Fast & Feast...

Fast from fears... Feast on God's peace...

Since this is Holy Week, I decided NOT to turn on the wifi until one of the kids came home. Isaiah came home at 4:30 and was like, "Hey, how come the wifi is not on?"

I spent the day "resting"... feasting on silence... It was fantastic!

I started organizing all the cords and electronics that we've accumulated... as I'm trying to find two cords for Abby's Apple computer... these cords are not cheap. She "lost" two of them... they are some sort of adapters. They came with the computer, but she can't remember where they went!

I have not found these adapters yet!

I did go for a longer run... It was overcast... cooler, but no rain! It was nice to be out at the park. James messaged us that where he is at in Vietnam, it's like a ghost town. Annie and KR are still in lock down and going stir crazy. Eddie said that it's pretty quiet there, but not as bad as Vietnam or the States. Things here are fairly 'normal'. We wear masks... We have alcohol spray everywhere, even in the elevator. We will have our service this Sunday! HALLELUJAH, but most big churches have cancelled services and gone on line.  Schools are still in session! Another big PRAISE THE LORD!

After Mom went to bed, I finished the task... When I first started, I didn't think I'd finish. All the cords were piled on our dining room table. I couldn't believe how many we had... Now I have a big bag of give away... and one basket of keep!

Tomorrow I will start my Bible study at Soochow University on PRAYER. Please pray!

Growing Awareness...

It was another fantastic day...

I dropped Mom off and started with washing her blankets... Then I put together dinner as I had tutoring tonight...

I worked on organizing the vitamin cabinet and went for a run... This afternoon a dear friend came over and we hung out.

Alan came home and it was time for me to ride to my tutoring in the rain!!!! The student told me that she's been recommended for Honors English. I was so thrilled. I told her she should go for it... and then continue to Advanced Placement English! We shall see...

On the way back I rode to Costco, hoping to get tissue as it was supposedly on sale. Ha... THERE WAS NOTHING AT COSTCO except for a sign that said, SOLD OUT!

I scootered over to Carrefour and got tissue... I also bought color bleach as Mom's blanket needs it... The next time I wash it, I'm going to pre-treat it!

It felt so nice to be home... Isaiah and Abby and Alan were all home... I was wet and cold...

It was a day to grow in my experience and awareness of the presence of God.

Gathering Together...

It's amazing to gather together for Palm Sunday in light of how many churches are only meeting on line.

I spoke on Growing Awareness of God's Presence... I gave four practical tips and reminded people of the omnipresence of God. That is his character. It does not hinge on our feelings or our faith or our belief. That's the reality of God! He is omniscient, omnipotent and ominpresent!

We had dinner at home... I had made this dish before church today. Our neighbors came over, so it was tremendously fun.

Isaiah had tutoring...

Tomorrow school will begin... but there is a rumor going around that schools in Taiwan might go to ONLINE. That would be such a mistake... We shall see...

A Rest Day...

We all decided to rest a bit... I did go for a hill run...

Mom was active... but I didn't have anything booked until her massage at 4pm. Kurtis went with her. I couldn't find a parking space, so I just stayed in the car!

We bought lunch boxes for dinner...

Tonight was our family time...

The week of vacation went by too fast!

Fun Day!

We had a fun family day...

We went out to Taoyuan... Bought fun bubble milk teas... Went to a new burger joint... Found this go-karting place... and the karts were so fast... insane!  And then went shopping at a new outlet... It was really like an American outlet... The kids and Alan bought new shoes... And we ate out for dinner. We didn't get home until 9:30!

What a fun day!

We ended the evening with family time!

Wow... I Got To Sleep In!

It was dark and raining this morning.

I got up for my quiet time and prayed with Alan.

I looked in Mom's room and she was still FAST SLEEP! So, I went back to bed...

At around 10:30, I heard her calling my name. She was fully dressed and HUNGRY!

So, I got up... But I got to sleep in... miraculous... I was so exhausted! Those extra two hours made such a difference!

Isaiah went off with Vikki. Abby stayed home until she went to play basketball and go to the pool for a swim. Alan had an elders meeting! Abby was home so I went to tutor and an hour run. She went and I stayed home with Mom! This gave me time to work on my Sunday talk notes and ppt. I am almost finished!

The evening went by so quickly... and I don't have any more tutoring this week... YIPPY!

We plan to take Mom out tomorrow...

A Fun Yet Busy Day!

I'm still working on my talk... but Alan, Abby and I went out for lunch and from there, we went shopping!

We even ventured to Costco, which was a total mistake. They were so busy since tomorrow will be the start of the four day long weekend! It was crazy there...

We also went to Decathlon to buy some sporting goods.

We came back and it was time for Mom to be back. So I got her dinner ready and went out for a quick run. Alan was home with Mom.

This evening we had counseling... A young man in our congregation is writing his thesis and he needed some help! He is getting his Masters of Christian Research!

I did not finish my talk... I hope I have some time tomorrow...
