This is the continuation of the 'BIG TESTS' saga as students all over Taiwan received news of their 'assigned' school based on their test scores.
Some students were elated as they got into their first choice of school.
Some students were sadly disappointed as they did not get into any of their top 20 choices. Now, these students will have to wait until August 24th to see if there are any openings in any school.
Some students were resigned for at least they had a school to study in. It might not be their best or first choice, but at least it's better than nothing.
Some students went back to studying as they are going for another set of special tests on July 12 and 13th. They are going for the special programs that are being offered at some of the top schools whether it be in science, math or English. These students have to be super motivated as they cannot be distracted. Most of their classmates will be out having fun. But they have to be in the library or at school or attending cram school classes from 7a.m. to 10p.m. for the next three weeks.
I admire these students. They have a goal and they are doing everything possible to reach that goal.
On Monday, June 23rd, students are to report to their 'assigned' school. If they don't register, then they will give up that slot. And after all the shuffling around, that's when each school will know if there are still openings. And those will be posted on August 24th.
Isaiah found out that two of his classmates will be at Nanhu Senior High School, attending the regular class. He is so happy. Even though they will be in the regular classes and he is attending the PE class, at least they will be at the same school.
What a journey this has been. I have been learning a lot about this educational system and there is so much more that I don't understand. I'm glad God calls me to cast my cares upon Him for He cares for me. I rest in that truth.
Seek Him First!
