Fully Loaded Saturday!

I was up early and went out for my run... Abby left later... as she wanted to sleep in. I had no time to sleep in!

I was cooking and baking when I got back...

We had a 2pm appointment for our annual family portraits. We took a picture after we were finished! On Tuesday we will go look and choose... I'll post them in April... Readers will have to wait...

We were finished in 30 minutes and stopped at the local snack stores to buy a few things... And we were home as I need to finish baking! Isaiah and Abby left for the basketball game and we took off soon afterwards.

Time to set up for Marriage Builders.

We had four couples and a great evening: Dinner Discussion!

When we got back at 9:15, Abby was home.

I put more goodies in the crock pot and I wanted to bake another loaf of corn bread, but I was way too tired!

Tomorrow is another FULLY LOADED DAY!

Oh... this afternoon, while things were baking and cooking, I was hoping to blog or check my emails, but my computer would not work! The screen was black. I prayed in Jesus' name and left... God did it... When we got back, it turned on! I would say it was a miracle from God!

Productive Date...

I was up early and the weather again was nice... cloudy and cool... at least not too hot! Abby ran also... She went over to play tennis with Alan and I ran home!

After a quick shower, I went and ran a few errands. I had ordered a rack for the oven I got from the recycling. It works perfectly! And now, with a rack... I can take out the muffin tray that I rigged up to be a makeshift rack!

I also went and bought milk and bread.

Alan and Abby came home and Abby took off to get her hair done after a quick shower. I packed her a lunch to take with her.

Alan and I headed to Danhsui to drop off an iron and a huge pot. Then we had lunch at a Cantonese restaurant... of course, we stopped at CoCo for Alan's bubble milk tea drinks! We then went over to the Danhsui house as we dropped off an air mattress and floor pads and the keys. Our friends are arriving from England tomorrow!

We got home just in time as Abby was taking off to meet one of her university's friends. They are going to have dinner together... and hang out!

Alan and I stayed home... we didn't want to join some friends at Friday's for dinner as we were way too stuffed!

And I had a lot to get done! Tomorrow is our Annual Family Pictures!

A Different Kind of PR Day

I was up early and after Alan and Isaiah left, Abby and I went out for our 10K. It was cloudy with a slight breeze! So much nicer than yesterday!

We got back and after a shower, I went to get fruit and veggies.

Abby went to get her teeth cleaned and an oil massage.

I had time to sit and read! So nice!!!!!!!!!

I put the veggies and the beef chunk in the crock pot and headed to tutor. Yes, it was changed from yesterday to today!

Abby after her dinner went to play basketball.

I walked down to tutor and came back just in time as a friend wanted me to trim/cut her hair. She came over at 7:30. At 8:45, I led the nightly prayer time!

Everyone was home by 9:30!

The box is packed and put down on the first floor for pick up tomorrow! We are planning to drop off the keys to the guard as we have friends who will stay at the Danhsui house tomorrow for a few nights before they head down to Taichung! And Saturday is our Family Picture!

Another Great Wednesday!

The weather is definitely getting warmer... so I have to get up earlier to run! The sun is out in full blast by 8am!

When I got back, it was time to bake and do a load of laundry! I baked two loaves of cheesy cornbread. So delicious!

Alan came home for lunch and I left for school to set up.

We had a newcomer... and the time flew by...

Abby and I stayed to chat as I didn't have tutoring today.

We got home at 4:15 and I had a lot to get done in 75 minutes as we left for a friend's son who was having his graduation concert!

We scootered over as the parking is really difficult to find! We were 15 minutes late, but he didn't start his performance until about 7:45! We came home after a group photo and caught the prayer time. I then worked to put away the clean clothes and rigged up a light for Isaiah so that he can read in bed!

Tomorrow is my PR DAY! YEAH!

Tuesday Study!

I was up and it felt good to be up early...

I put the quiche in the oven and got things done before going out for a quick run! Abby had a prayer meeting on line, so she didn't go with me. I was back and had no time for a shower. I grabbed everything and headed to church! YEAH! I was onetime!

