Free Friday!

I was up and went out for a very slow 10K. It was more of a walk than a run... My knee is just weird... I can't really bend it...

I came back and rubbed pain-free cream and put a patch on after my shower. And of course, I iced it some more!

Isaiah was up and out... and I had the house all to myself!

I ate the last German pretzel bread for breakfast and read. Then I took a long nap! It was absolutely refreshing... I napped with an ice brace on my knee. Unfortunately, I did not wake up completely healed... The knee felt better but not healed!

I ate kiwis for lunch. They were already cut and in the fridge and very refreshing! I also had my apple slices with my delicious salad.

It was 1pm and so I turned on the WiFi and Alan called. How nice!!!! The 'situation' has continued... Please pray!

I had to prep for my tutoring this afternoon and I left early as my knee slows down my movements.

Tutoring went well... the second kid was just not motivated and feeling too tired.

After tutoring, I scootered all the way to Neihu and Isaiah joined us. We hung out with Gabe and Wei and their kids. They just moved. What a nice place!

We didn't get home until 10:25!

I just wanted to go to bed...

Interesting PR Day!

I was up and ran my 10k but my right knee feels completely 'off'... After a shower, I started icing it... it looks swelled up. I also put a brace on throughout the day!

I was home and it just felt so great to have a day... 'off'. I had planned things... Like reserve books from the local library, contact our scooter guy to see if he has a good second hand scooter as a friend is looking, clean up Isaiah's corner, get the clothes off the line, and READ! I just can't sit for too long, so I always plan little side jobs that are easy to get done.

I had a delicious breakfast as the gal on Monday gave me GERMAN breads and two salads. I'm still finishing up the breads including one that's a pretzel bread. SO DELICIOUS.

For lunch, someone gave me veggie fish soup. Now, the veggies and noodles were great, but it was difficult as she made it with fish that had BONES! I had to be very careful!

On Monday, I had made an appointment for a massage with Ms. Hsieh at 4pm, so I left early to stop at the local library to pick up some books for tutoring!

Two hours... and I fell asleep... On the way back home, I stopped to ask about a second hand scooter for our friend, Emily and I went to Carrefour to buy Coca Cola and soybean milk.

When I got home, I had dinner ready, but Isaiah went to play basketball at Soochow. I had the house to myself. And yes, I sat and read some more... And I also worked on the Bible study for HOP and the chapters in the book, Heaven! And I watched two episodes of the Rookie!

Lots Going On

I was up early and went out for my usual 10K. It was hot and muggy and humid! Not fun!

After getting home and having a shower, I did take the time to rest!

Isaiah didn't need to get up so early as he had a 'day' in the military... They paid him like 30US$. And he learned CPR but did not get certified.

I went down to assist the recycling pick up and then went to meet up with a gal... our monthly appointment to catch up. She always prepares lots of goodies... and it was the same today! We talked until almost 2:30 and I had to rush home as I had tutoring this afternoon.

I stopped to get salad and made grilled cheese sandwiches and went to tutoring and got there right at 4:30. Wow!

It was the first time back with this sweet kid. She's now in Kindergarten!

The hour flew by and I was on my way home. Earlier I had tried to mail something to the States and that cannot be done anymore! So, I will have to give this small packet to Judy on Saturday and ask her to mail it for me. It's crazy!

I was home and Isaiah got home at around 4:30 and ate two grilled cheese sandwiches.

What a day!

Great Tuesday!

I was up early and went out for my 10K.

I had nothing planned for most of the day, except for Bible study at 7pm.

So, after I got back, I took a shower and then rested.

Isaiah was up and out and I had my breakfast: coffee and a German danish. The lady yesterday gifted me a bag of German breads and goodies and two boxed salads! Wow...

Then I read and finished a book on Communion and then started cleaning these great containers that I got from the recycling area.

I rested more in the afternoon as I will be heading out to my Bible study this evening.

And yes, I posted more things to give away!

