Having A PR Day!

Getting up super early is becoming the norm... I am hoping to keep this going...

I ran my 10k after time with Jesus and took a quick shower. I did touch up the back of my hair and Isaiah said that it looks better. With this shorter hair style, it's fast and easy to wash my hair!

I finished up the new study! I had only two more days to write! I messaged Alan who was watching the Padres game. Yes, Padres won!

Isaiah got up and left for work. I had my breakfast: half a sandwich with a lot of pickles. I'm so glad I brought that bottle of bread and butter chips back. It's 2kilos! I wanted to bring a bottle of the dill whole pickle from Smart & Final but that's like 5 kilos! I know Alan won't have the room to bring one back... darn it! I don't think there will be any of the bread and butter chips left by the time he gets home! I'm totally serious!

I sat on the sofa and read... and then at 11am, I turned on the WiFi and I had two things I wanted to do:

1. Buy the ticket to Nepal.

2. But two more pairs of running shoes.

And yes, both are done!

I was looking, and looking, and looking for the cheapest flight and I finally went straight to Thai Lion Air. I got extra luggage and round trip for Nov. 4 to Nov. 11: 700US$! YEAH!

Then I looked for running shoes: Brooks Caldera 6, Women's size 8.5! Unfortunately, I could not find any excellent deals: 100US$/pair! I hit PURCHASE!

I had booked a massage for 3pm. And off I went, stopping at church to drop things off and going to a convenience store to pay a bill!

I came home and ate a salad with cheese, avocado and raisins. So delicious!

Tonight, I had my Revelations Bible study on line!

Getting Things Done!

It was nice to get up early and I went out for my run before the sunrise... There is supposedly a typhoon coming through, so there was a drizzle but the temperature was still quite warm.

I was drenched by the time I came home.

After a quick shower, I went down to the recycling to check and found that they had stacked three bags of trash in the recycling area. I also saw a fan that I could easily fix and use.

I started working on my talk notes as well as prepping for my TOEFL class.

Isaiah got up and went to work.

I ate a nice breakfast!

Alan is in San Diego and they went out for dinner at Jimmy's!

I finally turn on the WiFi at 11am.

After lunch, I took a nap... YIPPY!

I worked on the new study that my women's Bible study will be doing. Angela and I are putting it together. I worked on reading the book, Heaven and I'm ahead now. I worked on 8/24 talk notes on the Language of Jesus: Forgive One Another! And while I was working on these things, I sent the iRobot to vacuum the house! I will send the iRobot to mop later tonight.

I don't have counseling this evening as the couple has a zoom meeting for church stuff. YEAH!

Isaiah had basketball... so I had the house all to myself. What a delight!

And yes, I went to bed early...

Another Productive Day!

I really enjoy getting up early...

I went out for my run and came back and touched up on my hair before taking a shower... hopefully, I made some improvements...

Then I started working on my talk... and the PPT!

I had to wake Isaiah up and he was off to work. I think he was late...

I put away the photo albums and paper stuff that I had brought back and ate a nice breakfast! Romaine lettuce with guacamole that I made. I bought the avocados and lettuce yesterday!

I finished my Revelation homework. There were lots of questions. We have only two more chapters and we're finished with another study! This Thursday night we will meet up online and discuss!

The morning flew by! And I took a nap at 12:30 and slept for three hours! Wow... so refreshing.

I turned on the WiFi and downloaded my emails and worked more on my PPT, adding pictures.

This evening I had my Tuesday evening study on Heaven!

Isaiah went out for dinner!

Tomorrow, I hope to finish the talk notes and PPT and start my prep on my upcoming TOEFL class!

Back in Taipei!

Well... I was going to post on Sunday, but I decided to turn off the WiFi as it was on for the entire time that we were gone... it felt good to be 'disconnected'.