I set up and we had five people, including Abby... and it was a delightful time of discussion!

We finished at 1pm and Abby went home while I went to run more errands: buying veggies, mailing a book and trying to get Abby's credit card application completed! Yes, that's done and we wait for it to arrive before she takes off!

I got home and started cooking and cleaning... and yes, posting things to give away!

Tonight I had tutoring and then family time!

I will have to bake and cook more stuff... for tomorrow's Bible study at Soochow!

Getting A Lot Done!

I was up early as it's getting hotter already...

Abby and I did go out for a run... We each ran 11kilometers!

After a shower, I headed out to run Part I of my errands and when I got home, Abby and I had lunch, but no time for a nap! We took off together for Part II of errands! First, we went to the bank to try to get Abby a credit card. We will have to go back again tomorrow. Then we went to the old house to drop off a couple of things and to pick up a couple of things. Next, we went to pick up things that I packed to ship to the Philippines and we also stopped to get eggs and things.

We got home and I finished packing up the box and headed out to meet a friend at 4pm.

When I got back, Alan was already home. Abby headed out to watch Isaiah's game... and at 7:45, Alan and I headed out for our church prayer gathering! I had my online study at 9pm and when that was finished, I scootered home and put chicken in the rice cooker as I wanted to make chicken spinach quiche for our Bible study tomorrow! I put together all the necessary ingredients and will bake it tomorrow! YUMMY!

What a day!

Abby at HOP!

I was up and felt so tired... my throat was scratchy too...

Isaiah and Alan left at 5:45 for the big tennis tournament... and Abby went over too... She wanted to be their cheerleader! Isaiah team came in second!!!

I went and did my walk and got soy bean milk and fruits... and then I did a simple spinach quiche for Abby's lunch. She got back as she was leading worship... Alan and Isaiah stayed at the Courts until almost 4:15. So, I was the MC for the service!

We had a smaller group... and then the General Assembly meeting... Now, I'm on the board... of the House of Praise Association! But it's nothing like being on the board of our complex. Two meetings a year...

I helped clean up and we came home.

The day felt long... Oh... I translated for the message this evening and it was a great message, but quite long! Prayer time at 9pm and I was so happy to be in bed!

The week has started!

Spectacular Saturday!

I didn't sleep well... both Isaiah and I thought the bed was too soft... Abby said she didn't sleep well because of Alan's snoring... ha, ha, ha...

But I was up early... And I had already selected a great place for my time... and brought down a mug and turned on the coffee machine and had two great mugs of coffee mocha! Abby came down for her time as well... then we went up and changed and went out for a run. I did 10km but she did about 5! Alan also went out for about 4km. Isaiah stayed in bed...

At 9am, we went to the buffet breakfast. It was fabulous! We ate to our heart content... and then went back up to the room to shower and pack up...

We headed out to LinMei Waterfalls and hiked... then to Monkey Hold Waterfalls and hiked... We did see several monkeys. Then Alan found a park with many tennis courts and the three of them played for an hour. I stayed in the car and rested. For dinner, we went to LuoDong Night Market. It was so packed...

We headed back at 7:30 and got home by 9pm. There was traffic. After unpacking, I settled down to blog and checked my emails...

What a fabulous overnight family trip!

I can't upload pictures for some reason... sorry...

Family Vacation!

I was up and the day was going to be a packed but fun one...

Abby and I went for our run... She went and played some tennis while I ran home. After a quick shower, I was out the door... I had keys and gifts to drop off... And I was home by 12:45 and Isaiah came back almost right after me. We were all packed and Alan started loading the car.

We drove to Yilan... and no traffic. We arrived at MuAn Hotel by around 2:15 and their welcome buffet was nothing but snacks. Alan, Isaiah and Abby stayed in the hotel while I went out to explore. I found a great running path and saw lots of fun places to eat! I got back by 5pm and we went out to eat... so much fun!

We did go get lots of snacks... and we brought the food back to the nice lobby area and sat and ate and played mahjong... FUN... FUN... FUN...