Started Tutoring

I was up and went out for my 10K. There was a slight cool breeze as it rained yesterday.

I was home and after a shower, I rested... It felt so refreshing.

Isaiah left and he needed me to do a load of laundry as he has a basketball game tonight. So, I got that started and then had breakfast before sitting down to read!

I also napped on and off. I finished reading the chapters for tomorrow's study on Heaven. And I'm reading another book on Communion.

At 1:15, I left to drop things off at church and then to tutor. At 3:30, after finishing my tutoring, I met up with a sister who needed some advice. She also bought lots of German breads and two Caesar salads for me! WOW...

I was home before 5pm and two other people came over for some counseling. So great... they also brought snacks for me!

Isaiah came home at around 6:15 and got dressed for his game and he will stop at the old house to pick up two small black fans for work!

Our friends left at 7:30... and I had the evening free.

But after what happened on Sunday, the pot has been stirred and people were messaging back and forth like a wild bee hive... It was insane!

Tomorrow is a 'free day'. I hope to avoid all the mean messages and just have tie with God and read and pray! I do have Bible study tomorrow night!

A Different Kind of Sunday

I was up early... and yes, I didn't run, but went and walked around the block. It was nice and cool.

When I got back, I got the fans from the recycling area and proceeded to fix them. Both of them now work! YEAH! I will be giving them away.

I then took a quick nap as we had our monthly HOP Prayer Time that started at 8am. When that finished at 9am, I got things together for Isaiah to take to church and I packed my stuff for the day. What did I planned for the day?

To start off with, I had planned to attend Taipei International Church. Their service started at 10:30. They also have communion on the first Sunday of the month. And after the service, they served some pepperoni and cheese pizza: my favorite! I saw so many friends... And I talked to a newcomer who graduated from Soochow University. Then I saw Gabe and another guy came up to talk to us. As he looked at me, he recognized me or maybe he recognized my voice. He was one of Alan's students from 22 years ago.

As I walked out of the church, I saw their 'free' book rack! I couldn't believe it. There were three copies of My Utmost for His Highest and a book on Communion. I took one copy of My Utmost and the Communion book and headed out to my scooter. I was planning to take the MRT to the Taipei Zoo!

On the MRT, I started to read the Communion book. I liked what the author wrote as a sample text for making the Communion Meaningful! First, the author invited all to read together Matthew 26:20-26. Then this is what is suggested as the text to say before people take the communion (I will write only part of the text!):

The only requirement for you to take Communion is that you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. If that is not the case, you can confess your sins and invite Him to be the Lord of your life right now. There's no better moment than this one to step into His freedom and grace. We do want to examine our hearts, though, before we take this together. Jesus came as our example. Everything that Jesus did here on earth was an example for us to model in our daily lives. In these verses that we just read, we see a stunning example of the purity of His heart. As soon as Jesus talks about the impending betrayal, He turns around and praises God. God help us to do the same.

The text goes on to talk about bitterness or unforgivenss or any time when we've been unkind, etc. It was just an invitation for individuals to reflect.

I arrived at the zoo and it was already 1:15. I put the book away... and tapped my YoYo Card and got into the Zoo. I think it was 50NT$.

I walked to the Panda Pavilion and found seats upstairs and sat myself down and took out my computer. I had wanted to use some time to write... To reflect while my memories are clear about these past four months since my Mom passed. God had planned something special on the 7th of each month thus far, and I felt God was prompting me to continue this. So I will do that for this year. I will go to a place that's special on the 7th of each month until May 7th, 2026 when I will be in Heidelberg.

The day flew by... I walked and saw the elephants, the giraffes, the panda bears, the penguins... Mostly, I just walked and memories flooded my mind. Yes, I did sit and write...

By 5pm, the zoo was shutting down and I took the MRT back to Neihu.

I had only written three pages... but it was a good start: Joyous Journey through Grief. My next time will be Tuesday October 7th! I'm planning on going to YeiLio, the Queen's Head, another place I went with Mom!