I arrived back at 4:40am on Sunday, August 10th. The flight was quite nice. I did not watch any movies... I But I did eat both meals and even got up to get some mid-flight snacks! A sandwich and some crackers. I tried to walk around at least three to four times during the flight. During the meals, I watched these simple 30 minute TV shows about home design or cooking!

Going through customs was fast. I decided to pause and have my quiet time there at the airport! When I came down, my luggage were already off the carousel. My bags were not checked and I was off to catch the bus. The 5:50 bus was not a direct bus, but I decided to take it instead of waiting for the 6:30 bus.

I was at SongShan Airport by 6:55 and took a taxi straight home instead of taking the MRT and then trying to get a taxi. I was home by 7:20! The taxi was 265NT$! That's about 9.50US$! Totally worth it!

I lugged all the pieces upstairs and started unpacking! Isaiah was asleep...

He left at 10:30 for the Young Adult Fellowship which was at our old apartment. So I asked him to bring two luggage back as we store them there! I've got three more luggage to drop off over there later on this week!

I continued to sort and put things away.

He was back at 1:20 and I had already taken a shower and decided to nap before going to church. On the way to church, I stopped to get money and paid all the bills!

I had to translate... and I was feeling foggy... I asked a few people to pray and as soon as I stepped on stage, my mind was absolutely clear! The message was on Establishing A Holy Culture of God's Presence!

We had Love Feast and scootered home!

I kept the WiFi off and went to bed at 8:30! Hence, I did not blog!

And I got up at 1:50am, Monday!

I had my quiet time and then went out for a run at 4:50 before sunrise at 5:25.  It was much nicer... but still quite warm!

Before taking a shower, I decided to trim my hair... Well... the back needs a bit more touching up... I'll do that tomorrow! I went off to update all the bank books and got gas for my scooter. Isaiah got up and took off for work. I ate breakfast and then left to meet up with Elaine. I had brought things back from the States for her!

She prepared some delicious fruit and toast and we had a great lunch. At 2pm, I had to go as I wanted to stop at the bank for Abby. Her bank wanted some information before the money can go into her account. I got that sorted plus I had to pay about 15US$ for the two transactions!

I then went to see a space that might be a possible event venue for August 30th. 2500NT$ per hour...

When that was done, I headed to the supermarket to buy some veggies and I got home before the rain!

The rest of the evening was spent on completing my Bible study homework on Revelation and my talk for Sunday. I will need to work on it some more and complete the ppt file as well. Isaiah is translating for me so no hurry on giving him my talk notes.

I hope to be in bed again at around 9pm and be up at 2am! I like being up early. I hope to do that every day until Alan returns from the States.

One Last Day!

I was up early and after getting a few things done, I went out for my last 10K along my usual Torrance route!

I came home and took a shower and Annie came over. I walked through with her what I had done and what she will need to do: give away blankets, clear and sort through one cabinet, dust...

Alan and KR went golfing and came back and had brunch over at Annie's house.

I did a load of laundry and then we went out to Aldi to buy a few items to bring back to Taiwan. I am over my allotted weight limit... It's going to be a miracle... Or else Alan will be taking a few things back with him at the airport and bring back in September... I will leave him another photo album!

Annie wanted me to run the dish washer even though we didn't use many dishes since we were always over there to eat. It's such a cute dishwasher... small and new! I ran that, which took 90 minutes!

We had dinner at Annie's, finishing leftovers and she made cream of mushroom soup for me. We came back to the Condo to pack up the last few things and we were off to the airport. I needed to be there by 9:35 as my flight departs at 12:35am!

I will not be blogging on Saturday as I'll be crossing the International Dateline!

Fun Day with Friends...

I was up early and after my quiet time, I decided not to run as we were headed to the beach. And sure enough, I did my run at Redondo Beach. It was so nice... I ran faster... smelling the ocean air...

Friends from Taiwan came over as KR was giving surfing lessons for another friend. It was just so nice to hangout at the beach.

