A Very Unusual Day...

You might be wondering what I meant by an unusual day...

Both kids were home... almost the whole day.

Abby taught at the cram school and got back by 1pm.

Isaiah stayed home and was not over at his girlfriend's house.

So, we were all together and decided to rent a movie and watch it after Mom went to bed at 7:30.

We found the DVD for the movie, I Can Only Imagine... and it was a great movie! We enjoyed it tremendously... We even made popcorn...

Yes, we haven't had many days where the kids are home... so it was super nice.

As for dinner, we had leftover pizza and salad and ice cream for dessert...

I love having the kids home!

No Rain...

It was extremely warm today... But the forecast says that rain will be coming all too soon... and for a whole week.

Mom had her dental appointment today... All seems good... and what needs to be done, Annie said wait until she is back next summer!

I took Mom to Costco after her appointment and it was a madhouse... They had so many sample stalls... People just parked their carts everywhere in order to get the free samples... As for the parking... packed all the way down to B3!

Pizzas were on special, so we bought two! Alan didn't go with us as he hurt his thigh muscle... really bad! Someone kneed him during basketball last night...

This evening we had a very brief family time as Abby had to have a meeting at her cram school, AGAIN! So after dinner we just shared about our week and prayed together. We didn't talk about several things -- to postpone our around the world trip? Our will?

Knee Strengthening & Board Game Playing

It's been raining... I like the rain, but I can't take Mom out to the park...

So, this morning Mom went to the Knee Strengthening Class... and while she was there, I went for a 30 minute run...

We were home by 12:30...

At 2:30, we were out again... This time for the board game playing 'group'... We stayed for an hour and we were back home by 4:30.

I got Mom settled to watch Little House while I went off to tutor... Isaiah came home by 5:30 and I was home by 6:30!

Abby had to teach... Isaiah took off to tutor... and Alan stayed at school to play basketball...

I made mashed potato and tilapia... so Alan can enjoy that when he is home.

I felt tired all day... probably from all the go-go-go yesterday... I hope I will have time to rest this weekend... I feel a slight sore throat coming on...

A Way Too Long of A Day...

I did not leave any margins in my day...

And so when I had an unexpected 'emergency', it just threw me for a loop!

Unknown to me, our car had ran over a nail and thus, the car's TPMS alarm went off...

So, I had to make a stop at the Toyota Dealership and they found the nail in the right back tire... but it was going to take another 15 minutes to get it fixed. I was on my way to drop Mom off at the blind acupressurist... I asked them to pump the tire up in order to shut off the alarm and drove, found a parking space and walked Mom to her appointment.

Then I got back in the car and drove to our usual tire place and got the tire fixed for 3US$!

I drove back, found another parking space and napped in the car... before picking Mom up.

Because I was late in dropping Mom off, the massage ended late...

I had to rush back home and Alan had to get dinner ready for my mom while I dashed off to tutor!

I got home, stopping at the library, and ate a quick dinner, washed the dishes and took down the clothes and the couple we're counseling arrived...

Now, it's almost 12 midnight and I'm ready to head off to bed... It's going to be another early morning...

It Went Well...

Image result for God is able
Knowing that I will have to be gone this afternoon, I decided to 'tire' Mom out by taking her out to the Dahu Park. It worked!

I forced her to walk around. So, after lunch, she napped from 1:30 to 4pm!

Ariel, our friend, came over at 4:05 and woke Mom up and put on Little House...

I was back by 5:15!

So, the day went well...

This evening I had Bible study and Abby came home to help supervise!

YIPPY!

Thank you all for praying...

No Go...

One thing Annie and I thought I could try was locking the bathroom door at night...

I tried last night... NO GO...

Mom got up and yelled my name... to open the door... Our house is too small... so the kids and Alan all got up... She got up at 12:14, JUST AFTER WE WENT TO BED... and again at 4:20! Needless to say, I didn't sleep much last night!

But since we didn't have any morning program, I took her to run a few errands and then after lunch, we both took a nap... I was so sound asleep... for about an hour! Such bliss...

In the afternoon, Mom had her Mind Class... And I went for my short run, just around and around the block! This class is so great for mom... but it's only for 10 sessions! Please pray that the government will continue to sponsor this for FREE and at this location in Neihu!

I took Mom shopping at the supermarket so that she can get some walking in...

The rest of the evening flew by... We do the usual in the evening, including her daily journal!