At 8:45, we had our church prayer time and then finished one more game. I won two, Isaiah, Alan and Abby each won one...

Isaiah came back to the room and had a hot spring soak.

I blogged... and my flights are so messed up... I'm completely confused! I will have to contact them!

Tomorrow we have breakfast at the hotel... I found a nice place for my quiet time... and we will go and have a run... and then breakfast... and check out and explore the area...

Yes, we're planning to be back in Taipei late Saturday night...

A Different PR Day!

I was up and I knew it would be a different kind of Personal Retreat Day as Abby is here...

We went out for a run after she went through the last of the clothing items that I had gotten for her! And her first suitcase is completely filled! We might be able to put a few books in there to get the weight up to 23kilos.

I had made a massage appointment, so she went off to that after our lunch. I took a nap... and then packed things that we were going to sell to the second hand store... But she got back and went for a nap... I scootered over to the library and picked up Isaiah's book and bought more coffee packets. I then made a few more videos for people who wanted to go see our friend's house next door.

Abby napped until 6:30 when she went to play basketball at Soochow University with Alan and Isaiah. I had the house to myself...

I packed my stuff for our overnight family trip... and organized the room, posting things that Abby did not want and the box for the Philippines arrives tomorrow and we will pack that up next week!

Prayer time at 8:45!

And everyone came home for dinner!

Fun Wednesday

I went out for my run and Abby joined me...

I got home and she went to play tennis with Alan.

I got out more stuff for her to look at and tried to sort through what else she might want to take to Brazil! We had Bible study at 1:10 and I made a lunch for one of the students... and then brought panna cota that I bought from Costco! And we had another fabulous study... Please keep these students in your prayers.

Alan came to pick us up as we headed over to Isaiah's place. Abby had a nice look around and then we headed back after securing the L-shaped shower rod and curtain!

We got home at 5:30 and I had to leave again at 5:45! WOW...

Tutoring went well and I came home at 7:30 and made myself a salad... YUMMY!

Prayer time at 8:45! And it was bedtime! YIPPY!

Low Energy Tuesday!

The weather was so perfect... cold and chilly... but I had absolutely no energy... I think I was up several times to check on messages to see what was happening with Abby... so my sleep was quite interrupted. Read on to know more...

I had my time with Jesus and then did a load of laundry! The hampers were overflowing! Then I went to Costco as I wanted to start the beef stew... I ate breakfast first... Sourdough cheese bread with butter and a mug of coffee...

I bought quite a bit of stuff... and came home at around 11:30 and started the crock pot beef stew. (I just had a bowl of the soup and it's fabulous!) After a short nap, I went out for my run! Wow... slow but invigorating!

Alan was home when I got back! I took a shower and put more things down for people to pick up! And my shoes arrived! YIPPY!

I revised the Sunday talk into another post and I'll be doing that for the rest of the week!

I had planned to do several other things, but I did not get to them... I did order a box for the Philippines as I've got a lot of stuff gathered already!

We went to see a possible place to purchase for the church, but it was way above our budget. We will pray!

We then headed to the airport and arrived before Abby landed. She got out of customs and immigration quite quickly and we were home by 8:15. Prayer time at 8:45 and then we had Family Time at 9pm.

How wonderful to have Family Time in person!

We headed to bed quite late...

Run Around Monday!

I was up early and again, felt as if I could sleep all day, especially with the full day I had yesterday... and I forgot to mention that it was my sister's 67th birthday. I set my alarm to wish her happy birthday and then at around 4:25, I looked in our family group chat and no one had written anything... And I thought... I need to wish her a happy birthday again... and that was GOD... as I had forgot daylight savings time... so the first time I wrote happy birthday, it was still March 7th... at 4:25, it was 12:25... and it was March 8th!

OK... about today... Alan and I were writing to Abby to figure out if she was at the airport... and she finally messaged us... yes, a group of Young Adults all went together to send her off... so very sweet! They even had dinner together!

After knowing she was going to board, I finally went for my run, which got me a bit late to my 11am appointment! I got there by 11:22! THANK YOU JESUS!