At 11:30, we packed up and Alan and I headed to Classic Burgers to buy lunch for everyone. The place has changed owners and we noticed that eating out is no longer inexpensive! But it was so great to order a bunch of different combinations and we brought everything back to Annie's and had a feast!

KR went to play pickle ball at 1pm. Zoe and Abby had to go for paddle boarding with Abby's swim friends and we took our friends over to the Condo. We gave them a tour and they decided to chill. Alan went to the pool and I worked on repacking the carry on because they don't have an extra check-in bag. They can only carry it back to Taipei as a carry on, meaning I can only have 7 kilos not 23 kilos... ha, ha, ha... Out came the books and the pickles... ha, ha, ha... I will have to leave more items here! But at least the carry on suitcase will be back in Taiwan!

I went and got Alan out of the pool and we went to Costco. I had a return for Annie and Alan went and bought the items for tonight's dinner!

When we got back to the Condo, everyone was fast asleep! At 4:45, we got everyone up for pickle ball at 5pm. We reserved the court. John, Kathryn and Lucas have never played... so it was a lot of fun to get them on the court. In fact, Lucas tried surfing for the first time and he is a fast learner. He was able to stand up!

For dinner, we had a full table of 12 people! David, Tiffany and Paul drove over from Riverside! John, Kathryn and Lucas stayed. Corinna, Kurtis' girlfriend, also came over... it was just such a fun fabulous evening.

Visiting People Day!

I was up early and after time with Jesus, I went out for my 10K run!

Alan and I had set to leave the Condo at 11am to visit with Hailey. We wanted to stop at Costco closer to her place to get gas and buy some goodies!

So... off we went and right near Costco was a Dollar Tree, so I picked up a few things, including some hot dogs... YIPPY!

We got to Hailey's place at around 1:30 and Pam came over. We had a marvelous time! It was our first time to meet Adam and Eloise, the baby! She's so cute...

We ate and talked... Adam and Hailey are in the process of making a very big decision: to move or not to move to Missouri. He has been offered an associate pastor position at the church he attended while in high school.

We left at around 5:30 and drove through the Palisades and then on to the 405 back to the Condo. The drive wasn't bad at all... just a bit of congestion on and off!

Alan watched the Padres game and I reorganized the luggage because our dear friends who are coming over tomorrow can take the carry on back for me packed full with albums and books! YIPPY! I couldn't get that small of a suitcase to be 23kilos but it's pretty close... maybe 20kilos! There was no room to fit three more kilos of stuff!

A Very Productive Tuesday!

I was up early and had time with Jesus... and went out for my run at 8:50 and getting back home by 10 and started working!

Alan came home and I got him to help me out. We redid both of the closets so that I can start stacking up the boxes of all the photo albums that are going to stay here. While he helped to move things, I packed up all the other items that were in the cabinets in the sitting room!

The house at one point looked like a mess... but as we started getting the boxes back into the closets... a sense of clarity set in and I was able to 'see'!

At around 11:45, I took a quick shower as we were to meet Annie and KR at the Y for lunch.

For 4$, it was quite a nice meal. And we met a couple who spoke Mandarin. He's from Taiwan and she is from Hong Kong! They both graduated from the Taipei Medical University!

After lunch we came back over here and I continued to work. Now things were much easy to deal with. I started packing things into the suitcases and they were up to the weight capacity very quickly! I will not be able to take everything back. And I hope a friend can bring back a suitcase of stuff for me... I will ask them on Thursday!

At 3;30, I actually sat down to start putting pictures into the empty pages of two albums. At 5:20, we went over to Annie's. Alan went to buy dinner at FatBurger. I had a nice large salad.

We then came back over and I watched the movie, Fly Me to the Moon, while Alan watched the Padres game. They won...

What a productive Tuesday!

Working Through... But Not Making Progress

I was up and rested until 9am when I went for a run!

I did my 10K and after a shower, I was about to start again with sorting when Alan came home. He and KR decided to go for a game of golf... I asked him to drop me off at Walmart to exchange the underwear, but he kind of forgot. So he just dropped me off and I walked... The easy errand became a 'shopping' trip. I was out for over two hours!