Decluttering Saturday!

I was up early and ran my 10K... and yes, I hit 60K for this week.

I came home and trimmed my hair and took a shower!

Then it was nap time!!!!

I got up and ate breakfast... and started to make a lot of grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. I made a total of 12!

Soon, Isaiah was up... I thought it was because I had asked him last night to get up to start decluttering, but he got up because the Chargers' game started!

Alan and Abby were probably glued to the game as well...

This was a special game as it was being played right in São Paulo.

Isaiah was great as he really started decluttering with me at 10am. And we worked so hard! We pulled down containers of stuff from the closets in his room... and we sorted. I posted to give things away. It was intense... We worked with the AC on and at one point, the living room and dining room were stacked with things.

At 12:30, we took a lunch break! And we finished up by 3pm.

I have so many people coming to get things.

Isaiah left at 3:50 to meet up with Fenny. They are heading out to Keelung to meet Fenny's sister. I went to scooter to meet a guy who came to pick up stuff and our guard was so incompetent that she didn't know where the bag was. It was right there on the counter... So, I told the guy I'd scooter over there to drop it off for him.

I was home and had the evening free... so so nice!

And things were picked up! YEAH!

Flying Friday!

I was up early and my running was not flying... I trotted... Finished my 10K.

Yes, I was home and after a shower, I made chicken nuggets for Isaiah's lunch and then rested!

I like this new 'routine'.

After Isaiah left, I sat and read and then started cleaning the floor... I also prepped for my afternoon tutoring!

Then at 11:20, I took off to pick up books for donation and then went to Burger King. I met up with our friend, Gabe. He is trying to consider a career change... and needed someone to bounce off his ideas. I'm totally supportive of this new possibility! We shall see...

I scootered back home and settled down to get the house back in order as I still haven't finished the floor. I haven't mopped in such a long time. I was going to make some grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with avocado... but decided just to take it easy. It was so hot!

And I had tutoring at 4:30, so I left at 3:50 and headed out. Tutoring went well... And I was home by 7:15!

I had a free evening... It was good to have Isaiah home!

Splendid PR Thursday

I was up early and yes, ran my 10K. It felt cooler... but I was still soaking wet from sweat when I got back. It felt good to take a quick shower. I then went and rested.

Isaiah was up and out and I decided to clean one shelf in my freezer and threw out a few things: bones that I had been saving to make soup and a container of nice orange and lemon peel to make the trash cans smell better. But now that Mom is gone...

I used the reminder of the morning to read and rest. At 12noon, I turned on the WiFi and started editing the new study.

Alan called and we talked. That was nice... Maybe I won't be leading this study in January 2026. Please continue to pray... Alan is going to work on a letter of resignation as an elder of HOP.

I had made an appointment for a massage, so I took off and it was a downpour! Wow...

I got there three minutes later...

The massage was so great. I need to do this weekly!

I finished and headed to the old house to pick up the floor steamer. The rain had stopped!

I was home by 6pm and made a simple dinner of couscous with cabbage! YUMMY!

I also looked into Eurail passes... use 7 times within a month: 269$. But I don't think I'll need it that much. We are only planning to go to Heidelberg and somewhere in Switzerland! We have time to consider what's the best plan of actions.

The evening past all too quickly.

Isaiah had basketball practice and before he got home, I used the steamer and mopped the floor!

No Tutoring Wednesday!

I was up early and went out and ran my 10K.

After taking a shower, I went back to bed for my nap... That's so delightful!

Isaiah was up and out and I put away the clean laundry and went downstairs to make sure all the recycling stuff is taken!

I was back up and on the sofa to read for about 30 minutes before I had to head out.

I was going to meet a dear sister who got back from the Philippines and she brought back two bags of corn nuts... But before meeting her, I wanted to go to pay a few bills, go to the old house to pick up the desk lamps that I'm giving away (I forgot to get the steamer, which is ok as I had too many things on my scooter already!), and buy more bananas. She was on time and we stood there to chat a bit before we parted ways.