We hung out and prayed and took off on the MRT at 1:55... so I was again about 20 minutes late for my 2pm appointment. That time of prayer was divine... God stirred her heart and helped her to experience the presence and love of Jesus!

I headed back home at 5:45 and got home at around 6:15 and a neighbor again left things by my scooter... I even got another Kaiser Oven... I will test it and perhaps use it and give my current one away. We will see...

Alan came back and I had the dining room table filled with things to give away.

Tomorrow should be more relaxing...

Women's Day

What a full day of activities!

I was up and glad I took the time to rest... as the day was very long!

I went to church early, stopping to do several errands: withdrawing cash to pay our credit card bill, which I did, looking for fun gifts for Women's Day, setting up as Isaiah was late in coming to the Young Adults Fellowship and we had two newcomers!

After that was done, I went out again to look for more fun things to give away... face masks, eye masks, feet soothing pads... WOW!

I was back and I had set up the Love Cafe before going in search of things, so that was great!

I worked with another sister to share the message: Wait Upon God's Timing! And the message was so spot-on! After the message, during dinner time, I had two prayer appointments! And of course, when I got home, I had to take care of the recycling and there were more things to give away!

I made a mess while trying to put things away and that took a while to clean up! Well... at least the floor is cleaned!

After blogging, I was exhausted. I had one more prayer time with another sister and by 10pm, I was so ready for bed!

I put the chicken in the crock pot and went to bed!

Reflection Day

I was up early and had my time with Jesus... and that's when I came up with the idea of visiting the old homes that we lived in when we were in Taipei!

Alan and Isaiah went to play tennis and then wanted to stay home to watch baseball and basketball. The World Classic Baseball and Collegiate Basketball...

I went for a run and when I got back, after a quick shower, I took off... First to 118-1 JinHwa Street 4F. Of course, I didn't go up to the 4th floor... I did before, but not today. Then I went to ShiaMen Street, Lane 130, Alley 1. But I couldn't find number 6! (Look at the pictures below!) I think that blue door was number 6!

I scootered home and the games were over. Taiwan won. San Diego State won.

We then went to pick up Fenny and headed to Gloria Mall. Unfortunately, Brooks had shut down their store because their lease was up! Alan bought a pair of shoes. Fenny bought two pairs of shoes. Isaiah bought one pair of sweats. We then went to TaiMall. They had a Brooks Store. And the lady was very kind. She called Taichung outlet and I bought six pairs for 9,618NT$, which averaged 1603NT$ per pair! Unbelievable!

The gang was hungry so we went to a nearby Shabu Shabu place! And that was a deal... four of us for 765NT$ with a drink and dessert bar!

We didn't get home until past 10pm!

What a reflection day!

A Date!

I was up early and did my run... not early... but in the morning... and the wind was strong and I ran slow.

Alan and I had a day planned... first we went to Isaiah's new house... I went to cruise around the traditional market and the prices were so much better than Neihu. Alan went and bought Coco and then started on the shower rod. When I got there, I put things in order and tried to stabilize the fan head... we will see next week if it worked. Then I made lots of videos for the gal who will be staying there for three months. We left at 3:30 and drove around to get to our dinner restaurant... We made reservations at a buffet dinner place... it was very nice!

We got home at 8pm and prayer time at 8:45.

I went to bed early as it was a long day...

Tomorrow... it's the 7th of the month...

In fact, several things happened in this past month... I saw an older woman walking in our neighborhood, wearing brown stretch pants and black Skechers like what Mom used to wear... When I saw her, there was a similar blank stare... I went to drop off the two packets of adult pull-ups at the Day Care Center. Even though it was closed, just going up the elevator brought such vivid memories of Mom...As I ran the other day, I saw several elderly ladies. They all looked so lonely.

Rested Well...

I was up early and went back to bed, forgetting to put Isaiah's lunch out on the table. But he got it...

I was looking forward to a day of doing nothing...

I went out for my run... a neighbor had given me a pair of shoes, so I tried them out to see how they do... I will try again tomorrow!