So, by the time I got back, I had only two hours before Angel Go came over! I was hoping to put in five hours of work!

Angel Go and I have our usual Ramen Time... She treated this time. I was so stuffed! I just kept eating...

Alan was home watching the Padres game!

I was going to watch another Apple Plus Movie, but worked on another box since he was watching the game.

Maybe I will have more time to get things done tomorrow.

Sunday Miracles

I was up early and it was nice to spend time with God...

Church was at 10am and Annie wasn't feeling well, so Alan and I went. KR had gone earlier as he was one of the ushers.

The message was from Ephesians 1:18-19. The HOPE we have in Christ!

Alan and I went to Walmart and Target after church. I had things to buy for people in Taiwan and I also wanted to get a pyrex glass pan with a lid. I have two glass pans which I love but the lids have cracked and it's difficult to bake and carry things to places without lids. I've searched second hand stores but nothing. Walmart and Target supposedly had lids... Nothing at Walmart but I found the vitamins and the Hanes underwear on sale and in my size! Miracle!

We then went to Target. And they had a set of 6 pieces, but one of the packages was torn open and only had one large glass pyrex and one lid. I asked the sales person and she told me to go to customer service. She was very kind and called the manager and they sold it to me for 4US$! Miracle!

We had lunch at Annie's as KR had his 50th high school reunion and he brought home some great leftovers! We had Waldorf Salad and pasta! I decided to take a nap as Alan watched the Padres game. And yes, the Padres won! I did go through several items such as a box of cards and letters and some more books.

Alan went and did a workout and I went for a walk. On the way back, I found one of those small road side library: Share one. Take one. I opened up the little hutch and saw a book I liked on prayer. So, I walked back home and gathered the books that I wanted to give away. As I was about to leave, Alan came back. So, he drove me back and I left five books! And we went to Annie's for dinner! The menu was the same as what we had for lunch!

Annie and KR go to bed early, so we came back to the condo and watched the movie, The Family Plan.

Day Out!

I was up super early and Pam came to pick me up at 7:10 and we went over to Suz' house.

The day flew by... I don't know how 14 hours went by so fast... I think there was a wrinkle in time...

Suz prepared the most delicious breakfast: quiche (with lots of veggies!), fried potatoes, grit, fruit salad, coffee, orange juice and raspberry muffins!

We were so stuffed... and we sat in the living room and talked and talked and talked...

We finally went to the beach for a walk... and talked some more...

We went to Cal Mex and sat and ate chips and talked!

We went back to Suz' house and talked... and prayed... and we had to say good bye.

Pam dropped me off at home...

Wow... we needed three more days...

But we decided on some dates for 2026: May 6-18 or May 13-25 for our 45th Heidelberg Trip! We also looked at possible places in Switzerland... We are praying for some great prices for flights... and some great deals for hotels... God is going to make a way.

Things Donated!

I was up fairly early... after my quiet time, I had prayer time with a sister in Taiwan.

Then I started... At 12:30, I went for a run! It was already too warm, but I finished my 10K. After a shower, Annie came over as we went to drop things off! It was great!

Things for the homeless ministry. Things for the Salvation Army. We also went to Aldi to buy creamer... yummy! And we also bought cherries... Super Yummy!

And one last errand: we went to the Tamale Man and bought the Super Super Super Tamale Plate: 22US$ with three meats and rice and beans. We also bought a sweet tamale. It was super yummy! I had some. Annie had some. KR had some. Alan had some. Kurtis had some! And it was finished!

KR, Alan, Annie and I went to the Friday Night Lite Bible study! The focus this summer is about sharing our faith with not yet believers.

We were home by 9:30 and hung out a bit before coming back over to the Condo!

Tomorrow is a day out with Suz and Pam.

Sunday is church and I hope to have time to put photos into the empty pages of two albums and continue to pack and sort through things to bring back. I still have several other areas to sort through!