I went and got a watch battery and then onto PXMart and bought some soda pop and came home with everything. I made vermicelli with cabbage for lunch. Isaiah can have it for dinner! I made a lot!

I also made more grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. He likes to take them for his lunch!

Since there was no tutoring at 4:30, I read and rested!

Tonight, I had counseling with the couple from our church.

A Better Tuesday!

I was up early and ran my 10K.

I got home and put the shrimp poppers in the air fryer for our Bible study gals. I already made couscous!

After my shower, I rested! It always feel so good as I fall so fast asleep!

I got up and Isaiah was up and out and then I took off. I always check the recycling when I'm down by my scooter!

I dropped off donation for the elderly guy who sells things. His 'store' is right by our church. I was glad to get to church early as Tiffany called to check the WiFi system. I had asked her back on August 7th to give a testimony!

Angie, May, Audrey, Ariel, Angela, Grace and I were there and Kathryn joined us on line and supposedly Licat also joined us. The testimony was absolutely perfect! We then did our study and shared prayer requests and finished at around 12:30. After cleaning up, I went over to see Angela's newly remodeled bathrooms and cabinet. I was going to go over to the old house, but I had too many things. I couldn't get the lamps and floor steamer, so I decided to head home. I put things away and started to make grilled cheese sandwiches for Isaiah's lunch and dinner! He is low on money after buying the concert ticket. So, he has been bringing his own food to work.

I was feeling tired, so I laid down for a nap.

At 4pm, I had prayer time with one gal who has been feeling really down.

And then at 8pm, I had prayer time with the gals who I usually pray with the first Monday of the month. We couldn't do it yesterday... so we switched it to tonight!

A Very Long Monday...

I was up early and went out for my run... it was hot but I was glad to be out... I was tired... but I was glad to be out!

I came home and went down to B1 to get things that needed to be given away! I was too tired last night to pick things up!

I took a shower and sorted through things and then I rested.

Isaiah took off and I called the Toyota Dealership.

They will come over sometime today.

Alan messaged me and needed to talk: the church issues... have... escalated! They will have a meeting and he wanted to ask me about my thoughts. We talked for over 2 hours! It was very 'enlightening' as I realized what has been happening over these past two and a half years. At the end of our conversation, we both came to the conclusion that love and unity are more important than these issues. We will move forward!

I had to rush off as I was meeting the students at Soochow. I had promised to buy them stinky tofu and 'fantwan' a traditional Chinese breakfast. I got there just five minutes late... and only 6 of them were there. We had fun chatting and eating. They did not like the stinky tofu!

I was on my scooter at 1pm and I had errands to run: updating bank books, paying bills, getting gas!

When I got home, the Toyota Dealership called and said that they will come sometimes this afternoon! Was I in a hurry to get the car fixed? I said: NO... So at 4:00, they called and came over and got the car started and we headed to the dealership. To make a long story short, the whole 'tune-up' cost 310US$! AAnd I still need to get the tires changed. We usually do that at Costco! I will do that some other time. I was home by 6:15!

I had prayer time at 8:30... and that was the same time as Alan's MEETING!

I will write more in tomorrow's blog!

A Very Long Sunday!

Yes... it was a very long day...

I was up early but didn't go out to walk. I wanted to get things ready as I was going to put a crock pot of ground chicken to make a chicken meat loaf for the Love Feast tonight.

I then decided to pack up things for donation as a neighbor moved and gifted me with lots of things! I also went and took a nap.

But at 8:45, I headed out! I dropped the stuff off at church and started the crock pot. I then headed over to our old house and Isaiah met me there. I had asked him to help me with getting all the furniture into place and stack up what I'd wanted to give away!

We worked so hard for an hour or so and got everything done. We were sweating so much!

He went back home and I went to buy veggies and fruit and to stop at the Toyota Dealership to pick up a battery pack!

