Happy Birthday to Alan...
I had so much to do... it wasn't even funny.
I had to go to Taoyuan for a wedding...
Rushed back to Taipei and set up at church...
The filming crew came...
I was the speaker...
Helped with clean-up...
Came home and did two more loads of clothes. I thought I was all done... but Alan threw out a whole bunch of stuff that was in his tennis bag. I almost fainted!
So, now, I think I'll be up until 1am... and I thought I'd get to bed early as we are leaving at 9am and I have to go and drop off things at the elderly center... And of course, I get up early for my 'date' with God.
I won't be blogging for a month...
So... see you in the middle of August! Please keep us in your prayers!
I'm so tired... I think I'll take some vitamin C!

My First French Manicure!
It was another busy day...
Running lots of last minute errands...
Met up with my dear friend Angel Lin who is here from the States and we had a fabulous lunch together...
Came home to get some more packing done... and another load of clothes and trying to get the house cleaned before we take off...
Then I went to meet up with Abby as I got us some coupons to get our nails done.
And the lady was super nice... I asked for a French manicure... and she did it just beautifully... For only 10US$!
I love it so much... I think I might have to get this done again!
Abby went for two colors and the lady drew simple designs on her nails...
We are ready for the cruise!

Passing Out Flyers!
Abby and I were out the door by 7:30 to pass out flyers at the local junior high schools as today is the orientation for the incoming 7th graders. We wanted to get some students to sign up for Crown Cram School where she works. We passed out about 120 flyers... if 10% registers... then Abby would have a full 7th grade class!
Afterwards, we came home to drop things off as I had made lunch reservation at Casa Della for 12noon! It was the perfect treat after such a busy morning.
Abby taught in the afternoon while I ran errands and went for a run... Alan, Isaiah and I also got our teeth cleaned!
Family Time this evening and packing... packing... packing...

Massage and A Facial!
Happy 4th of July!
Abby and I went for a massage and a facial this morning... Three hours of pure pampering... Did I mention that on Saturday we're going to get our nails done? This is all in preparation of the cruise! So fabulous... Of course, I found great deals on the internet... the massage and facial was 17US$ per person!
Abby then went to play board games with some of her classmates, while I ran around and got errands done! I also wanted to try to get Abby's scooter fix... It shuts down when you try to accelerate!
I got home and went for a quick run before going to pick up my mom!
Alan had his debate students over today... so it was perfect for all of us to be out of the house.
Isaiah went out with his girlfriend...
Abby went to work for three hours. Alan had an overseers meeting this evening.
I stayed home with Mom!
What a blessed day!

Celebrating Alan's Birthday on Tough Grandpa's Birthday!
Yes, I made reservation at the Brasserie, a 5 star all you can eat buffet restaurant as they serve one of the best afternoon teas.
Since Mom is at the elderly center, we could have some family time!
We got there at 2:25 and the line was long... If I didn't book a month ago, we would have not gotten in.
The food was fabulous...
We were so stuffed... No Dinner for any of us!
Abby had to teach at 6 and we had to pick Mom up at 5!
It was such a fun afternoon!
We are not celebrating Alan's birthday on the 7th of July because we will be at church and I will be speaking. Plus, the film crew will be there to finish up the infomercial featuring my mom and James, my brother! I also have a wedding to go to... it's a lunch time banquet, but I won't be able to sit down and eat. I'll take the train there... greet the bride and groom and take the train back... It's going to be a hectic morning... not to mention that we leave on Monday for the States.
We have had many hectic days... so it was fabulous to just sit and relax and enjoy a meal together!

Our New Lofty Goal!
I told Alan that we should set a 'lofty' goal -- to pay off our house loan by April of 2020! That means we'd be debt free! No more mortgage payments!
April 2020 would be our 33rd anniversary! And three is my favorite number...
Plus that would be 17 years since we bought the house! We signed to purchase the house on May 2nd, 2003!
The kids are now earning their own pocket money... and they have gotten good grades, so we have received the school scholarship to pay for their tuition!
And now that Mom is at the elderly center, I've been able to go back to tutoring more hours...
Well... that's only 10 months from now... So, it's a lofty goal because that means we'd have to put in 2,300US$ per month! Alan only earns about that much each month... ha, ha, ha...
So, you see why it's a lofty goal!
We trust the Lord to make all things possible!
I'll keep you posted!

It's July!
The day started early... After dropping off Mom, Alan and I worked on pulling out all the carry-on bags and the suitcases! That alone was a huge task. I was sweating and decided to splurge and turn on the AC. I'm so glad I did... I would have melted!
I then went and pulled out all the stuff that I've been gathering... Our living room was a mess... I finished by 4pm! That's also because I decided to look through things in the back balcony and sort and throw out paper and plastic bags!
I still need to go and purchase things... Abby has not given me things that she wants to bring. Alan has not packed either. I will let him do that at his leisure.
Everything is now neatly piled in our living room...
I decided to go for a run after my mom went to bed... it was too hot during the day! I also cut my mom's hair... and Alan's hair. We are ready, almost! One week from blast off!
