Tuition Waiver & TOEIC Score

I asked Alan to call and find out if we really can get a discount on the tuition, if Isaiah goes to Soochow University, since Alan is a teacher there.

And this is how it works --

We have to pay the full amount of tuition each semester. Then, if Isaiah gets an average of 75 or above, we can then apply for a reimbursement. The great part is -- if the tuition was 48,000NT$, we can get about 40,000NT$ back! That's almost FREE! And we can do this for every semester of his BA degree and even for his post graduate studies, as long as Alan is still teaching there full time! (And Isaiah's grade point average stays above the required standard!)

The negative part is -- Isaiah must get an average of 75 or higher... If he gets below that, we get no reimbursement!

Isaiah thinks it shouldn't be a problem!

I was hoping for just a discount... that seems like the safer route. But with this, we pay less, but the burden falls on Isaiah to do well.

We also received Isaiah's TOEIC score today -- 990 being the perfect score... He got 980! With this high of a score, he has already obtained one of the requirements for graduating from Soochow!