We then went and tried to start the car... no can do... I called the Toyota people but because it's a Sunday, they couldn't send anyone over. It's free!

I put all the stuff away and packed up things to bring to church. I had to take a shower... and we took off at 2:20. I stopped to return the battery pack and got to church to help with set up!

Tonight was testimony time... and it was great!

I stayed to chat and didn't get home until 8:15. Isaiah took Fenny home!

At 9pm, I had prayer time and I was so ready for bed when that was finished!

A Very Long Saturday!

I was up early and ran my 10K. I spent a bit more time with Jesus this morning... trying to speak calm and peace to my heart and mind. The run was good!

I was home and after a shower, I baked for the Women's Event!

I rested a bit and headed out.

Isaiah was still in bed!

I dropped off some props to a dear sister and then went to church to set up!

We had 13 ladies and one gentleman who came to help with the set up of the hook-up to do the movie! Everything worked perfectly! The questions, the lunch, the popcorn and the movie and the sharing time!

After that event, I had asked a brother if he wanted to meet to pray together and he said YES! He actually came early and we spent time praying together and when that was finished, I headed home!

I had to put things away... and Isaiah said that Fenny and her sister, Cathy, are coming over and can I make dinner?!?!?! I wasn't expecting this... So... I got tilapia out and a can of clam chowder soup and put that in the oven and made a salad. I was so tired... I had to close my eyes for 5 minutes!

We played Rummique after dinner...

It's Friday!

I was up early... and went for my 10K and I had to really push myself. The heat is getting a bit unbearable even at 4:30 in the morning!

I was home and after a shower, I took a nap! So nice...

Isaiah took off and I went out too. I stopped to buy a bottle of Coca Cola and soybean milk. I was there early to set up and the time flew by. We had 'brunch' for our break and made grilled cheese or grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. We had so much fun! I had them help me bring everything out to my scooter and one of the students took a picture of me on my scooter. I had two other bags hanging off on the other side!

I was home and cleaned up and put things away and was about to take a nap when Alan called. I turned on the WiFi and we talked for about an hour! So nice...

Since it was already like 3pm, I decided to stay home instead of going to the old house to move furniture and see what I can give away. It was nice just to be home! I didn't have to bake... I didn't have to prep for class.

I watched another episode of the Rookie on Netflix. I got Netflix because of my dear friend and sister in Christ... remember: she came over on Monday to set up my lap top so that I can watch the movie, Jesus Revolution, in preparation for tomorrow's Women's Event!

This evening, I was invited to dinner at the house of one of our church couples. They bought a new place right nearby, and they made water dumplings for me... WOW!

It's Thursday!

I can't believe it's Thursday already! Wow...

I was up early and ran slow... but steady and finished my 10K. Today... it felt difficult to move. The heat was different...

I took a shower and took a nap and ate breakfast!

Isaiah was up and out and I left, checking the recycling area and then going to the local supermarket before going to school.

I had time to set up and get things started!

The three hours flew by... I made cheesy corn bread and they really liked it! I should have put more shredded cheese in the bread! And more butter on top!

I was home by 1:15, as I stopped again at the supermarket to buy more lettuce. I had chicken rice for lunch! Very yummy!

Then I prepped for tomorrow, but I didn't need to bake as we're going to have grilled ham and cheese sandwiches tomorrow... and the extension program will order bubble milk tea from 50Lan! I will also bring chips! It's our last class!

I had made a massage appointment for 3pm. But first I stopped at our old house to pick up the keys and to see what the place looks like... I also went to church to pick up these nice paper containers for our class and I dropped off some packages of tissues!

This evening I had Bible study at 8:30. I was so ready for bed at 10pm.

Tomorrow is my last day of the TOEFL class! Wow...

The Busy Wednesday!

I was up early and out for my 10K... and I realized that this week will all be BUSY...

I was home and after a shower, I ate two dragon fruits for breakfast, messaged people, and took a nap.

