I am also happy to announce that our dear piano teacher (and a sister in Christ), Christina, gave me a Sony Ericsson T700 used cell phone. It is better than any cell phone I have. I love it. It's so light and slim and it has a camera. Now, I can take pictures when I'm out on a run... if only I can remember to have it charged up and to bring it.

It Works
I am happy to announce that the writer/burner works... with one slight glitch. Our computer has a panel that swings open when the disc is ejected. With this new Pioneer burner, that panel cannot be there. So, after Alan worked on it for quite awhile, we finally decided NOT to install the panel. The computer doesn't look great "cosmetically" but it works really well...

On Line Shopping and My Mom
I am getting adventurous. I actually ordered a Pioneer BDXL PC DVD/BluRay internal burner from the internet. I ordered it this morning and it was downstairs at the guard booth this evening when I got home from my evening classes. Wow, Alan is installing it now... but it didn't come with a disc. I am not sure what that disc would be for. It did come with three free BluRay discs... I am just so excited that I actually ordered another item via internet shopping... and it's a computer part! Now, I hope it works...
On to another matter -- my mom... she told me her legs and backs get sore so I bought her some really great aches and pain relief cream from KinMen made from this special root. I got three bottles -- one for myself, one for my sister and one for my mom.

My sister informed me that while the helper was taking care of our Daddy George, my mom sneaked out and walked to CVS and the Korean Market on her own. Why? Because she wanted to buy Bengay and apples and bananas. Today, I found out from my mom that she didn't walk there. She went and asked Ron to drive her there. Ron is her upstairs neighbor! She tells me that the cream I bought does not 'feel' the same. Annie says Mom is just stubborn and is choosing NOT to listen. We are all afraid that Mom will use too much of Bengay and the smell is just overwhelming, because she puts too much on. She rubs her whole body with that stuff. She uses like one tube a month!!! We just don't want her to develop an allergic reaction which is what we think happened about a year ago. She couldn't breathe well and had no energy.

Crock Pot Cooking
Every household should have a crock pot.
Last night I tried another "recipe". Most of my "recipes" are not recipes. I just make them up.
I took out frozen boneless chicken, corn bread stuffing, Italian seasoning, butter, olive oil, pepper and salt. I put everything into the crock pot and kept it on "low" overnight.
This morning, I woke up to the most delightful smell. Using a huge fork, I "shredded" the chicken. Then I got out the Panini Press and made chicken stuffing cheese sandwiches with half of the crock pot chicken stuffing. (You must spread some mayonnaise and dijon mustard on the bread and use only tasty sliced cheese.)
Wow... are they good! If I had some avocado, that would have made the sandwiches even better!!!!

A Relaxing Monday
I don't think many people can say that Mondays are relaxing... but that's exactly what I had -- a relaxing Monday.
I decided NOT to rush today.
I decided NOT to write a to-do list.
I decided NOT to do any major housework.
I decided NOT to cook.
What did I do?
I spent time with God.
I talked on the phone.
I emailed people.
I went for a run.
I hung out with Alan.
I think this is the way I should spend all my Mondays!

THEY GOT IT!
Remember my previous post entitled, House Hunting! Well, this couple got the house! They made the offer and heard back on March 1st that the owner accepted their offer. This evening they went into the Real Estate Agency, met the owner and signed the contract. The escrow will probably take a month to close and then about another two months to remodel... By the end of June, they should be moved in and will officially be "our neighbors".
This is so exciting.
The apartment also has a few things that I might be able to move to Danhsui -- two cabinets, a washer and a dryer.
Here are three pictures from the web site where I found the property listed -

It's March 1st!
It's Saturday, March 1st and the spring cleaning spirit came...
I started with Isaiah's room because he has allergies. I cleared off his desk, dusted, sorted through old papers and swept and mopped. I didn't get to any other room because his room alone took all day. I notice that the one chore that I don't like is DUSTING!!! And I need to be more vigilant about mopping the floor. I sweep on a regular basis, but with tile flooring, I need to mop more often.
I think the spring cleaning spirit left already... and I still have a few more rooms to go.

It's Time!
Here in Taiwan 2/28 is a holiday. So, I called and made an appointment for our annual family portrait. This year's theme is "Memories" and our verse is Eph. 2: 10

Here are some of the pictures we took with our camera --
Our photographer was super nice. We had three different backgrounds and he had us do so many poses. It's going to be very difficult to choose this year.
Can you guess why the theme is called "Memories"?