I came back and took a shower and baked chicken with spinach. That's what I had for lunch. Very delicious!

I spent the rest of the afternoon, resting... I set the iRobot to vacuum... and to mop... I put in a load of laundry... I read...

At 5:30 I went down to go run a few errands and the recycling was a mess... our janitor has the day off. So, I worked to get it cleaned up and sorted!

When I got home, I called to make two appointments for Abby: her dental appointment and her hair appointment!

Prayer time at 8:45...

Isaiah and Alan had basketball and when they came home, they enjoyed the baked chicken with rice and spinach!

Tomorrow... date... and I don't have tutoring. They got back to me too late and Alan and I had already made plans! YIPPY!

Soochow Study Started Back!

I was up early... and went out early... and it was great! I need to get back to doing the early morning run!

Then I was baking for my Bible study and the assistant said that we had 12 people signed up for the study! Isaiah took off and I made these great banana marshmallow chocolate muffins! They were too sweet according to the students... ha, ha, ha...

I rested and took off at 12:45... and set up and it was so great to have so many students! The time flew by! I then rushed over to tutor my student and that went well... I was out and got home to grab my other bag for tutoring at 6pm. That went well... and I was home by 7:30... this is my new Wednesday schedule!

I came home and ate and blogged and had time to talk with a friend and then prayer time at 8:45 and Family Time at 9pm!

I was up and I had to fit in my run as I had Bible study at 10am.

I was a bit late... but I got my run in and the weather was so fabulous... If I had time, I wanted to run and run and run! It was chilly and drizzling!

The study was great. The testimonies that were shared... wow... We went until 1pm!!!!!!!!!!!

Then Kathryn and I met to go over Sunday's message and I was off to meet up with a sister to give her the gift from the YWAM Team!

I finally got home at 3:15!

Alan was home and it was nice to have a free afternoon and evening! YIPPY!

"FREE" Monday?

I was up early... and I had the day planned!

Since my tutoring cancelled, I had decided to scooter out to Danhsui.

After Alan and Isaiah left for work, I put the ground beef in the crock pot and went for my run. It was way too warm... and I was trying this pair of off-brand running shoes. NO CAN DO... I will give them away!

I took a quick shower and gathered up everything and took off.

First thing: I mailed the package for a friend.

Next: I updated our bank and post office passbooks.

Then... I took off to Danhsui. The ride was smooth and the YWAM Team did a fantastic job tidying up the place. I just had to put a few things back in order... but nothing major! The part that Alan painted had some peeling. I will have to buy or bring the water proof paint from the old house and treat it again. I also went to see the management person as it seems that by their records, I didn't pay the management fees. I got that cleared up and headed back towards Neihu.

I decided to stop for some veggies and fruits... and I was so glad I did... I bought a lot!

Once I was home, it was time to prep as I wanted to bring taco salad for the HOP Meeting and Prayer Gathering. I was feeling so tired... I got some done and then laid down for 30 minutes... it was worth it!

Alan came home and then we left together. Everyone enjoyed eating together...

The meeting went well... and so did the prayer time. After I got home, I spent another hour or more to get the things put away and to pack up all the food that I had made. Now, what should I bring for the Bible study tomorrow?

People came to pick up stuff... I'm now down to just one bag that hasn't been picked up! The gal said she will for sure come by Wednesday. We shall see...

Sunday!

It was an usual Sunday!

I was up early... and went out for a nice walk... it was sprinkling but I love this weather!

I bought bread... picked up Alan's scooter cell phone rack! He's so happy! He will get the guy to install it for him!

I swept and put together the cookie dough... and I even had time for a nap.

I went to church early and set up... and then met with Kathryn to go over our talk on March 8th! It's going to be great!

Alan was the speaker this afternoon...

And we had a small crowd again... But that's ok... it's family!

I came home at 8pm as I stayed to clean up and lock up... I'll be there Tuesday for Bible Study!

I got back home and ate dinner and had prayer time with the gal... every Sunday evening!

The day flew by...