Isaiah was up and out and I took off right after him. I checked the recycling as pick up was today! And everything was taken... and it looks so nice and clean! YEAH!

I set up and made coffee, and wrote the plans for today and the kids arrived.

The three hours flew by and they enjoyed the brownie cups with frosting!

I got home about 1pm and put things away before having instant noodles with meatballs for lunch! Very yummy! For dinner, I will have my salad!

I started to bake for tomorrow and finished watching the Jesus Revolution movie!

This afternoon, I went to meet this guy that I had helped when he moved back to the States. He had asked me to keep his wedding photo as he couldn't take it. And now, he's back in Taiwan and can bring it with him! We met up at our old apartment as that's where I had stored it! I was thinking: has it been 10 years? It has only been four years!

After the hand-off, I went over to church and got the place set up for Saturday's Women's Event and then I went over to Costco. I got 24-packets of Kirkland tissue, sliced cheese, sliced ham, tilapia and Thai shrimp (that was on sale!). I got everything loaded on my scooter!

I was home and put everything away and had my salad for dinner! It was already 5:30!

Isaiah came home at 7pm and we worked on the car battery! It didn't work... I might have to go and get a battery pack from the Toyota Dealership and work on it some more tomorrow night...

How did the day go by so quickly?

The Busy Tuesday!

I was up early and out and ran my usual 10K.

I was back and after a quick shower, I messaged people and ate breakfast! YUMMY!

I took a nap... and got Isaiah up and out and I headed out!

I was again early... and had time to set up!

The kids' motivation is waning... it's difficult to stay focused for so long. But they enjoyed the break and the goodies.

I got home and ate lunch and had a nice chat with Alan before I started to bake for tomorrow. Brownie cups with extra chocolate chips.

The afternoon sped by... Wow... I took a nap because, tonight I had my Tuesday evening Bible study at 7pm.

Tomorrow... I will have to make a quick trip to Costco to get sliced cheese, bread and ham slices for Friday's 'snack'.

A Sabbath Rest!

I was up, a bit later than usual... and went out for my 10K at 4:40.

I was back and took a shower. I then unpacked the carry on suitcase that my friends brought back for me. It had only 7 kilos of things, so not too bad to put away. I then filled it up with things that I will try to sell for money... I'm saving up now for my trip in May! One pair, for example, is a Roger Vivier black patent leather Tromptee buckle embellished shoes: 23,000NT$. If I can get just 10,000NT$... that would be amazing... because all her shoes are around that price range!

Isaiah was up and out and I sat down to have toast and butter and tea for breakfast. It was absolutely perfect!

I finished my Revelation study. I read. I baked. I talked to Alan. I had a delicious lunch of salad and cold noodles with avocado!

A sweet sister came over at 2:30 to set my computer up with Netflix so that I can watch Jesus Revolution, which is the movie for the women's event this Saturday. We talked and prayed together and after she left at 5pm, I had prayer time with another sister.

I set the iRobot to work and blogged. I didn't feel like eating dinner tonight.

I was hoping that Isaiah would be home early so that we can go down to jump-start the car. But when he got home, I was too tired. The dear sister who came over brought their extra jumbo car jumping battery. I am charging it up... so maybe tomorrow night or Wednesday night I will try to jumpstart the car with Isaiah. We have to get it started and drive it over to the Toyota dealer...

I was just too tried to do that tonight!

I am asking God to act on my behalf with certain issues that are happening at church! Please pray!

What A Sunday!

I was up early and went out for a walk up and down the hill. It was nice...

I was home and took a shower and messaged people.

By 9:30, I was out... and went down to drive the car... only to find that the car is DEAD! Absolutely DEAD!

So, I had to regroup and take the scooter!

I was at the Young Adults Fellowship and all my students joined... It was a fantastic time.