I also have items to buy to bring back for people: cards for House of Praise and vitamins. All these items are pretty heavy... We have friends who are here, so I might ask them to bring some items back for me!

Getting Things Done!

I was up and had my quiet time... and then I started...

Sorting through lots of boxes... and going through the garage to sort and organize.

Both of Isaiah's bags packed and I started on my bag as well as one bag for Alan. I went out and cleaned the garage and brought things in to organize and put away.

That is done, but the house is now filled with things that I need to go through. I also have about six boxes of things to give away! So, tomorrow we will take a haul to Savers!

Alan and Isaiah went to play tennis and then went and played pickle ball. I worked until about 2:30 and went for a run!

Then I went over to have an early dinner at Annie's. Alan and Isaiah were watching the Hall of Fame Chargers' game.

We came back over here at 8:15 and loaded up the car and headed to LAX!

Isaiah is off... He will land early Saturday morning, Taiwan time! All the luggage were perfect! Even his carryon!

We were home by 10:50 and parking cost 16US$! Wow...

Tomorrow, I will box up more hangers!

Back in Torrance

It was an early morning... I like it... so nice and cool.

I was able to chat with Alden before he took off for school. I then started to get things ready as we headed up to Torrance at around 10:30.

We stopped at Jack in the Box as Alan wanted to get the free Jumbo Jack with the purchase of a large drink. That's the special from the Padres' win last night. He got four for 15US$.

We drank so much Dr. Pepper that we had to make a stop and that was nice as we went to the Salvation Army. And it was a nice one! We must have been near San Juan Capistrano...

The rest of the drive went well and we were at Annie's by around 2pm.

I immediately started to pull all the boxes out of the closet... and the task just got very daunting! I have decided that there is no way for us to bring back all the stuff we have here. The books, the photo albums... plus we want to bring food items back...

I did get a run in and then we went to Norm's for dinner!

Tonight was the Bible study at Branch of Hope on Job 12.

We were home by around 9:30 and I started a load of wash and did more packing.

Isaiah's luggage are ready... He just has his carry on.

I have one of my luggage done already... but there is still so much left to sort through! I open one closet and boxes call out my name... And I haven't even looked in the garage... I have three boxes of empty frames and books and knickknacks that are stacked outside for donation. I also have one box of books that I will bring to the Friday night Bible study. Maybe someone will enjoy them. Isaiah leaves tomorrow... and I have a week before I take off... My task is to get things sorted and perhaps I will need to take another trip to the States and consider bringing back four more suitcases of stuff! But the question is: where am I going to put all the stuff that I'm bringing back??? My apartment in Taipei has no garage, no shed in the backyard... It's going to be very interesting...

Simple Tuesday

I was up and had my time and got Mom Bea's stuff ready and went out to run my 10k. I came in a bit lower than 10K...

After a shower, I got Mom Bea's lunch and took Emma out for a walk!

The weather was getting quite warm.

The afternoon flew by...

Alan, Isaiah, Paige and Alden went to the Padres game...

Mom Bea had her dinner and I took Emma out for another walk!

I was up early and had my quiet time and then after the caretaker came and Mom Bea was settled, I went out for my run... and I hit 10K! Now... it's a big deal as I'm running back and forth on this hill and then it gets quite hot!

I was home and after a quick shower, I started working on my talk notes and then looked at the new study that we are working on.

The hour flew by and Alan and Isaiah were home.

We took off with Mom Bea at around 1pm and arrived early at Marie Calendar's. The food was great... Alan and Albert ordered an entree and the buffet salad bar! I guess you could say they were hungry!

We came home at 4:30 and I took Emma out for a little exploring before we had Family Time at 5pm.

Tonight was another dinner at home... I just ate as much veggies as I can... And there was a Padres game on!

Sunday Rest Day!

I was up early and I didn't sleep well... I don't know why as sleeping on the floor is quite comfortable.

