the same time. We had a lot planned for this day... Maybe too much!

We had brunch at one of our favorite Chinese breakfast spots after stopping at the Chung Hwa Telecom to check about our WiFi. It seems slow and we had upgraded it... so we thought! We then went over to Soochow as it was the last day of the Christmas Market. They sold almost everything! It was fun to see everyone. We left and headed to RT Mart to pick up a few things for the luncheon on Sunday and then went back to Chung Hwa Telecom. It was a long wait and it turned out, we didn't get the WiFi upgraded. So, we had to get that done. We then went and paid several bills before going to Taiwan Telecom that has our WiFi at the old house and our phone contracts. Alan wanted more data, but he will have to wait until April of 2024. We signed for two more years for my cell phone contract and the old house WiFi!

We were home at 4:45 and I had to put everything away and the phone rang! Wow... how did the day fly by so quickly???

Alan went to play tennis with Isaiah. I tried to watch Disney+ as I get that 'free' for two weeks! I don't think I will renew. It's 10US$ per month! But I'll see what's on there... But it sure is fun to have popcorn and scroll through... I can share my account with 7 other people! UNLIKE NETFLIX! But... the question remains: is there anything worth watching?

After Mom went to bed, I had to go to Campus Cafe as that was one errand that we forgot about. I had to draw a picture of the seating arrangement and finalize the order for Sunday!

Restful Refreshing Sabbath!

I was up several times last night... I was just so excited to have my Sabbath!

I got Mom up and out and sat and read and rested!

I then went and cleaned Mom's room. We had put all the fans in there and I needed to rig a curtain so that Mom's talking can be somewhat 'sound proof'. We are trying everything! I will also try putting a mask on her tonight!

Then I went for a run... just the hills for 12k! The weather was delightful!

After a quick shower, I went to buy soy bean milk and fruit and then had a two hour massage!

I had to rush back for Mom care! Otherwise, I would have enjoyed walking around for a bit. Oh well!

I was home to get Mom's dinner heated and the phone rang!

Tonight, I didn't have any appointment, but I went out after Mom went to bed to pay her day care center bill and to go to WGE. I also bought dinner rolls at Carrefour -- at a very discounted price and freshly made!

I had baked a chicken potato dish this morning for the boys as they were at Soochow University to play basketball! They said it was really good!

What A Fun Day!

I was up too early and after my quiet time, I went back to bed!

Then it was Mom care... and I did a few household chores before going out for my 12k run at the River Park! It was raining, but I quite enjoyed it as there was no one at the Park!

I rushed home and took a super quick shower and went to Soochow! I had everything packed! The Christmas Market was going on, so I passed out candy canes and talked to people. I also shopped! What FUN!

The students didn't come until 2pm, but one new gal came at 1:10 and we chatted! We celebrated Christmas and it was so much fun! This was our last time for this semester! I didn't leave until 4pm. I had to rush to get gas and then went to tutor. I made it by 4:28! What a miracle!

It was raining when I rode to their house and it was raining when I came back. I decided not to stop at WGE. I just wanted to get home!

Of course, I had Mom Care! But I first sat down and ate! Then I put away everything before putting Mom to bed. 

Prayer time with a sister at 8:30! And I ordered another pair of Brooks Divide. Those are the shoes that I've been using to run the hills and they are quite comfortable! They were on sale and free shipping! Thank you, Jesus!

Bible Study Tuesday!

I was up and the weather was splendid!

I got Mom up and out and went for 12k.

As I was running towards our house, I heard a "honk", the Bible study gals were in a car just behind me. They parked and I was home for a quick shower! Perfect!

We looked at Matthew 26:36-44, how Jesus went through grief and loss!

As we shared our prayer requests, we also realized how much the Lord has brought us through this year!

After cleaning up, I left to run errands and went to WGE.

I was home and downloaded the emails, and still no entry from my student.

It turned out we had a miscommunication, so no tutoring this afternoon!

I decided to lay down and take a nap! It was a great 30 minutes!

Mom was back and I had dinner ready.

Alan had class and got home at 8:20. Isaiah had dinner and got him just a bit later. We had Family Time!

It's A Rainy Monday!

I was up just as Alan went back to bed. The Chargers won! By two field goals, but Isaiah said that it was a boring game!

I decided to go and run later as there were things to get done! And I had to get Mom up and out to the van! Because I'm in training, I need a bit more than just 60 minutes. So, this last month is going to be interesting, trying to keep up with my training while having to care for Mom!

After she left, I decided that I needed a massage. So, I prayed: if Ms. Hsieh had time, I'd go over there. She had 90 minutes free. YEAH!

The massage was absolutely so refreshing! As always, it ended way too fast!

I went and paid a bill and bought yogurt at Carrefour! Instead of going to WGE, I headed home and went for a run! The time was short as I had prayer time with a sister at 3:30. But I was able to complete 18km and was back by 2:50 and took a quick shower. I put another load of laundry in to wash and then Elaine was at my house!

Mom was back right on schedule and while she ate, I prayed with Elaine.

Alan and Isaiah came home almost right after each other. We had plenty of leftovers and everything was so delicious!

I decided to skip tap dancing as I had too many unfinished chores! Plus I had to get Mom to bed! With her dementia, things are unpredictable. If I get her to bed too early, she might keep us up by talking loudly for many hours in the night! She looks tired, but she's not really tired. But then maybe she is... you just never know!

At 8:30, I had another prayer group! 

The day went by so fast!

Another Wedding!

It was quite a Sunday... 

I went and walked to WGE and then came back. 

And as I walked in, I heard Mom's door handle moving... How can that be? To my horrid Mom had undone all the hand restraints and was walking around... She got up and took off her diaper... AND... you can fill in the rest! When I asked her what she was doing, she replied, "I'm going to take a shower!" All last night we heard her talking, but I had no idea that she was untying and undressing... etc.

I put her in the shower and cut her hair and then while she ate breakfast, I had to clean, clean, clean... A load of laundry to wash everything... It was a busy morning!

Alan and Isaiah were playing tennis. When they came home, I laid down... but I couldn't rest as Mom was very active.

But, by the time we got to church, she was tired... FINALLY! I had to translate, and Alan and Isaiah sat with her.

I had a wedding to go to, so I scootered over there. It was all the Ming Chuan FRIENDS! I had to sit with the president and his wife... But it was so much fun to see everyone. I ate so much and took home all the leftovers.

I didn't get home until 10:15 and Alan had gotten Mom to bed. I hope I don't wake up to another 'mess'...