After the Fellowship, they took the bus and I took my scooter and met them at Costco. But they changed the rule... only two extra people for one card. RIDICULOUS! Anyhow, I took two people in and then took the rest of the group to RTMart. And they ended up liking that place better. I scootered back to Church and got there by 3:15. Wonderful May, the new gal that I trained up to do Love Cafe, had everything ready! Delightful!

I shared the message: Forgive One Another!

Lots of people responded as they needed to move in obedience to God and forgive.

I came home and our dear friend, Wenting, left three HUGE bags of clothes! I am so blessed! I separated the items and have them bagged up to give away!

I also had prayer time with a gal... We pray every Sunday! Even while I was in the States!

Tomorrow is my Sabbath. YIPPY!

Daily Lovely Insight:

It might sound like God's forgiveness is 'conditional', but what it really means is if we choose not to forgive others, we have not fully embraced and received the forgiveness from God. For if we have, then we would extend forgiveness to others!

Voting Day

I was up early and so glad to be out finishing my 10K before it got hot!

I came home and showered and finished up the notes and the ppt! I also sent some discussion questions for next week's Lunch & Movie Women's Event. Kathryn and I are working on that as well as the Prayer Ride on 9/13. She decide on the route and I arrange the prayer foci. And while I was running, I felt that we should focus on Ephesians 1-3 and for our last prayer bike we will focus on Ephesians 4-6.

I did take a nap! And at 9:30, I went out to get fruit and veggies and to vote. Should Taiwan restart the Third Nuclear Power Plant!?!?!?! Personally, they should have never shut it down because alternative power was not in place. Anyhow, I was home by 11am.

Isaiah and I had planned to go look at some possible properties. We decided not to call the agents but to ride around these interesting areas where we saw apartments for sale and think about the areas. There is an apartment for sale right in this neighborhood. Isaiah went and left his number to see if the owner would contact him directly.

We left at 1:45 and went to Nangang and DaAn. I must share an interesting thing that happened on the way to Nangang.

I noticed that my gas was low, so I felt the Lord leading me to this particular gas station. And right in front of me another motorcyclist with two kids had finished getting gas. But the attendants seemed to be flustered. It turned out that he didn't bring his wallet and couldn't pay. I took out money and paid for him. It was just a little 5US$. It was no big deal... but he was very appreciative. I thought how wonderful that I heeded the Lord's leading and stopped there to get gas!

So, I was on my way again... and I got so lost. I missed a turn and went up to the hills behind Nangang. I finally turned around and retraced my route. Isaiah was like "Mom, what happened to you?" The apartment is tucked behind this area with very few busses. It's nice and quiet, but not so convenient. As we headed off to the next place, Isaiah told me to follow him and I'm so glad I did. We went up and around another hilly trail and the whole place was covered with tombs! (Today is the start of the lunar 'Ghost Month'!) Isaiah and I had a great ride. But I would have been so lost if I wasn't following him. We dropped down into the Taipei 101 area and the apartment was right near the crematorium! Hilarious!

We stopped for some bubble milk tea and looked at the area. Again, it was a very old apartment complex but a lot more conveniently located. It's probably a 7 minute walk to the MRT station and a 15 minute scooter ride to work for Isaiah. The listed price is a bit high, so we will pray before we contact the owner! Yes, it's for sale by owner, so we might be able to save some money, not having to pay the agent's fees! It was already 3:30. Isaiah went to meet up with Fenny and I headed back to Neihu! YEAH! I stopped at a store to look for these shopping bags for my TOEFL students. I found one of the kinds that they wanted. I got three of them. And while I was in there, I thought I'd call Ms. Hsieh to see if she was free and she was! So, I scootered over there and got a 90 minute massage! YEAH! It was absolutely luxurious! I came home at around 7pm and took another shower!

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day so it was nice to be home. I worked on my Revelation study! We will have our last session this coming Thursday night!

It's Friday!

I had the usual morning routine... but last night my stomach was feeling upset and this morning I had diarrhea. I thought I wasn't going to be able to go out... but after taking two natural Japanese stomach pills, I felt fine. In fact, I ran faster! I guess there was no extra stomach content!