After my quiet time, Alden surprised us with two dozen donuts!

We hung out at home and I fell asleep and had a great nap.

Isaiah and Paige went to the beach and they didn't get sunburned!

We went to visit Jamie and Daniel and they were so hospitable as always. She made guacamole and we had chips and salsa. And then she made fresh lemonade with strawberries and then had cherries for us. We then went out to Mira Mar Lake and did a great 5 mile walk. I hit my step goal! Yippy!

We didn't get back until 10:15. Isaiah and Paige and Josh went and met up with Kurtis and Corinna for dinner! They had Korean BBQ and then shakes... and they didn't get back until 10:45!

The day flew by!

Saturday Run and Church

I was up early and knowing this heat, I headed out for a run... and ran a bit over 11K. I only ran four times this week... and I don't think I even hit 40K.

I was home and helping out with chores around the house.

After a quick shower, we had lunch which was leftovers and we had plenty of that!

I actually took a short nap before finishing off a few more chores.

This evening we went to the Foothills Saturday evening church...

Mom Bea stayed home...

The worship in songs was a bit loud. The message was on Romans 1:16-17!

We came home and had more leftovers! YEAH!

The day flew by!

DMV Done!

I was up early... and just hung out at home. I got Mom Bea's breakfast ready and then went out with Emma for a walk-around!

And at 11:00 we went to the DMV without an appointment! And we actually got everything done! We then went to Sonic to get milk shakes and fries! We realized that one shake and one bubble milk tea here are the same cost. So, Isaiah will have more shakes as shakes are so expensive there in Taiwan. We then drove around La Mesa and went to visit a friend who I haven't seen in 45 years! I just went up to his front door unannounced! It was so fun to surprise him!

We then drove home but Alan dropped me off about 4miles away and I ran back. After a shower, I took Emma out for another walk-about.  Then Gina's relatives came over and we had so much to eat!

What a fun day!

Another Fulfilling Day!

I slept in a bit... but it was nice to get up and have my quiet time.

Alan and Isaiah went to play tennis at Balboa Park. Pam, the Visiting Angels, caretaker came to help with Mom's shower. I just set things up for her.

Gina and I went to Smart & Final and I ran home from there. It was hot and only 8K.

I finished the job at McKenna's and hung out with Emma so that McKenna can have a little rest.

Alan, Josh, Alden and Isaiah went for a round of golf- 18 holes!

All the meals here are great... I helped organize a few cabinets... and played four games of Rummique, which I won three out of four games! And the day was done!

Mom Bea's 96th Birthday

I was up early and after time with Jesus... Mom Bea was up soon afterwards. I was surprised as she didn't go to bed until 10:30 last night!

I gave her a Granny's Donut from Annie!

We then played Rummique and Isaiah won once and I won twice! For lunch we went to Jimmy's. I ordered scrambled eggs with two pancakes and two sausage links. For the 7 of us, it was not cheap!

After coming home, I went for a walk to buy bananas and to make my step goal. It was so hot...

I was home and they were making pizza for dinner and I wasn't even hungry. So, I started helping out McKenna. She's due soon and it was nice to do something for her! I came back and ate a salad and Josh was making fish so I had some fish! It was yummy!

Mom Bea had a slice of lemon meringue pie for her birthday dessert. We had a nice celebration for her!

It was a simple day!

Oh... Eddie has arrived safely back home in Australia!

This Is Going To Be Short!

I was up early... and I did not go run.

I had my quiet time and rested! The Lord is healing me. And I need to be obedient! My stomach was still feeling weird and I was feeling extremely tired!

We went out to Tuesday Taco and had a wonderful meal. And then Annie, Eddie and I went to Aldi.

I came back over to the apartment while Isaiah and Alan went to play tennis.

I went through the photo albums. What a process... Eddie wanted me to pull all pictures of him and Sandy and Mom and Daddy George. He thought he had finished the task. I proved him wrong!

