Update on the leak situation!
I went and bought the waterproof paint and will start painting tonight... Alan will put the silicon around the shower head and faucet. Please continue to pray!
It was another busy day. I had a long to-do list!
1. Go buy waterproof paint.
2. Get money from the post office.
3. Pay credit card bill and mail a letter for Isaiah.
4. Go to the library -- return books and pay fine.
5. Go to the housing report office as there were some changes.
6. Tutor at 3pm.
7. Run!
Of course, paint the bathroom. And I did some housework... bought meat buns for the kids and cooked!
I had on my list - rest -- but that didn't happen.
It has been sprinkling all day...

Oh No... Please Pray...
Last night our neighbor downstairs came over as they are having big problems... most likely from one of our bathrooms or pipes... There is puddles of water on their floor. We've tried to fix it many times... and the problem goes away, only to come back.
So, I worked on calling plumbers... and one will be coming over later on tonight... I don't know what he will say. On the phone he tells me -- it could be as easy as a sink leak and as big as a pipe leak, which would involve changing the pipe from your kitchen to the bathrooms. That means the pipe is in the floor and we'd have to destroy our kitchen and both bathrooms! So... please pray! I will definitely keep you posted.
The temperature dropped. Both kids are not feeling well...
I was going to go and look at more stuff at my friend's house to hopefully donate... but I had no time. I did go for a quick run... I like this weather... cool and breezy.
Alan had meetings this afternoon and the kids were at school all day. Isaiah decided not to tutor so that he can work on stuff at home. Abby finished her assignment just in time...
Oh... besides working on the plumber, I ordered tickets to go back to the States for 5 days in March. I was praying and trying to arrange for the care of my mom... and it struck me... just take her with me. I asked Annie if she was ok with caring for mom... and when Annie said YES, I booked the tickets. Each ticket was only about 550US$ and Annie was kind and generous (as always) to pay for my mom's ticket.
We still have not set our summer 2020 plans... Too many variables are still up in the air! Alan for sure will go to the States, but my kids and I and Mom... we'd love to get out of the Taiwan heat... but they might just want to stay in Taiwan... Isaiah is still waiting on the internship and Abby is still thinking about what she'd like to do this summer. I was hoping to buy the tickets as early as possible... but since I think we won't be booking until after Chinese New Year!

A Bit More Time to Rest...
I made an appointment and went for a 60-minute massage... Felt so good...
Then it was back to the grind... running numerous errands.
The downstairs neighbor came and we are trying to see the source of the leak... Please pray!
Isaiah came home with a bad tummy ache. Not a great time to have that as he will have midterms next week.
I didn't have to tutor today... So... that helped to give me time to rest... well... sort of...

So Much To Do...
I made a list of all that I had to do today...
1. Go to the bank and pay off another lump sum of our mortgage! We are down to the last 10,000US$!
2. Go to the post office to update all passbooks.
3. Go to the library.
4. Organize all the White Elephants.
5. Do a load of laundry.
6. Sort through the medicine box.
7. Put together an assortment of stationery goods for a friend.
8. Vacuum (and I wanted to mop, but no time).
9. Bake for Abby. (She wants to bring some homemade items to school for her classmates!)
10. Prep for tutoring! (And I had tutoring this evening.)
11. Proofread two items for a friend!
12. RUN!
And of course, I checked my emails... and now I'm blogging...
I also called Soochow to ask that they send me the amount to pay for Kurtis and I will call to make an appointment for a health check up as that's required for the ARC for Kurtis!

Two Services Today!
This morning I headed out to Glory English Ministry. Alan and Isaiah and Abby all went to play ball early this morning... and Mom was up early, too...
So, it was difficult trying to get ready while Mom was up and about...
Alan came home and I headed out... I got so lost going to the church... I got confused as to which bridge I had to go across... Thankfully, the Lord did it... as I got there three minutes before the service started.
The message was anointed... and I stayed for their potluck lunch. I baked last night and had a loaf of bread cake... and I brought cherry preserve and butter... delish...
I rushed back and in 45 minutes we were out the door again... We had to set up and get ready for the service. Mom had lunch and still wanted to eat all the kids' snacks that I had bought... Amazing!
The service was fantastic. Alan shared briefly about why we have Children's Day... the kids did several performance... Abby was the worship leader... and we had a fabulous love feast and all the kids got to pick a game!
We dropped Kurtis off at the place where he tutors and we came home... I still had two errands to run... so after Mom was settled, I headed out!
God is the strength of my life...

It Can't Get Any Busier, Can It?
I can't believe it how crazy today was...
We were all going every which way...
Alan drove the car to his tennis match and was late in coming back...
Abby was gone to her meeting...
Isaiah was the only one sleeping in... Lucky him?!?!?!
I was doing laundry and putting more things away... Plus, I was sorting through the box of stuff we got... I was hoping to go to the library... but with Mom home, I couldn't really leave her unattended.
When Alan got back, I was downstairs with Mom. We went to pick up Kurtis... and on the way to the massage place, I did stop at the library. I dropped them off and went to my tutoring while they got a massage.
Then I went to pick them up. Brought them home and I packed the car up with things for donation.
I dropped that off and came home. Alan was running late... Abby was running late. So, Kurtis, Isaiah, Mom and I headed out. There in the garage was Alan. So, he hopped in the car with us, and we took off for dinner at the Italian restaurant.
We ordered way too much...
We drove Kurtis back to Soochow... And came home. While Mom got ready for bed, I got a call from our friends. There are still boxes of stuff at the place, can I go over there now to pick up everything? I It was already 9pm. I couldn't go... so I called a friend. She will drive there tomorrow night and pick up all the stuff and drive it straight for donation! Thank you, Jesus for dear friends!
I am blogging now... and hopefully will go for a quick run before we have family time...
I will be sharing tomorrow morning... and Children's Day tomorrow afternoon...
I am praying... Will the next two months be like this???

Cleaning Out...
A friend called as their rich neighbors wanted to remodel and had a whole house of things to give away.
I was so shocked by what I saw today...
It just made me realize that money is not the most important thing... when you die, you leave everything... and all the unused cans of tea and new clothes were gathering bugs...
There was so much stuff...
There were dishes enough for 10 families...
New shirts and suits... for 30 men!
I can't even put words to what I saw today...
It was supposedly our date... but we spend most of the day cleaning and sorting and giving things away as I didn't want anything wasted... But what we were able to do was barely put a dent to the massive amount of things that were there...