I took a shower and rested.

I got Isaiah up and he took off and I took off soon after.

I was early to class and set up and made coffee. The three hours flew by!

I was home by 1:15 and had a salad for lunch! YUMMY!

The afternoon flew by as I had notes and ppt to finish up and I took a nap! Splendid! Yes, I had the AC on!

Isaiah and I met at the Miramar Burger King for dinner!

Oh, I found out that James Dobson passed away...

Not My Sabbath Day!

The usual morning routine...

I headed out to Soochow and class went well... again!

I didn't get home until 1:20! But I had started cooking lunch in the rice cooker before leaving for work. So, when I got home, everything was ready. I made rice with three eggs and a packet of ground chicken. YUMMY! I had a huge plate of it!

I put everything away and prepped for tomorrow. But I didn't have to bake as we're having PB&J sandwiches tomorrow. Next week: grilled cheese sandwich!

I was going to take a nap, but Alan was up, so we had time to chat!

Then I got a call from Ming Chuan. Can I take the MOE Wednesday job? The teacher quit as she got married! What??? I was just there in June and July! I had to say no since I had already told Soochow that I'll be doing the Bible study on Wednesday afternoon for this upcoming school year! They were very sad that they didn't let me know earlier!

I was thinking about going for a massage, but decided just to stay home and finish my talk notes and PPT.

I can't believe it's already Thursday!

Isaiah had basketball practice tonight after work!

The Routine...

Up early... Out for my run... Home... Shower... Prep... Or today I cleaned two of my dresser drawers.

Isaiah was up and out and I went out after him...

I checked the recycling and there were so nice stuff that I brought back home after I got back from class.

The class went well... I hope they are enjoying it.

And this afternoon, on the way back, I stopped to buy eggs, bread, and milk! The bread is for Friday as I'm getting the kids to make their own PB&J sandwiches for snack time! I am also going to bring my coffee maker so we can have freshly made coffee... ha, ha, ha... We are like having fun! And hopefully, they are learning a lot!

After getting everything put away, I ate lunch first! Then I started baking the banana raisin apple sauce cake!

Oh before leaving this morning, I set the iRobot going... so when I got home, the floor was nice and clean!

I took a nap once the cake was out of the oven and when I got up, it was time to go down to get the stuff that I will test and if things are ok, give away! I also prep for the rest of the week and worked on my talk and ppt.

Tonight I had counseling with a couple from church. So, I couldn't go to bed until 10pm!

TOEFL Class Started!

I am daily grateful when God wakes me up at or around 3am. It's truly amazing!

I had time with Jesus and messaged a few people and went off for my usual 10K. I am enjoying the time to think and pray!

I was home and took a quick shower, messaged some more people and took my nap. I was up and I still had time, so I worked on my talk before waking Isaiah up.

He left and 10 minutes later, I left.

It was an easy ride to school and I found the classroom and unloaded everything. Then I parked my scooter and walked back.

The students are so wonderful! Their English is not great, but we had a great time! I baked banana bread with these green cookie pieces that I put in there since I wanted it to look special. And I also brought coffee packets and tea bags. I told them our schedule: we go from 9 to 10:30 and take a break at 10:30. Then at 10:50,  we continue until 12noon. I went over time... And I need to be better about that. Because they only have one hour for lunch, they start back at 1:10 and it's three hours of reading and writing and it's so tough to stay awake. I don't know how they are going to do it!

I came home and started baking and prepping for tomorrow! I made a chocolate chips banana cake. Tomorrow I think I'll try an apple sauce banana bread... Oh... I forgot to mention that I invited them to our Sunday Young Adults Fellowship and I was so shocked that one by one they responded and said YES! I think by the end of today, all 11 of them will come! Please remember to pray for them. Last year, the students were really touched by God. I pray that this group will have a similar experience!

I was so glad that I didn't have anything tonight.

I worked on my talk and the PPT for Sunday and went to bed early!