So, my whole afternoon went by... no run... not even a walk! I also worked on packing up as we will head down tonight to San Diego!

We had dinner together: a combination of restaurant food and leftovers!

Annie drove Eddie to the airport and we took off at the same time!

Tomorrow is Mom Bea's birthday!

Daily Lovely Insight:

The LORD truly blessed us with a wonderful mom... it's evident by the way we care for each other! Some siblings don't get along... but not us... There is always a sense of sacrificial love among us! And that's a huge blessing!

It Is Done!

I was up early... only because my stomach was feeling completely off... By 3:19, I was not well. I had my quiet time and the rest of the morning was spent mostly in the bathroom over the sink.

We went to church but I knew I was down with something. I think for the last two months, I was just going, going, going... And when the celebration was finished, my body finally said: REST!

So... I didn't blog yesterday. I went to church and went back home and slept. I got up for water and took two Ibuprofen and went back to bed. I walked indoors to hit my step goal and that felt good to move and get my stomach moving. But eating was not good. I had some chicken soup and crackers. That felt good. And I slept almost the whole day. I went to watch them play pickle ball but I was not about to move!

It was truly a SABBATH day of REST!

I got up today feeling better... but again spent the whole morning resting.

We went to the Y for Eddie's birthday lunch and Annie had brought birthday head bands... and they served the best soup. I had four bowls. And God blessed me with Apple Sauce! I had three of those and two packets of crackers!

Alan and Isaiah went to the Chargers' Training Camp. But they didn't get any autographs. In the afternoon we played pickle ball. It was my first time and Alan and I beat Eddie and Annie. It was quite fun but we had two close calls where Annie almost felt backwards as she twirled to get the ball!

Alan had signed up for two blocks of time: 2-3 and 5-6. Isaiah and KR joined the second hour, which meant it was a lot more competitive!

Annie stayed at her house to make dinner! It was a lot of food... but I had apple sauce. I didn't want my stomach to go bizerky.

The day flew by... I forgot to mention that Annie and Eddie went to the mortuary in the morning and dropped off the urn. Annie was able to fit all the ashes into one blue and white urn that I got. She even put some special items in there. We all miss Mom...

Gravesite Celebration!

I was up super early... and the weather was perfect. I ran my 10K and after a quick shower, it was time to get things ready... Alan and Isaiah went and played tennis.

Annie and I were messaging each other to remember what we needed to bring.

Angel Lin came over and we left in one car to Green Hills. Annie, KR, Will and Kurtis were there already. Angel Lin bought flowers. They were so beautiful and perfect as Annie forgot to bring the potted plant. We set up the beach chairs and at 11:05 we started the service.

Annie gave the opening remarks. Alan did the opening prayer and we sang three songs. The tears flowed freely... the circle of family was very special. Annie shared. KR shared and then read James' written reflections. Eddie shared. And I closed the time! We then went to Black Bear Diner for lunch! And boy did we have a lot of food?!?!?!?! And the conversations were so enjoyable!

We all headed back to Annie's house and chatted and watched a video of Mom at the Day Care Center. It wasn't until 5:30 when people headed home. Alan and I headed back to Nadine Circle and I put together things that Annie had gathered for me. We already have one suitcase of stuff for Isaiah to take back! And then we put all the stuff for Annie in the car and went back over to Annie's. Alan ate dinner while we had bubble milk tea that Eddie brought back. Angel Go went to get the goodies with him. We even had a bowl of shaved ice!

While Alan ate, we cheered Kurtis on as he did the Scratch Off Cards that Corinna bought for him for his birthday! What a fun surprise! He didn't win the big prizes!

One other thing that happened this afternoon was Marc, Corenne's son, called from Indiana and Pam, Suz and I all got to talk to him.

The whole day was filled with so many pleasant surprises. Every aspect as a touch of God's presence!

He sustained me... Tomorrow we will go to church... We forgot to book the court for pickleball in the afternoon... We will see....
