No Time to Sit

I thought I'd have time today to just sit and read. That was not the case.

With only three days until my trip to the States, there was plenty to do.

This morning I gave myself an hour and went for a run.

I went to the post office to buy a few stamps as I had Christmas cards to mail and donations to make. The line was quite long.

I wanted to check what's wrong with the iPhone 3 that I was trying to use. The verdict -- it's just too old. Time to 'bury' it.

I went with several sisters to minister in prayer to a couple who just had their second baby and moved into a new home.

This evening was the women's Bible study.

Double Up Sunday!

What a great Sunday!

In the morning I spoke for the last time of 2015, wrapping up my series on Being A True Disciple of Jesus. I felt totally unprepared on Friday as I didn't have the illustrations that I was waiting for. But on Saturday night, God put it all together, using an old table cloth, candy canes and the songs I had chosen.

In the afternoon it was the last prayer walk of 2015 for HOP.  I reviewed all the prayer walks and sent them out with Matthew 18:18-20 and Matthew 28:18-20. This time, I asked them to bring HOP cards and when the Lord leads, initiate talking and praying for passerbys. The weather was great and the Lord led mightily. I heard at least two testimonies of amazing things.

For the Love Feast, I brought chocolate chips bread and homemade turkey cabbage soup. These items went perfectly with the food that was ordered!

The Lord fed our spirit and our body!

Turning 54!

Today I turned 54!

I cleared the day, hoping to have time just to sit and read and rest and maybe go for a longer run.

Well... the Lord did give me the most beautiful weather... but I didn't just sit at home.

I didn't have any appointments, but there was still plenty of running around.

I even took Abby to the Shihlin Night Market and it was really crowded!

I did eat some of my favorite items -- Chinese burrito, red bean cakes, grass jelly with milk tea, and stinky tofu!

Maybe I'll have time to sit and read on Monday... and go for that longer run!

Back on the Running Trail

I did go out for a run. And one of the people I usually cross path with commented that he hadn't seen me in a while. I realized that it has been a week!  My last run was last Saturday!

Besides the fact that I did go out for a run, how would I describe this day?

Overall, it was a very relaxing day.

For our date, we had lunch at home instead of going out. We ate leftover pizza -- my favorite -- pepperoni and cheese. And I had also brought home Thai papaya salad. So, Alan had a feast.

At 4p.m., I went out for a run. I got back and rushed to get ready as I had the PTA Meeting this evening in which I reported on the Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning Caroling 'activity' at the front gate of Nanhu. I left after my report as it was family night.

For this year, we've decided to go through a prayer book in which we take turn to select one out of five topics that are highlighted that week. We'd read the verses and the focus as well as the prayer requests. After that, we'd share about our week and our prayer requests and then pray for one another.

We end the evening by watching one or two episodes of a TV show or a movie.

Since I leave on Wednesday, this was our last 'family night' for this year.

Our next one will be on 1/1/2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Annual Prison Ministry Christmas Party

It was indeed a long day.

I left at 6:30 after giving my mom a quick call.

I picked up another sister and we headed over to Tienmu to catch the bus. Most everyone was there. I got out my list, checked and we headed out by 7:17.

This year, there were 330 foreign inmates who attended the party and 60 volunteers. The food was amazing -- Thai salad, turkey, mashed potatoes, pizza, KFC fried chicken and lots of desserts.

The morning session started at 9:00 and the afternoon session started at 2.  I handed out plates and prayed for each person who came by.

Even though they are 'in prison', I prayed that they will find true 'freedom' through a personal relationship with Jesus.

We got back to Tienmu by 6p.m. and I was home by 6:30, 12 hours later! It was a long day but such a spirit-led day.

Jessie, the coordinator, gave me the leftover pizzas from the volunteer luncheon. YUMMY. As I opened the boxes, I had all my favorite kinds of pizzas -- double pepperoni and kimchee. God sure loves me.

The kids and Alan enjoyed a fabulous dinner!

And yes, another day went by and still "NO RUN"!

Again, NO RUN!

Yes, it's true. I can't believe it.

I had thought I'd go for a longer run today and it turned out that I didn't go for a run, AGAIN!

I was hoping to go this evening.

BUT my stomach started acting up. I really didn't feel well.

I thought I better not go, even though I love running in the rain! I don't want to get sick as tomorrow is the annual prison ministry Christmas party! So instead of a run in the rain, I had a piece of toast!

Monday, Tuesday and now Wednesday, I've had no time for a run!

And I already know -- I won't have time tomorrow! WAHHHHHHH...

No Time for A Run!

The day went by all too quickly!

I worked on my talk notes for Sunday.

I ran errands - mail a package, paid bills and donated money.

I met a friend for lunch.

I got an old iPhone 3 fixed so that I can be back on 'line' and 'wechat'. (It's still not working exactly right, but I am getting messages on and off!)

I was hoping to have an hour for a run, but I wanted to work on my talks... so...

TOMORROW!  I'm being hopeful, but maybe I'll go for a longer run... MAYBE!
